Allow broadcasters to choose when and what ads are played.
Give broadcasters the choice of what type of ads to play (political, beauty, sports, etc.) And make it so broadcaster-run ads disable random ads for longer periods of time.
That way the streamer is in control of their cast

The volume of horror ads lately has been really bad considering there are a lot of cosy streamers and people specifically go to their streams to avoid scary things

allow ads to be related to the streamers stuff that they are streaming about
like for example
Lets say you you stream farming games and then a farmer advert should play
and not a unrelated or not retentive advert should play -

Being able to select what type of advert we streamers have on our channel would be game changing. Especially for those who are family friendly.

This is 100% necessary. Inappropriate ads should not be allowed!

This would be a great addition

This is a fantastic idea. For those of us who are trying to foster a completely safe, family friendly environment, certain advertisements that we don't have control over playing can very much intrude on that goal.

I agree with this 100%, I'm also a Family Friendly streamer, having the content of the adds relate to what our tags are will make the ethos of our streams a lot more acceptable.

I find some of the ads inappropriate for me while I’m watching this streamer

Adverts shown on terrestrial TV need to be categorised so that inappropriate content isn't shown - I'd like to see category selections enabled for the streamer and advertising companies forced to tag their adverts appropriately.
I'm a family Friendly streamer, and have been receiving increased complaints about horror related ads in my channel. With the increase of ads forced on us, this means the same horror content is played without my control nor permission throughout the stream but runs against the ethos and content preferred for the channel.
There are obvious side benefits to this idea such as having ads that are connected to tags on the stream for targeted content or proportional ratings so that more of some content is advertised and less of others at the streamers control.

I would like to have the tools available to prevent certain advertisers /categories of ads who I ethically oppose from being able to advertise on my twitch channel.

Try again. This is about marketing and advertising. You can already select this option in Google settings.

It's ignorant comments like these why people have no compassion for suffering. Truculent, selfish, and have zero to add to any situation. Sit down.

Its not a human rights violation. Ads are based on the persons browsing history, nothing more.
You dont work with google, lets be real here. You probably report a few ads every now and then.Ok dont use twitch? Cool, you not streaming to your 36 followers is going to have a huge impact......
God, get over yourselves. Twitch doesn't have "family friendly" as an option, if you want to stream as a truly family friendly channel, find another platform.
You're expecting a platform to change to some bs you decided to base your channel around. -

Money is more important to Twitch than the health and well-being of it's customers. For over three years now, I have been working with Google to reduce and limit the amount of gambling and alcohol content aka "addiction ads." In five years, people will be talking about what companies had their customers best interest and Twitch WILL NOT be one of them. Google already does this. Stop being greedy and allow families and people suffering from addiction to stop being forced to watch unhealthy advertising. You really need to look at this as a human rights violation. It's disgusting how greed is more important than health. I'm stopping from using the Twitch platform and will boycott Twitch.

Having the option to opt-out of ads for alcohol/sexual content or products/overly violent games would be appreciated, especially for family-friendly channels
