1. Customer service for special cases?

   Not entirely sure what category this falls under, but, I'll describe the issue I am currently facing.

   I can't verify my account:

   My new-ish phone number is tied to an account with a bogus username and email that doesn't belong to me. I'm stuck in a position where I can't disassociate the phone number with the fraudulent account.

   In order to do so, I need access to the account and this is where things get tricky.

   You can log in with your phone number via the app. If you don't know the username, you can have a text sent to you with that info. You can then attempt to reset the password and log in.

   I did all of the above, got the username, reset the password.

   Next issue. The account is linked to my phone number, but, the 2FA is sent to their email rather than, you know, the phone number and Authy that ALL of my other accounts are linked to. They can also see that I reset their password and with a single click undo my change and likely have enough time to change their username.

   Since I don't know this individuals email, I can't do anything. I've submitted a ticket, several, actually. The email starts with a letter nowhere even alphabetically close to any email I have ever created, which is how I know this isn't a matter of user error. The email obfuscation only adding to the problem.

   I've been bounced around in circles all day trying to get this issue resolved. I offered to talk to someone directly via the phone number in question, well within office hours only to be shut down by automatically generated emails with dead-end links, completely irrelevant to my problem.

   As for solutions?

   Aside from having a body with a pulse around to tackle special cases such as this, I'm not sure. A simple call back would have likely resolved this issue in less than 10 minutes. Instead, I've wasted a full day, created a twitter, hoping to get into contact with staff, probably sprouted a grey hair, maybe lost a few of my others.

   Pardon the obtuse tone, but, this is frustrating. I would gladly help twitch resolve these sorts of issues on behalf of those who aren't affiliated or partnered. I've been on this platform for nearly a decade now, Twitch CX used to be great.

2. Age restrictions

   It would be nice for twitch to add age restrictions then it would be more accessible to everybody audiences that are younger can watch more younger streams. around like people who are 5 and up can use it. And allowed to decide what they see.

3. Disallow (or add option to disallow) SMS password reset

   Now that Twitch has enabled streamers to require phone number verification to use their chat, I and many others have had to add a verified mobile number to my account. The problem, however, is I can now reset my password via SMS, which I did not ask for. This is especially problematic because Twitch's 2FA solution can also be bypassed via a phone number that's required to set up 2FA at all, even if the user has a secure authenticator app, meaning an attacker with access to the user's phone number can defeat both factors. Twitch just suffered a data leak, and presumably the names and numbers of high profile streamers are now public record, which makes a SIM swap attack highly effective. This is a major security problem and there needs to be a way to opt out.

4. Better account verification steps when you forget your password

   I forgot the password to my account and didn't receive a single password reset email. I tried to verify my account through customer support but they said they couldn't verify it. Being as I don't have any of the information they request linked to my account other than my email it's a bit redundant. If there was a way of verifying via linked account such as a PlayStation Network account, or via a Discord account, it could make the whole process much easier.

5. IP logging

   Log IPs of all attempted logins to an account. This way we can report suspicious behavior to you and to authorities/banks when it occurs.

   Reason being, I have received multiple 2FA codes on my phone and have no way to report these unauthorized attempts to access my account. I have changed my PW and am still receiving these codes. I have ran two separate virus checkers and come back empty from both.

8. Make a way that we can recover a phone number

   Please make a way to recover a phone number, or a way to disconect every account off a phone number because in Brazil the phone numbers that you get can already have been used by another person before you purchase your chip and for now i have a phone number that i canot use because we don't have a option like this (sorry for my bad english)

9. Fix 2FA bug where Twitch says my number is already used

   I have tried for quite a stretch of time to get my mobile phone number accepted by Twitch, yet still no luck, due to Twitch saying I already used my mobile number to verify an account before. That is a straight-up lie, considering I did not get my phone until 1 years ago at Christmas, and I haven't even attempted verifying with my phone number at all, until recently! I have seen another person with the same issue, January of this year, which I have linked at the bottom of this post. My theory is that someone had my phone number before, and they verified their account with it. Eventually they passed away, and their number was transferred to my phone after a 90-day period. And since they had already used my number to verify, I can't verify, even though they don't own the number anymore! That is just a theory though, and speculation gets people nowhere until action is made. So please, if someone at Twitch is reading this, do not refer me to help.twitch.tv, and actually see if the issue can be fixed directly.

    Allow me to put in a Landline phone number for VPN, and an automated Twitch calls with the 6 digit code. Not everyone has mobile phones.

11. Decline mod or vip from personal settings

12. Say no to 2 factor authentication(sign in with 2 passwords etc.) and don't punish people that don't want it.

    Keep with a normal password requirement but lose the 2 factor junk. If someone enters their password wrong too many times temporarily lock the account and have the user unlock the account through their email while also advising the user of the attempts. This doesn't fix the issue of bad actors who know a users account name (unless user name and id can be seperate?) - giving the user a headache from having to keep unlocking their account through their email, but it doesn't/shouldn't inconvenience the majority of other users.
    I don't want 2 factor junk but am forced to use a form of it without having it enabled. Because twitch doesn't recognize where I am logging in from (and it never should for privacy reasons) - it is likely from having my computer settings to clear cookies and scramble my device id - twitch forces me to log in to my email to get a code from twitch to enter on twitch. Its like entering 3 different passwords and wastes a lot of my time(attempted twitch login, email login, and entering required code)
    My feedback is this: I get angry with being forced to do anything more than puting in my normal login information. Fix please.

13. Ability to disable the display of your badges on your profile

    Now that sub/bit badges etc have been added to display on your profile when someone clicks on your name in chat. It would be nice to have the ability to hide these from public view if you want.

14. hide phone number/added security

    when you look in the privacy settings in your account, you can see the full phone number for your 2FA. Can this be blocked? When changing and entering into privacy, pw and 2fa is enabled again. amazon does this and I feel that they are taking our privacy seriously. 2FA just doesn't do it anymore, esp if you can bypass it the first time

15. twitch support discord

    my idea is that support should either have a discord server so users can get evidence to why accounts are banned or support should actually send in the tickets the evidence. streamers like me getting banned for "violent hate speech" but no evidence to support the cases and ive tried appealing twice but both times rejected with no clear reason

    hi first in my current account i tried to add my phone number but i have already added to my past account and i found that account and enabled the enable additional twitch acoount and back to my current account tried to add it but errored say oops we have an unexpected erroor so i back my past account and deleted the phone number and i back to my current account tried to number same error. 17. Indefitie Suspension I AM NOT A BOT

    I submitted an appeal for my account (crowdog69b69t) because I was wrongfully accused of being a bot and or a automated account. I'm so frustrated because it took one day to be rejected for a warning that I got back in november, but it's been over a week and I still haven't gotten a response from my appeal for my indefinite suspension. I am victim to a false report and I'm not sure how many people are targeting me. I want my account back immediately. I am most definitely a real streamer and i only use one account to stream. My suspension is the result of poor moderation on this platform.

    privacy tiers popup or (PTP) could be a feature for the less experienced that gives the user tiers on what they want collected or used by the data they provided to twitch. this will be a popup (like what the name implies) that appears for a user once or twice before dissapearing unless they sign in again (not to be confused with reopening the browser)

    tier 0: off
    in the name.

    tier 1:
    disables third party tracking cookies but will keep targeted ads.

    tier 2:
    disables third party tracking cookies, opts out of targeted ads and clears the targeted ad data.

    tier 3:
    disables third party tracking cookies, opts out of targeted ads and clears the targeted ad data, clears all previous logins but will provide its own section dedicated to what u want to keep signed in, and turns off email notifications to prevent spam.
