I am getting advertisements in channels I'm subscribed to, even in channels where I have a tier 3 subscription. I PAY TO NOT HAVE ADS. Either refund me for every subscription I have because you're FALSE ADVERTISING or STOP IT IMMEDIATELY!
I am also now getting ads for channels I am subbed to, this is unacceptable and I will be turning off ads for my viewers when I stream because I would rather not hurt my viewers by forcing things down their throats.
Same problem. I pay to not see ads yet still I am forced to endure ads before the stream connects. WTF am I paying for???
I'm having the same problem. It's my friend's stream, and he doesn't put ads on intentionally. I'm the only subscriber who is getting ads. I'm subscribed and also a mod and editor on his channel, but I still get ads, even when I'm watching the stream on the stream manager dashboard! I'm getting a large number of ads, like 6 ads in 15 minutes -- on the stream manager page! I don't know how to fix it.
wtf is that dude this is literal scam!
2022, still getting ads on subs channel
im also getting ads on channels im subbed to. after being subjected to the 8th ad today alone, im not going to subscribe to another channel again. it sucks for the content creators, but im paying for the choice to avoid these ads so i dont miss out on exciting moments. THANKS TWITCH
I'm getting ads on channels I'm subscribed to (Tier 2). This is unacceptable.
I get ads even tho i am subscribed(xqc channel)
This only happens to me in one channel and it's been going on for 3 or 4 years now. He is the only channel this happens. I sub to 7 or so other channels and this has never happened in those channels. It happens when im on pc and mobile...
I've been having this happen for a little bit now. Apparently adblockers reject the cookies that say you're a sub, so twitch just sees that you're a non-sub. Thus you get the ads. I disabled my adblocked on twitch and I'm not getting ads.
SO WEIRD, but at least there's a workaround
i just googled this bc i got an ad even though im a 4 month tier 1 prime sub and i was so confused. i hope this does not persist.
I came on here to contribute to this, because I'm also getting ads on channels I'm subscribed to, including where I have a Tier 3 subscription. The benefits listed for these channels all say "No ads" so I shouldn't be seeing ads. Please, Twitch, fix your platform, because we're paying good money not to have so many ads, and we're not getting it. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something we're promised is included as a benefit of subscribing, and if that can't be delivered on, then we should be refunded the subscription fees paid.
FIX YOUR FVCKING PLATFORM TWITCH HOLY SH!T
I am seeing ads too!!! WHYYYY?!?!??! FIX THIS SH!T!!!
yo twitch staff. fix this ****
Same here _ i have turbo and i'm subscribed to streams and I just started getting ads - I thought it was a bug - this has been going on for a week or so now. Get it fixed or i'll just leave completely!!!!!!!!
Yea, i'm getting ads as well to channels im subbed to twitch. its been like this for months and im tired of see ads. stop with the lies and fix it please.
Same here. I'm an 18-month sub to someone and I've never gotten an ad prior to earlier this month. I thought it was a glitch and let it go. I usually watch mobile but every single time I open up a stream on my desktop I'm hit with dozens of ads. Ad-blocker, VPN, nothing is working to stop it.
Again, this only happens on my Desktop which is so annoying since desktop is usually better to watch on.
I've gotten ads every 2 hours (sometimes even 10min after another) for days now on channels I'm subbed to. Refreshing only starts the ads again.
The only fix I've found is turning off my VPN.
edit: nvm, turning off the VPN was a plasibo. Getting ads on firefox and chrome.
Looks like a <twitch bad coding> kinda thing :/ big oof
I'm also getting ads in channels I'm subscribed to. Channels I know don't have ads for subscribers. If I could receive a refund or something, that would be great. This is ridiculous.
