Block certain types of ads
I am a former Alcohol abuser and I really don't appreciate the recent trend of literally every collection of ad's for some of my streams contain ads for alcohol. It seems 1, like a waste of ad space for me, and 2. an annoyance and reminder of a temptation i don't want or need.
It would just be nice to be able to just block ads for drugs/alcohol.

Hello,
I'm sure this applies to many people as they have children.
I was trying to watch Summit1g, but the pre-roll ads is something I'm worried.
I have trauma when it comes to Scary movies, so when the Exorcist ad popped, I couldn't watch my favorite stream. Is there a way to block certain ads? I'm sure no parents would like to have their kids watch their streamers and have a Rated R movie ad roll up, especially horror movie genre, forget about ad revenue, it'll just create more nightmare issues. Can there be a setting to adjust ratings like No R ratings, no PG-13 ratings, or something... There has to be a setting for this.I don't watch scary movies due to heart issue. So I just wanted to know if there is something we can do to prevent certain specific ads from playing.

I had a stream open on the side and was playing a game when suddenly i heard some eerie sounds, i looked over to a jumpscare ad. How is this allowed

i would like a option for gambling ads to be blocked and/or replaced with other ads so people with addiction aren't subject to the ads, also the idea that minors are able to see the ads at all is appalling especially when the ads can lead to bad habits early on in life.

I agree with this idea. For alcoholics this can be a huge trigger.

Would love to be able to block specific ads. I have trauma associated with an old job that has started advertising on twitch and it's very triggering.

I had the option on both Google/YouTube and Facebook/Instagram to reduce alcohol ads. The fact that I can't do the same on Twitch is actually limiting my use of it. I would probably use it more if I wasn't bombarded with alcohol ads that I have no interest in and is hazardous to my mental & physical health and wellbeing.

If I'm distraught enough by an ad to make the effort to mark it as offensive, I never want to see nor hear it ever again ONCE, instead of being repeatedly submitted to it for days on end. Simple as that.

It isn't going to matter how many ads for beer I see, I can't touch the stuff without it causing stomach upset. As for recreational alcohol, I'm just not interested. I find those kinds of ads annoying. some of the violent/horrific video game ads I've seen will cause me to shut off the platform and go elsewhere. I've people on Picarto I can watch.

Same here with the 0% beer ads.. makes me want to go right back to heavy drinking, of course with not 0% liquids. I can't believe the amount of pressing of alcoholic or 0% beer ads at this point.

I keep seeing the same ad for 0% alcohol beer but it actually makes me want to drink more alcohol. Have you thought about how awful it is to constantly show that ad to recovering alcoholics? It doesn't make me want to drink 0% beer, only to go back to drinking alcoholic drinks. It's getting extremely annoying to keep having this same ad over and over, for every single stream I enter, despite being subscribed.

There are a Lot of offensive ads lately on twitch. I don't mind ads in general as I realize it supports streamers, but please add an option to block specific ad types ex. adult products appearing during family-friendly streams, or horror/jumpscare ads appearing during ASMR streams. It is entirely inappropriate to show this unwanted content and should be blockable.

I'm a recovering alcoholic, every second ad on twitch is for alcohol. This is so messed up, very irresponsible and immoral advertising standards. Allow users to opt out of gambling and alcohol ads, addictive substances should not be allowed, it's immoral to push it on people, but at least allow addicts to opt out at a minimum.

Please let us block ads we don't want to see. There is some stuff that makes me feel physically ill.
If we don't want to see ads for alcohol, we shouldn't have to. If we don't want scary or gory games we should be able to block them. If we don't want to see psychological manipulation from a certain institution, let us block it. If we are a recovering eating disorder patient, we shouldn't have to watch exercise ads that make us feel bad.
Let us choose, please. -

As a viewer there are ads I would like to block. As the settings are as I understand ads are based on channel not viewer.
Some viewers made need or want to stop ads of certain content. Allow them to turn off ads of certain content. -

Please for the love of god allow us to remove specific ads from our viewing. I see multiple ads per day about cancer in family members and as someone who has a mother with terminal cancer, they do not make me feel any better at all. In fact, I feel sick to the stomach everytime I see it, but Twitch forces me to watch these ads multiple times per day. Please allow us to block ads or at least remove ads with sensitive content before they cause serious harm.

Specifically the Bissel ad with the loud firework noise. It sets my dogs off every time and I've recently just started watching Youtube instead just to avoid that commerical.

Ads are part of the platform but there are certain ads that are played way too often and get really annoying, especially the Bud Light Hard Selzer ad. It plays all the time and the OHweee in it is like scratching over a chalk board to me.
This ad made sure I'll never ever going to buy this drink.
Please give an option to exclude certain ads, maybe after you watched it 5 times or so.
