Email My Subs Disabled
We are aware that the “Email My Subs” feature allows creators to send content that violates our TOS. To provide the community the tools to help keep them safe, we are temporarily disabling the service while we upgrade it with the safety and moderation features we expect in all creator and viewer touchpoints.
We would like to take this opportunity to hear your ideas around making this feature either safer or more effective! Leave your comments below.

Thank you for removing one of the most useful engagement-tools and treating your customers and creators like children, that need to be restricted. Banning words and disabling functions will NOT solve the problem you have with parts of your audience - you only **** off the rest. Seriously disappointed in your lack of vision lately.

I had originally posted this prior to subscriptions being disabled
Drafts and scheduled sub emails"
Sub emails are a great way to reach out to those who continue to support you but may not be able to make it to every stream or watch every VOD.
Sub emails are a very under utilised tool and I believe with a few added features it could really excel a content creators channel.
The two features I would like to see incorporated are scheduling emails (not repeatable) and drafts. For example, I'd like to send a customised monthly email on the 1st of everyone month around the same time. Having drafts would also be a good way to add ideas on the go.
The purpose isn't to spam subs (and if you didn't you'd probably lose subs) but to engage.
p.s. it'd be really nice to have the extendy thing in the corner of this box so I can see everything I've typed at one :)

Maybe have some templates that a creator can choose from and send to their subs/resubs. Maybe Twitch can auto-generate the name of the creator so that creators don't need to fill in anything.
If you can have some different ones that can suit a few different occasions. Like, welcome to the channel if it's for new subs. Or Thank you for subbing to include returning ones too.
And then some holiday themed email templates or so. Go NUTS! :) -

Please add this back. I was gonna start using this to notify my subs about certain things I'm working on and any changes to my stream and upcoming events. I really have no other way to do this since twitter is something neither me or my community would want to use.

I've lost a good half of my subs since this feature was disabled, It was my best marketing tool for announcing giveaways, new sub perks / emotes and keeping them up to date on whats going on in my streams. I really miss this feature, are there any updates on it coming back? surely the new verfied email system prevents this from being problematic?

Still waiting to hear any updates about this situation. As a smaller channel, this ability to be able to e-mail my subscribers and let them know about the exclusive videos I'm going offer for their generous support was a huge part of my marketing strategy.
Most of my Twitch subscribers do not follow me on other platforms, so this ability to e-mail them is the best way for me to keep them up to date on my plans. I think all of us here in this thread would like to know what is being done to bring this feature back.
There's been plenty of suggestions on how to make the feature safer, and many of us here are understandably frustrated at Twitch's lack of any kind of response on this issue.

I can't believe I thought I was going to send an email to my subscribers. Just found out the feature has been gone for months. Totally missed Dubtember and my Birthday Giveaway. Thanks :)...

It WAS effective, no need to change anything...did you actually do something in the last 6 months?

this is a great feature and I think the subs like to be kept up on what's going on on the channel.

Could use this right now many people appreciate when I email them and it helps me plan events as I have a chaotic schedule.

Please reactivate this feature. It is essential to promote special events like a Birthday, 24 Hours Stream and so far...

This feature needs to be added back. Maybe add an opt-out feature for the subs to not get an email. You can add a limited function text box, so only text can be send and not images and files. This feature needs to be added as soon as possible, as it really helped small streamers. Please do so. Thank you.

A default setting for users not to receive emails, with an option to receive is a good idea, as stated below. I do miss the ability to email those that financially support streamers. I understand that Twitch has been swamped with important matters to attend to but, I'm sure that a simple update pertaining to what this feature's improvements might be, or where in development it currently is, would be appreciated. Transparency goes a long way, especially, despite past experiences, when done well.

Is this feature ever going to come back? What's the deal here? Any update?

Any update on this? I thought it was supposed to be for a month? It’s hurting all streamers but especially small ones.

Is there any update on this feature? It's been more than a few months and I hardly got to use it before it was canned. Most of my subscribers/followers don't want to switch platforms to stay up to date with what I'm doing and I'd like to be able to reach out to them through e-mail.
As for making it safer, just include the option for subscribers to opt out of being e-mailed by the channels they follow. And to limit images/links from being included in the e-mail form. Maybe take the feature away from channels that have strikes on them, for 60 days or so.
This feature is so important for small channels to reach out to subscribers and help them build up their support base.

Twitch used to have the feature of of Affiliate users being able to contact subscribers via e-mail. It was in the Dashboard Analytics section where you could download your subscriber list.
Is that feature ever going to come back? I asked about this about 4 months ago from this date (September 10th, 2021) and I was told it was being worked on to make it "a safer and better place for our creators and audience members".

Bring this feature back.. you have had plenty of time to fix it.. Maybe fix the rando bots that like to randomly follow people but never actually view the stream?

PLEASE bring this feature back. As a small content creator it really helps showing appreciation to your viewer, and especially as someone with a sub only discord it's much easier to get the discord link out to people besides from individually messaging everyone.
Like what MachineDaena said below about feedback with every message sent, it could help point out those who violate TOS on twitch.
Or even have someone on twitch's team reviewing messages being sent and having it where there's a process it goes through for 24 hours where it's reviewed by a team member first, then approved and then sent to everyone on the sub list!
We need this feature back and could help loads of people being able to send messages easier to their viewers.

I guess us new creators will have to find another way to keep up with our crowd.
