Option to block gifted subs for followed channels
While I understand it’s a nice thought and supports the streamer, I usually lurk in the channels I follow. I suffer anxiety and I’m painfully introverted and I don’t want to feel obligated or pressured into a subscription or into having to interact with people. I know people want to support their favorite streamers but please have an option for us anxious people to block gifted subs for followed channels (as well as the already existing option for unfollowed channels)

In short:
I have many channels i follow just to have it in follow-list and to have email notifications.
I don't chat much, thus i don't use emotes and etc.We have such option for non-follow channels. Would like to have it for any possible channels.

I received 2 gifted subs in a week and I got harassed in both of them, one by a relatively big streamer and the other one by some chat members. I thought that it would be good to have an option to receive gifted subs anonymously so that users or streamers don't make fun of you/treat you differently than other chat members. Since we don't have a privacy option to stop getting gifted subs, a "Receive gifted subs anonymously" option would allow users to cancel the gifted subscription afterwards without getting exposed.

Re- said again .. Please allow us to turn this feature on and off!
Some of use don't want to receive gifts when we are following a channel, yet we still get them since Twitch can give out gifts to random people through the "Gift to the Community" option. The gift is then just wasted instead of being given to someone who may use it.

Like Nick said - we need to get an option to block or choose if we want to be gifted subs on the channels we follow
Right now we have only option to block everything for channels we don't follow, but it's not the same, I tried using it and unfollowed a lot of channels - basically it just messed up a lot and did not help at all.
We just need those options Twitch. -

please give us the ability to block being gifted subs
there are many reasons someone does not want to be gifted a sub, for instance - I'd like the first time I subscribe to someone to be special to ME, it's my first time subscribing to someone and I don't want one of their obsessive subs to have subbed me before i get to do it myself

Why? People want to spread the love and help support streamers. I totally understand not wanting to be gifted to people you don't follow, but if someone gifts you a sub to someone you enjoy watching, why cancel it just to redo it yourself and waste someone elses money? That's just rude.

Being gifted a subscription (whether randomly or explicitly) makes me feel like I'm being pitied for not having the money and/or motivation, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels that way - if I wanted to bear the Subscriber badge in a channel (and indicate to others that I personally decided to support the streamer) and have access to its various benefits, I would've paid for it myself.

There is already a setting to block gifted subs to channels i don't follow. We need to extend this setting to all channels. Some of us just don't like being gifted with subs for several reasons. I've been told that, if i want to support the streamer myself, i can gift a sub to another one. It's not the same, i don't care about others. I've been told i can upgrade my sub, but that will cost me double the price. I want to subscribe myself, period. I've come to the point where i cancel a gifted sub to a channel, just to sub myself after 1 minute, and that feels outrageous against the gifter, ruining our live experience.

I should state, I refer to the ability to turn it off for your own account, not your stream.

Currently I had to experience being gifted a subscription in a chat I just joined to listen to out of the blue. I immediately followed (because you might as well) but then I unfollowed and then disabled the subscription.
The Twitch Streamer then acted offended that someone would not want a subscription.
It is my belief that you should refuse unwanted gifts because they give the wrong impression. Given the reaction from a simple refusal it is no longer that these subscriptions are gifts but forced advertisements.
I request that you have the option to turn off subscription gifts (aka: Forced subscription).

This is a good idea.

There is already an option for blocking receiving gifts on channels we don't follow but we need an option for blocking receiving gifts entirely.

. i need a way to be able to turn off being able to receive gift subs because i have really high anxiety about it and it makes me feel pressured into continue being a sub to the channel and i feel bad to go back and talk in the chat

I'd like staying being a non-sub & I really don't want to be automatically receiving gifted subs even if it's by streamers I watch frequently.
I know there's an option to disable subscription benefits but it's not enough. I'm sure there are people that would much rather not have their name used to support a streamer they dislike or don't even know on twitch. Troll sub gifting is a thing and I personally don't approve.
My only option would be me getting banned and I clearly don't want to do that but If it keeps up I may seriously have to be in hiding for awhile. I can't take the risk in announcing in a streamer's chat saying I don't want to be gifted and shortly received a gift sub just to troll.
I would really appreciate if this option becomes a thing in the future, that way I don't have to worry about someone sneaking in a gift sub when I don't want it.
