Fix the Ads for Bits
I love the idea for supporting streamers with bits but frankly I don't have the money to spend on bits, so that's why I rely on the free bits from ads, but one time after watching an ad it says "Try again later" under the Watch Ad button. At first I thought "Ok. I'll just watch more tomorrow" but it still said "Try again later" and it has been like that for months so I gave up checking at this point. If you could fix this or at least ease on the time you need to wait between ads. Maybe like one or two ads a week and these ads can stack, (for example if I don't watch my two ads for one week I can watch 4 ads next week and if I don't watch those 4 ads, next week I can watch 6 ads, and so on.)
Of course the "two ads per week" is just yet another suggestion, you can tailor it to however you feel fit. I just at least want a way of knowing "Hey! I watched all my ads. I can wait until _______ to watch another one." instead of relying on what feels like random luck to watch another ad.
Hey everyone -
Today we’ve made the decision that we will no longer be offering Ads for Bits. Instead, we will be turning our attention to our newest ad formats like Multiplayer Ads, which allow you to vote in polls and reward Bits to your favorite creators.
The goal for Ads for Bits was to help make cheering available for everyone and we will continue to push forward with that goal, just in different ways.
We appreciate your feedback and interest in Ads for Bits since its initial launch, and hope you will continue to offer suggestions around future ads products.

Bring ads for bits back please.

That's a pretty **** poor decision considering nothing else has yet become available to allow cheering for everyone. Another job well done Twitch.

I understand this decision probably came from a lot of considerations, but as a streamer and viewer I am very disheartened by this decision. I don't like to ask viewers to give me money and the bits for ads was a great way for those who have very limited budgets to still give in a way that didn't affect them financially.
Bit raffles, and other things really should be considered for all who want to watch ads, or give without having to put themselves in a bind fiscally. I hope you will reconsider the decision, or have another viable solution soon. Thanks a bunch!

Please bring back watching ads for bits. As someone who cannot afford to buy bits, but has the time to watch the occasional ad this system would be so good. It would mean I could support and reward the streamers I enjoy.
I have just found out streamers don't get revenue on ads from vods, so my viewership really doesn't do much to financially support all their work. I would put in the time to watch ads if I knew I could help them out/pay them for the entertainment they provide. Twitch would still be getting money from the ad revenue. I realise that access to unlimited ads for bits could lead to bit farming exploits, but even if there was a limited amount of ads I could watch in a week I think it would enrich my twitch experience as well as the streamers (especially the smaller ones). Another option would be that after a certain amount of time viewing twitch you could access an ad under the bits tab, like 5 hours = 1 ad for bits, which would reward committed viewers.Cutting this feature alienates a portion of your audience as well as your workforce, and feels like a move on corporate greed away from community spirit. This feels like twitch is moving further from supporting its creators (again esp. small ones) and rewarding its viewers, and more towards profit margins for an already wealthy company (I'm looking at you amazon).
Please at least consider this again, I watch a lot of twitch and enjoy many aspects of the platform and just want to see it continue to improve.

This was a TERRIBLE decision. But I don't expect much out of Twitch anymore. Hate that I had to find this out through a google search as to why I could no longer watch ads to get bits for my favorite streamer. Thanks (but not really.)

Who exactly is we've, because WE (aka the twitch community, the ones that keep your site alive) never agreed to any of this, so, WE unfortunately have decided to deny your REQUEST to remove ads for bits. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may bring you, but yeah, thanks, no thanks. <3

Thank you so much. I loved this feature and seeing it removed heavily restricts the ways I can help my favorite streamers. The replacement ad format didn't have to replace it and could've just have been added alongside with it. Now smaller streamers will get left in the dust. Thank you for removing one of the best features on this website.

Honestly, I haven't been able to buy bits since I literally can't, and I'd really really love to support the streamers that I love and had made almost like an online fam with all the other viewers. I want to be able to support them, even though I can't, so watching ads for bits was amazing for me, but now I can't, and I really miss being able to support them. Please bring it back, if not at least something like it please, thank you!

Instead, you should do both. You just ruined a perfectly accessible feature. Your changes reflect the opposite of what they're supposedly meant to do. Please change it back or have there be both options.

Not to mention is that for many of us, we get so few bits and subs (or near nothing) in a month, that our channels are almost entirely ad supported.

This flat out sucks. Boo you, yall make SO much money off of us and this was a lil way to give back. I guess ***** us huh? Thanks twitch..
"The goal for Ads for Bits was to help make cheering available for everyone and we will continue to push forward with that goal, just in different ways."
and just how is that exactly? Its not like you had any other ways to earn these without throwing our money at you.. again.. Are you all trying to run us off the platform? Yall doing more and more to make twitch as unappealing as possible.
"Multiplayer Ads are a new type of interactive video ad currently in closed beta. When you run a Multiplayer Ad on your channel, many of your viewers will watch the same ad, at the same time. As part of that shared experience, afterwards, these viewers will be able to vote in a real-time, interactive poll."
You removed ads for bits for longer forced ads we all get to watch together.. No one gets any bits for it so i fail to see how this is a replacement to ads for bits. Looks A LOT more like a new way for yall to line your pockets even more. You do realize only big streamers run ads in that way. No small streamer dares do this in fear of running what viewers they have off.

Extremely disappointed in this decision. Not sure why you couldn't not only give people a heads up that it's going away, but you could have at least allowed it to be available while it's still in beta.

Really stupid decision by Twitch to remove bits from watching ads.

Translation: "Instead of making ads worthwhile to watch, we're forcing you to watch ads to give the -streamer- bits to use in other channels instead of you. Give us more money."

The process of buying bits is too costly for people with limited income. Twitch has a culture that encourages its broadcasters to guilt their viewers into tipping or paying the broadcasters they watch. The subscription model doesn't add value to the viewers and over half of the subscription purchase goes toward Twitch anyways. This tipping system works well when there is an option to receive free or subsidized tipping currency, as we did with Ads for Bits. When this service is removed fully, like it is now, this prevents viewers from tipping how they see fit. This decision ostracizes people with limit income, fixed income, and/or cannot afford disposable income.
