Still very much happening... 30+ sec ad every 10 minutes on a recorded video gets absolutely unwatchable

yeah same ****. The same fckn FIFA2020 ad every 5 mins on recordings. I just stopped watching. Cant fkcn stand another ad like that

This has gotten absurd. There are lots of times I'd like to watch recorded videos from my favorite streamers, but I just can't stand the ridiculous number of ads.

Can you really not find a revenue model that doesn't drive us nuts?

I have noticed if the VOD is played with audio only, there are no ads.

Trying to watch any vods are basically impossible because ads pop up every 10 minutes so I just don't watch them it's too annoying. reduce them to around 1 every 30 minutes or something that is reasonable, please fix this

What the fucking hell is this? The same add pops up every fucking 5 min on a fucking 20 hour long video. Plus it starts with a screaming sound and for some fucking reason it's twice as loud as the stream im watching. It literally gives me a heart attack

This is absolutely insane. Ads every 15 minutes on VODs. This has to be a bug. Totally unwatchable. I kept Adblock off to support the streamers and this forces me to turn it back on. Especially since these ads don’t even support streamers! It’s all Twitch support ads.

You’re going to run your platform straight into the ground doing this. There’s tons of competition these days. Step up your game.

Agree 100% Missed the climax of a clip on " always on " because of advert. Using it less now. The frequency of ads is the problem. I had 3 ads around a 5 minute clip recently ??? thought it was a mistake by twitch ! put me off going prime !

Intrusive ads will be the death of Twitch if they don't throttle this back. There is plenty of other entertainment and avenues consumers have.

1) Ads are not even relevant or "good" ads. They play me a Reese's peanut butter cup commercial nonstop even though I'm Vegan and never eat candy. Ok...wasted ad dollars there and waste of my time.
2) Why do ads have to be so intrusive? Display an ad banner or ad a skip button to video ads.
3) I think viewers will start to look for alternative forms of entertainment, I know I have already started to look for alternative ad light experiences. Even Youtube has their ads well done. We can thank Amazon's buyout of Twitch that turned it into a toxic downhill slope of a platform.

Why do you guys at Twitch think it's ok to put ads every 5 to 10 minutes when watching a previously recorded stream. I just want to watch content I have missed but I Can't. Please put an end to that. The ads are intrusive enough when you see one in the middle of a live stream when first going there. But repeat ads at live and non-live streams (especially tons and tons of ads every 10 minutes or less during recorded streams that aren't even live is unacceptable.
