  1. Every time I request not to see a specific ad because it is either offensive/inappropriate, or is not in line with my interests, it's like the report just goes into a black hole.

I keep getting the same ads over and over again even after I have submitted a playback issue report.

The feature just seems to be there to make you feel like you're doing something, when in actuality it's being ignored, and Twitch (or maybe Amazon) is the ultimate arbiter in what ad you get to watch.

Please have this feature function properly, so people who wish to…

  2. If you guys are going to completely FORCE ads down our throats, you need to do one of three things:
    1) By far the easiest solution - Make Ads Skippable after X seconds.
    2) Make ads something that pops up as a Picture in Picture in the corner or something when a stream is running. I honestly like this one the best because I honestly wouldn't have an issue checking out whatever is being advertisted as well as (and I cant stress this enough) NOT MISSING STREAM CONTENT because someone wants to run 7-10 15-30 second ads in a row.…

  3. I love supporting Twitch streamers but I do not have money. Therefore I would love a possibility where I can support the streamer by watching ads that I myself click on a button to watch. You could make a system so the streamer gets notified when someone has watched 20 ads, 50 ads, 100 ads etc. And maybe also write how much money example 100 ads are worth.

  6. Please fix where ads play when you raid somebody right at the start it’s honestly pretty disrespectful from twitch to allow this to happen and destroy first impressions

  7. So that for instance if in my tastes i dislike, say, ed sheeran i can signal that dropping multiple ads about it in a row is hurting my experience to the point i'm leaving doing something else.
I'm otherwise not that annoyed by the occasional ad, esp. about something new.

Feature could be made available after showing a certain count of the same ad

  8. If a person gives a certain amount of money towards streamers on a monthly basis, they should be rewarded with site-wide ad-free viewing. Like, if they give 20€ or whatever (5 Tier 1 subs), then they should no longer see ads anywhere as 5 times twitch's cut off of a T1 sub should be enough to warrant it.

"But why don't you just buy Turbo" Because Twitch exists as a platform to support streamers and I'd rather spend 40€ on streamers to avoid ads than give Twitch 8-10€. I'm here to support people, not at platform.

  9. Showing Ads while the streamer takes a 1 min rest or so by the choice of the streamer.
That will increase the Ad revenue to the streamer and to Twitch as well.
but, it has to be a minimum of 1 hour between each Ad display so that it would be acceptable.
Regions based Ads are better in that situation, by a click of a button by a streamer an Ad will display for a maximum of 1 min then display the streamer screen afterward.

upvote for the idea to mainly benefit small streamer.

    Thanks

  10. The new “auto running ads” is a great start. Now add a countdown alert where the hype train is indicating an upcoming ad & how long it will be. Offer a pop up in chat allowing non-subs an option to click sub to avoid it & subs to click to choose to view it for extra support & offer cool “ad supporter badges” for people that change & get cooler the more ads they watch as a reward for supporting through ads. For more of my ideas please look under the hashtag #bladesideas on Twitter. I’ve already come up with…

  11. When switching to Mod view on a channel, it will sometimes run an ad, even if I've just loaded the page watched an ad and switched to mod view.

When going into Mod View, it shouldn't roll an ad, which, in some instances I've switched to that view at the request of the streamer, which I then loose details from the streamer due to the ad roll.

    1. Does streamers get ad revenue on highlights?
    2. Does streamers get ad revenue on highlights even if highlights are embedded on a website owned by channel owner?
    3. If YES then write/ provide this info on affiliate ad revenue program page. Thanks, Reason for this request is that I could not find this info on twitch ,also could not get relevant info even after reaching out to twitch support.

  12. I appreciate the addition of the ads manager. But I wish I could delay auto ads besides running one manually. If something super exciting is happening on stream it'd be great to have a 'delay the auto ad for 3 minutes' button or something like that. You could limit it to one delay per hour so people don't try to abuse it.

  13. Users sometimes dont know how much of an impact a sub does to themself especially how much annoying ad has been blocked. This will provide an insight or eagerness for a user to sub or turbo.

  15. User controlled ad experience:

-Users run their own ads to build up an "ad immunity" duration for their current account.
-This ad immunity duration will allow the user to view streams without encountering preroll/midroll/other ads for this period.
-Longer the ads watched the longer the ad free duration.
-Can have an upper limit of ad free viewing time, requiring additional ad viewing to top off the duration.
-Users can choose who gets the ad revenue share, depending on where they trigger the ads to view. Either with a channel they want to support, or give the share to Twitch. Use…

  16. Instead of having only pre-rolls and mid-rolls, I suggest including an ad credit system. Whenever people watch ads, they'll earn credits (similar to how bits used to work) and will be able to spend these credits to "skip" ads on channels they watch. This can be done in a few ways. I suggest having an ad stream where people can accumulate credits or some type of ad viewer of equivalence. This way, people would be able to accumulate as many credits as they want, to afford the price of a skip button on ads. This has absolutely no down side…

  17. Ads are presented as "supporting content creators" but there are a large number of people on Twitch who are streaming as a hobby or otherwise would prefer to pay so that their viewers can get a better experience, and for some of them the amount may be larger than the amount of revenue that the ads themselves would have brought in.

  18. When a user gets a mid-role add save the stream in a buffer and when the ad is finished continue where u where watching.
Also add a button to jump to current since twitch does not have a timestamp slider or speed up the stream.
This fixes the problem of users missing out content and gives them the option to which part of the stream they miss or view sped up.
Twitch happy because everyone watches adds. Users happy they don't miss content.

  19. If you could get an extension for games with lobbies that would roll a 10-15 second ad in between the games (lobby) rather than playing the regular one over the stream. Obviously, the Affiliate or Partner would have to download the ones for the games they play, if they play without the extension, or don't have it when they play the regular ad rules would apply.
