Still waiting on developer/process update. Still waiting on the username recycle. The community is still waiting Twitch...

3 years ago i made an account. I deleted it to release it to me. Every month for 36 months I’ve checked to see if I can use it. NO ONE has used it and I still can’t claim it.
The system doesn’t work.

1/2 years seems reasonable, this has been taking too long especially for people who want to build a community before partner under one name everywhere. Been waiting for a few years now to claim a name but never anything has happened with their recycle policy.

6-12 months would be fair. Over a span of 3-5 emails to give plentiful notice and warning to the user

12 months if the account has not had any login activity past creation date, or 24 months if the account use to be active

Vamos a ver, esto es muy sencillo. Cuenta con un mes de TOTAL INCATIVIDAD, tanto en chats como streams... Un aviso y se cierra.
A día de hoy muchos queremos poner nombres a nuestros canales que no podemos por gente que tiene chopecientas cuentas cogiendo polvo.

I see this request is now mark as "Planned". How do we follow up on this? I really hope they take this request seriously. I would love to know more and fully support this change.

I agree, there’s accounts that are lost and forgotten. If they’re deleted, then people will have a chance to claim the usernames they’re after.

same here. A useraccount has been completely blank and empty, 0 Streams and whatever for more than a decade already. I would finally like to "take over" this..

Soooo... this idea was floated on May 14, 2015. After 8 years has this still not happened?

I am waiting for this too. The username I would like to have has never streamed, 0 followers... It is totaly inactive more then 2 years so please- make it free again!
