Don't force user reload to control volume Hey, let's not randomly add an invisble <div> banner over the controls on the twitch.tv when watching a streamer forcing a reload (more ads). If a few minutes pass and we try to change the volume, an invisible banner shows up not allowing to control the volume. Most people would reload the browser which then shows another ad. Now I know Amazon is a small indie company and needs revenue, but be better.

Asmr En la categoría de ASMR se podria poner que automáticamente el sistema realice una busqueda de los streams que tienen puesto ASMR en descripción de su stream para bajar el volumen de los anuncios

Give streamers the ability to edit/control aspects of Stream Display Ads When comes to this idea, I do love Stream Display ads BUT there are some things I feel are really needed to improve this.
I know it's in testing but I feel we should have some more control over them compared to current testing.Some small things that could work by giving streamers more control, and a basic idea of what I mean that could really improve Stream Display Ads;
1) Make an option so that the only ads that show up on your stream are Stream Display Ads. (people can pick between the two systems?) Ads that don't disrupt…

Optional ads as subs As a sub, I like to support my streamer, or atleast have the option to, so I would like it to be optional, on the user side, to toggle whether I want to see ads or not.

Stream Display Ads vs. Mid-Rolls Allow creators to choose between mid-roll ads and stream display ads, where either option disables pre-rolls.
Some users (myself included) would much prefer to use exclusively stream display ads, and would even be willing to run them for longer than they would mid-rolls, while other users find them more disruptive. That's fine, to each their own, but please allow us the option. It would do wonders for so many streams to be able to totally disable pre-rolls without having viewers miss out on 3 minutes/hour of content, and I'm confident it would result in more total advertising time as streamers…

Replace fullscreen prerolls with new Stream Display Ads Full-screen pre-rolls are a huge obstacle with user experience and streamer discoverability. Users do not want to browse new, unknown streamers because watching a fullscreen 30s ad before getting to check out a streamer is annoying. It's a huge deterrent so users tend to rely on their go-to streamer. Replacing the forced fullscreen preroll with a Stream Display Ad instead will encourage users to once again check out new streamers.
This change would be a massive improvement for both viewers and streamers.

Ads should display link pointer When hovering over an ad on a stream, clicking the ad will take you to the advertiser's website. However, the mouse pointer displays as normal, and does not show the "link" pointer (a hand with a finger extended) as it ought to. This behavior would comply with W3C guidelines.

Placement of Vertical Ad Bar Is there a way for users to specify the placement of the new vertical ad format somewhere else besides between the chat and the broadcast window? Is there a way for streamers to move it to the left of the page (like under the follower bar)? Or is it locked to the right-hand side of the frame? With the entire page in dark mode the brighter adverts are little distracting and makes it difficult to read chat when streaming on smaller laptop screens or mobile.

Give us more control what kind of ads are shown If you are going to force us to keep seeing ads, at least give us, as viewers, more control what kinds of ads we see. Like, on Youtube you can choose to give them info like location, age, gender, interests, etc. so you won't be shown ads that are obviously directed at a group of people you're not a part of.

Just make the ad take up the top left quarter of the stream screen but play it muted Just make the ad take up the top left quarter of the stream screen but play it muted, all should matter is that we can see it, if we wanna hear it we can click it.
All forcing us to watch and listen to an ad does is make us not care about what you're advertising, period. It's like protesters blocking a road, you really think im gonna care when you're doing something like this? I will not.
Just make it so we get mostly the stream still with a small portion of the screen goign to the ad and…

Don't show online casino ads Since we in Sweden are not allowed to join in and participate in channel-point betting on any stream here on Twitch, how about Twitch refrain from showing us advertisements from ACTUAL online casinos?
I wish my brain could find the words my heart want to tell you. Alas, I can find none that fully measure up to the absurdity at hand.
Thank you kindly for your consideration.

Stream Display Ads could honestly be bigger The most disruptive thing about adverts is loss of the audio. The video feed shrinking is much less of an issue. Consider e.g. a Stream Display Ad that shrinks the video to 25% or even less of the screen. Advertisers would know where the stream was going to be on the screen (or even get to choose) and could incorporate that into the advert (fancy border / give the streamer a thought bubble or similar)
Additionally these could be (silent) video rather than just static pictures

A detailed and comprehensive list of ways to improve user ad experience. Hello.
For years now I've noticed many complaining about the user experience on Twitch concerning advertisements. I myself have also felt burdened by the frequent and interrupting ads on Twitch, which have pushed me away from the platform, so I painstakingly compiled a list of data and ideas to help improve the twitch experience.
I offer this data and feedback free of charge in hopes that Twitch will do the right thing and help rectify the seemingly declining viewership on the platform.

Please use banner ads instead of random midrolls Nobody wants to watch random ads that block out the stream. Picture-in-picture doesn't work if we only see but not hear the stream during ads. Banners would solve the problem - you get to give us more ads but the stream doesn't get interrupted. I repeat: nobody needs random ads that block the stream. it's not only disruptive for the viewers, but also for the streamer. bad idea, really.

These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

Disable preroll ads for users with Stream Display Ads enabled With the testing of Stream Display Ads, many creators are excited to begin using them as an alternative to disruptive full video advertisements. However, because preroll ads are still displaying, the main problem being voiced in my community still isn't being addressed: the disruptive nature of preroll ads.
To quote my friend Kit, a fellow streamer:
"Those [preroll ads] are so frustrating, especially hopping into a stream from a raid. Missing all the hi's and thank you's and welcomes because I gotta see a 90sec ad about totino's"Stream Display Ads are a great alternative to full video ads, but…

SDAs (Stream Display Ads) only Allow streamers to opt for SDAs only, even if it makes up less profit.
For people who might not know, SDAs are banner ads.
Full screen intrusive ads have never and will never work, we've known this decades!
* What do people watching TV do when the adbreak starts? They change the channel.
* What do people watching Twitch do when the adbreak starts? The exact same thing!

PLEASE STOP the full on-screen ads during a stream. The interrupting full-screen ads HAVE to stop. When playing JackBox Games for example, your screen is literally gone and it ruins the game. The screen doesn't always minimize and go to the top right, so you literally have no stream to see. Thirty seconds is a lot during JackBox to not see the main screen (and this is just the JackBox Games example of the experience being ruined - there is no point in going to new streamers because ads play on my favorite ones already). This is completely ruining the experience on Twitch. I understand ads need to play,…
