I'm seeing ads on streams that I am subscribed to.
I'm running Brave, and can't turn off ad-blocking unless I turn it off in the browser and them manage it with an additional extension. Your help article tells me that I should disable it to stop ads on streams I am subscribed to.
This is a sub-optimal solution, at best, for a browser that is a fork of Chrome. Consider supporting Brave such that users don't have to see ads for streams they are already subscribed to, without having to wrestle with their browser.
Hey there,
When it comes to something like this please make sure that your browser and extensions are up to date.
If they are up to date and you are still having issues please reach out to our team at help.twitch.tv so they can further assist you with troubleshooting.

This is happening to me on multiple streams to which I am subscribed. I hadn't seen ads once due to my subscription but now I get them all.
It's unfortunate because I subscribe both to support the streamer and eliminate ads. I don't feel like I'm getting what I paid for (no ads) and Twitch is relying on me continuing to care for the content creator so they can keep taking my money. Really scummy stuff, @Twitch.

This last week every time a channel I'm subbed to runs an ad break I've been forced to watch ads. Why even pay at this point if this is how the service now works?

Constant ads on streams I'm subbed to. What is the point of subbing if you still get ads?

I have this too... I became affiliate last week and this is bothering me on so many levels... I just want my new subs to have the viewer experience they deserve.

I just became affiliate last week and gained my first few subscribers but they are still seeing ads on my stream. I hope they fix this soon, because as a new streamer/affiliate, if my subs are gonna see ads, it will most likely push them away to bigger streamers and cause me to lose some viewers. I'm sure that some subs, experiencing this problem would rather watch ads on bigger, more exciting streams rather than mine. Of course some viewers would rather support me, but at the end of the day subs should not have to watch ads, especially if they're paying for that ad-less viewer experience.

the same happened to me multiple times on three different channels, all having ads for subscribers disabled, notably @Dinklebean, @DigbyThathamWarter and @SovietWomble. I access the channel and get a preroll Ad. i use Firefox, so it shouldnt be a browser problem. I really dont like ads, wich is a reason why i subscribe to several channels. so i find it even more annoying and tbh a bit encroaching to have them anyway. fix this, Twitch.
Edit (2022-08-24): The Problem has escalated into several ads within an hour and even 2 ads together now.
@Twitch, you are either too incompetent to solve this problem or you are lying to your customers. i dont know what would be worse.

I'm having the same issue with seeing ads during Hitbotc's stream, to who I'm subbed too, that does not show ads to subs (confirmed). Also I do not see any other place to place this issue...

I've been getting the same issue on specific streams. I've checked with them and they've shown me their settings personally, they do NOT have it enabled to show ads to subscribers. They have the same settings as me, but their subscribers are still seeing ads.

Same issue here, recently I get ads for channels that I'm subscribed to. Even checked with the streamer and they said they're not manually playing ads. Usually happens 10-15 minutes into the stream and refreshing the page solves it, but that can't seriously be the solution? I'm not going to continue any subs until this is fixed.

Agreed, it was made clear when I signed up to pay for a sub, that I would NOT see ads...this is BS. How can you improve the ad experience? How about NOT show me ads, exactly what I was promise would happen, if I paid for a sub.

It only happens to me with a small streamer (Kayosama25). I've been subbed for 15 months and I am getting ads now and then. I am subbed to many other channels, like Ibai and not a single ad appears. I thought it was my browser, Brave, but I am also receiving in my mobile phone.

I'm having same issue recently on chrome browser.
so frustrating, there is no benefit being subbed or not to get rid of ads -_- -

I'm also seeing this happen, but it's seems to be specifically with FireFox for some reason. Made a support ticket, but keep getting auto generated responses that have nothing to do with the issue at hand!

I am subbed to several channels, yet Twitch feels they need to show ads when I join a stream. Why am I paying for a sub?

Just stop playing ads on channels I am subbed to. I get pre-roll and constant ads on VODs. It is really obnoxious to get ads when I am subbed.

Is anyone else having there subs get ads when ad-free viewing for subs is on? I have had quite a few subs tell me if they refresh the page they will get an ad even though they are subbed and ad-free view for subs is enabled on the creator dashboard!

What is happening, Twitch? -

I'm having the same issue on Desktop using the Brave Browser. I've tried going through and disabling all ad block extensions and related items but still get ads on subbed channels pre roll and mid roll.
