Use ID.me for age verification To ensure that new accounts are created by users that are of proper age, and to prevent underage users from accessing streams that are 18+ (Mature), age verification should be done via ID.me. Users can verify their age on that site (ID) ahead of time, and those existing users can link their ID.me accounts to verify that they are of age to view 18+ streams and content.
This would be a good way of making sure that accounts made can have proper access to streams based on age verification and make sure that underage users have access to streams appropriate…

Option to view and manage permissions for connections To help users manage security for their accounts: I propose the Settings > Connections page should list the specific Permissions (or OAuth scopes granted) For each account connection.
And there should be an "Edit" button. Instead of completely revoking a connection: We should have the option to Remove or withold any granted permissions/scopes of a connected app that we want On this menu.
There should also be some options to block/remove some of the requested permissions on the page at the time when initially authorizing a connection.
I propose that the Highest-risk permissions which Apps can request be made so…

Following Groups Having a way of creating folders for groups. for example currently on the left sidebar when it shows channels live the list can span off the menu. Therefore, I am suggesting a way you can create folders such as 'Roleplay Channels' and then you can drag all those streamers into that folder. The side panel would then show a folder which we can colour or when hover displays the name to which can be expanded, to show the streamers within the folder.

Inactive usernames Per the twitch policy, inactive usernames are recycled every 6 months. With that said, I have been vigilant for 3 years, attempting to acquire a username that has been inactive since its existence. This username is not someone that all ppl would want. its actually very similar to my twitch username minus 2 letters.
I would like the team to follow through on the policy and actually release the inactive usernames so that the streamers that actually put in work can utilize them for their own benefit, in turn for the benefit of the company

Give users priority on claiming their previous username Users should be given priority to revert back to their old username once it becomes available rather than having to hope they can get it back. Also, users should NOT have to wait 6 months to try to get their name back. They should be allowed to revert back to their old name after the regular 60 day wait for a name change.
Also, Twitch NEEDS to update the warning when you go to change your username! Saying your username "will be released back into the pool of available usernames after 6 months" is not descriptive enough. I thought that…

Fix The Prime Loot Menu When using Chrome and clicking on the Prime Loot menu, you can use the X to close out each individual item under the "For You, Games, Ending Soon" categories, but you can never clear the list completely. Whatever item is the last item in the list, it stays there and you can't close it...ever. This is really annoying to us OCD-ers. Please allow us to close out all the items and display an all caught up message just like the notifications area.

Account age verification from the start Recently a 19 year old got susspended on Twitch indefinitley for being under age, this is not ok. Twitch should be absolutley sure about ages and not have an auto bot ban users falsly.
This idea is all about having an ID registered into the accounts when creating them, using the candidate number, date of birth, ect. Basically a debit card for paying for bits, but with an ID registering the person behind the account and also verifying their age. If the ID is renewed then Twitch should ask the user to update their details with the new ID.6 votes -

Allow an option to login with SMS or verified email Why do I have to use just SMS code login options when I went through the process of verifying my email. I should be able to chose SMS or email verification and if I'm trying to change my SMS code phone number why does it send a code to the phone number I'm trying to change? why not send a email to my already verified email. When I'm trying to disable 2FA why isn't there a option to disable it via email as well? Also if you no longer have your phone number you had when you made the account…

Use discretionary usernames for new sign ups and for people who don't stream It is next to impossible to change to a new username for two reasons:
- The majority of user accounts are people that view only and don't want to stream. There are 140 million active users and only 7 million streamers!!!
- It takes forever for an inactive or closed account to release the username, much longer than the "advertised" 6 months, and it's been already 8 years since you said you'll do something about it.
A good idea would be to use aliases/discretionary usernames for existing and new users that are not affiliate/partner (active streamers), like discord with the #xxxx. Once…

Connecting to Discord occasionally fails This is a kind of bug report.
When I connect from Discord to Twitch,
Discord didn't appear in Twitch connections page.
https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections
As a result, when I'm streaming in twitch, my Discord status doesn't turn into "Streaming".
Of course I enabled streamer mode. This issue seems to occur for seven years.
https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/4jv325/status_doesnt_turn_purple_when_streaming/
One of my friends also failed, but the others succeeded.I solved this by repeating reconnecting until Discord appeared in Twitch connections page.
The connection processing should be reviewed.
This issue is not from Discord to Twitch, but from Twitch to Discord.3 votes -

if you go you don't come back In my opinion, Twitch is showing weakness by wanting to make changes at the last minute to ❝Fight❞ against the competition.
TWITCH is bigger than that. Twitch has always shown stability and that is very important in this area. Stability that no competition (streaming platforms) manage to have, no matter how many streamers they hire, they return to Twitch (no matter how much they throw hate speech at the purple platform). There I wonder if it is necessary for Twitch to make changes or simply go more aggressive.
My question is, if Twitch is not profitable, why do the streamers…3 votes -
Merging Twitch accounts. Merging Twitch accounts.
Twitch is quite a young platform. But in the future the number of “dead” channels will increase, the so-called “Internet graveyard” will be formed. I propose, add a function “merge accounts”. Here's how it should work:
For example, a user has two Twitch accounts (either his, or he was passed the data from the account, so to speak by inheritance). And the user wants to use the “merge accounts” function. He enters the data of both accounts (confirms). Then the user opens a page with the data of the two accounts (like a comparison table), the page…3 votes
