  1. Please consider separate categories for live musical performance vs all these DJs mixing EDM!

Right now it is WAY too hard to find streamers who are actually singing or playing instruments. I get so frustrated browsing the Music & Performance category because the content I'm looking for is always, ALWAYS buried beneath an absolute mountain of DJs broadcasting their gigs at clubs or mixing prerecorded music from home set-ups.

The funny part is that I don't even necessarily -dislike- EDM! My fondest memories of the late 90s are pretty much a blur of party drugs and glow sticks thanks to the underground rave scene. That said... these streams are too numerous and it feels…

  2. Add graphic Design category

While gaming is the primary use for twitch, streaming is quickly diversifying.

The creative categories contain a variety of arts from Food to FiberArts.
However, graphic designers are not represented despite the quickly growing community on Twitch.

YungKhan, Sledge315, BigBeerwolf, innergeekdesign, to name a few, would all benefit from the addition of a Graphic Designer category.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  3. Allow Nudity

Since the creation of twitch creative last year, there's been a great community growing. Twitch has made a new and exciting platform for artists to connect with their audience that hasn't really existed before. It allows for such a personal connection between the art, artist, and viewer. When I see artwork from an artist that I watch regularly, not only do I see their beautiful creation, I remember special moments when they completed a section of their work.

On October 28th, 2015, when Twitch creative was announced on the Twitch blog they wrote, ”We expect to learn much about what…

  4. Don't allow nudity on Twitch

This is simply a copy paste of a reply from a recent reddit post on the subject. It's un edited for this purpose but it gets the point across. (Seeing as there are already 2 people asking for nudity, I figured the counter needed a spot)

I'm a Creative streamer. Long before Creative was a thing. I don't want nudity as part of broadcasts. Why? Several reasons. I run a business. Customers come to my channel to see my work, and one of the problems with nudity is that I don't want my business to be associated with it -…

  5. Get rid of the VOD feature of posting msgs in chat and...

The whole chat experience is talking with actual people. Watching VODS and posting messages in chat that no one will ever see is meaningless, and I have no idea why it was implemented in the first place. As someone who watched VODS on occasion I would love the ability to chat with anyone else watching the VOD. Biggest problem: What time are they watching the VOD at? They are surely chatting about something I am not watching. Possible solution is just to have a parentheses after every message which is what time they are watching at. People will migrate towards…

  8. Review the Creative TOS, Twitch

In your own TOS you allow:
Building construction sets (Lego, Erector sets, Mega Bloks, K'nex, Duplo, etc) or model kits (Warhammer, Gundam, and etc)

    You do not, however, allow:
    Toy assembly

How do you know that the Gundams etc. Will not be used as toys once they are done? How can you be sure they will not be gifted to a family member and that they will use them as toys.

    Toy assembly should be allowed.

    You do not allow: Unboxing
But yet many people do unboxing streams (primarly "big streamers")

You do not allow: Playing puzzles
    But you allow…

  9. Create a "Global Paintbrush badge" for artists who've designed emotes for a # of channels and/or let artists use emotes they made for free

    Hey all,

I posted 2 ideas for artists but didn't realize there was a specific section for Creative ideas and posted them in General instead. Since they already got votes I'm hesitant to delete them and re-upload so I wanted to post the links here in hopes that you will all check out my ideas (and hopefully support them). Thank you!

    1. Let emotes artists use the emotes they draw for partnered streamers for free

  10. Please add a 3D Modeling Community

Please add a 3D Modeling community. Since the introduction of communities to Creative, we have not had a 3D Modeling community.
No current community caters specifically to 3D Artists. A dedicated 3D Modeling community will help viewers find streamers who work with 3D modeling programs and artwork.

  11. Add Pole & Aerial Arts under Performance Arts

Now before you read "Pole" and start thinking "Stripper" it needs to be explained that they are NOT one and the same.

Pole fitness, aerial silks, hammock, and lyra are beautiful yet intense circus style forms of performance art that incorporate dance, strength, balance, flexibility, creativity, and a touch of unicorn tears (to heal all the scrapes and bruises you get from training).

By streaming training and routine choreography for Pole (mostly) and some silks, my intention would be to not only better myself & prep for competitions, but also to create awareness and break down the crappy stereotypes associated…

  12. Why does 2d artists have like 11 diff. creative communities and 3d artists don't have a single one?

painting, illustration, drawing, anime, watercolor, comics, sketch, digital illustration, graphite, pixelart, digital illustration

    and 3d artists... none?

    Is that real Twitch?

  14. The ability to create your own Community is a disaster

In most cases there are long established categories of art. Now it seems like everyone just applies their own definition to everything. For instance, someone may not have any idea what "Illustration" is but they think they do so they use the word. They don't care enough to do any research. It becomes their thing. "I do this...." The problem is that no one else knows their definition. How can a viewer use these loosely defined categories to find what they are looking for? There has to be a degree of structure adhering to terms defined by something larger, older…

  15. Please add the 'GameArt' Community to the Creative main communities page

So we can also have something different from GameDevelopment which is more programming oriented

  16. Promote your contests

When you do contests, make sure to promote them often in your own public communication channels.

Example is the ongoing twitch animation contest. The only public mention of it from Twitch has been a single blog post when it started. Most participants only heard of it via word of mouth. The purpose of contests like this is presumably to get attention to the creative section on twitch and attract more broadcasters and viewers. Then you should mention it on your blog and twitter accounts, make some press announcements, and regularly feature online streams of the participants as they're working on…

  17. Add Knitting as a Creative Community

It would be nice to see Knitting in its own Creative community. Knitters currently reside in the Fiberarts community, which can be a catchall for other fiber related crafts, including Crochet, which already has its own community. For knitting broadcasters, it would help direct viewers to our craft if Knitting has its own separate community.

  18. Mobile broadcasting app?

In the iTunes App Store there's an app or 2 that is a streaming platform for Twitch but not one made by Twitch. Also you have to pay to use the full capabilities of one and it doesn't seem to be too amazing. Could there possibly be an app created for broadcasters to be able to stream away from a pc/ console? It might be better or more convenient for IRL stuff but it's just a thought.

  19. Add a method of displaying each artist's completed works within the info panels or elsewhere

Right now we can't really see what previous works an artist has done and if it is posted, it's typically hosted off in instagram, etsy shops, and artist websites. It would be great to have a mini gallery in the info section or elsewhere to get a feeling of an artist's styles as well as seeing their work easily within the site and app. I think this would help drive viewers to new and established artists as well as drive sales, commissions, subs, bits etc.. to them if people like what they see.

  20. find a better way to display the artistic categories so that it's not only sorted by number of viewers

Right now, when you go to the Creative landing page, it shows the different communities, sorted by the number of viewers. While this makes sense in some ways to show the more popular categories, I feel like within the top communities (which are usually, #music #food #illustration #drawing #digitalillustration #painting), there is a lot of overlap in the communities people usually have like 3+ of these, and many of them are using the tags incorrectly in my opinion (i.e. people who are doing zbrush stuff but using the #painting tag). But I can see why they would? The top categories…
