Remove Russian language as a primary one from the Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). We're not Slavic and we do not speak Russian. We're not Slavic and we do not speak Russian. We're Northern European people with our own culture and language. Stop forcing us to listen to Russian ads when we understand English more than we understand our own native languages (Lithuanian, Latvian).

Its just to much I watch several streams, every night, for years. At first I had no problem with ads, but now every 15 minutes there is an ad. I dont enjoy watchings streams anymore. Sometimes I opened up 5 different Streams at the same time and every stream has an ad running. I just want to see what they are doing and have a good time. Most of the time I instant close twitch. I am a fine artist, painting in watercolour as LorrainePaints. I am steadily growing my stream thanks to my son Grathwrang. Although Twitch is geared up for gamers (this is obvious) it is an excellent social media site for lots of artists. It is unfortunate that this has not dawned on your management. Automatically play ads when stream is static Make it an option to play ads while your stream is static (meaning the streamer is not at the computer) This would be a great way for streamers to remove pre-rolls without sacrificing any content for the viewers watching.
How it would work: Twitch detects a static screen in a channel with the settings enabled. It then sends out a 30 second ad (Configurable by the streamer) The streamer comes back with a happy audience and with pre-rolls disabled for newcomers.

ads connecting to donation goals Okay so we want to do a 12 hour stream. within this stream we want to give all we get to a charity of our choice. but is it possible to only place ads of that specific charity during the stream instead of getting somekind of snacks ad while donating to diabetes ... would be really stupid to see doritos while you running to send money for diabetes or something like that right.

Make Multiplayer Ads Easier To Run Basically, when an ad is ran I rarely get a multiplayer ad they are always the normal ads, if there could be an option to only run multiplayer ads it would be way more efficient and keep the viewers from clicking off an ad break! For example ads are ran by /commercial then the number of seconds, for multiplayer ads they could be /multiplayercommercial then the number of seconds. For the content creators that use the buttons on the dashboard just add a simple button for the multiplayer ads.

Have the playback report actually work maybe....? Every time I request not to see a specific ad because it is either offensive/inappropriate, or is not in line with my interests, it's like the report just goes into a black hole.
I keep getting the same ads over and over again even after I have submitted a playback issue report.
The feature just seems to be there to make you feel like you're doing something, when in actuality it's being ignored, and Twitch (or maybe Amazon) is the ultimate arbiter in what ad you get to watch.

Timer to disable Pre-Roll Ads should begin *after* the ad break completes When a streamer triggers an ad break, a timer begins, indicating the amount of time pre-roll ads are disabled for new viewers. This timer currently begins at the start of the ad. For example, let's say you run a 90-second ad, and the Pre-Roll Disabled Timer begins at 40 minutes. You actually lose 90 seconds of that perk while your community is watching the ad break, and anyone who comes in during the ad break still sees the ad you're playing. Buffer Stream during ad It's extremely annoying missing content with all the ads. Can you imagine watching TV shows where you miss content during commercial breaks? Yeah, didn't think so.
There should be an Opt-In option for users to Buffer the Stream when mid-roll ads are playing, then after the ad is done the buffered stream is played back at 1.5x speed until you're caught up with the live stream.
This wouldn't need to be enabled for the pre-rolls, just the ads after the stream is playing so you don't miss content.
How is this not a thing?

AD's Kill Raids. let the ad's play a few mins after a raid.. not as people are entering chat for the 1st time. and then missing the raid it's self.

Make Ad watching a survival style mini-game, based around the viewer choosing to interact with an ad. Had this idea, didn't really know where else to post it. Just trying to get it out there.
So I know Twitch has been struggling to come up with a way to monetize with ads, and with the whole "forced mid-roll" fiasco, I think everyone is worried that whatever they do will be very "un-Twitch" by trying to emulate live TV. So my idea was to just gamify it.
Twitch recently added the little icon dudes that everyone can choose as their logo, and I thought that could be like your Twitch persona, and you basically just turn ad watching…

Bits for first ad of every new stream you visit Its simple, 1-5 bits, for every ad I get for the new stream I watch, because that incentivizes people going through new channels, in their favorite games and finding new channels to watch. Shakes up the viewers, helps them find more people, AND helps them see their support in bits stack to give to the better streamer at the end of that hunt or they go back and give it to their favorite channel. Ad streamlining through partner panels It feels counterintuitive from a creator stand point. Though I appreciate the stance of supporting creators, there must be better ways to implement paid ads. Personally, I'd love to see a system in place that connects partnered streamers to advertisers through some sort of partner panel. Plenty of streamers do paid ads already, but if you connect a streamer to a physical product to try on stream (a drink, snack, service, etc.) It's more interactive for the audience, and the streamer. Advertisements on some streams loop Ads loop, often 5+ times (especially on /cristianes2), appear almost immediately after starting the stream. Also if the stream is manually paused at some point (even if not during an ad), unpausing too often results in an ad within a minute or two.
There are other streams on which I get no ads.
(Also the same ad should never been played twice in succession, surely, as it just encourages people to be angry at the advertiser)5 votes
