Show Twitch chat on Chromecast TV It would make the chromecast experience a lot better if I could have the option to show the chat on the side, just like it would on my PC in theater mode.

Add 1440p resolution playback to Apple TV app Please add the ability to watch 1440p streams to Apple TV's app.
The other day a stream was going at 1440p@60, and was able to watch at this resolution on the iPhone app, iPad app and PC browsers. The highest resolution offered from the Apple TV app was 720p.
It's not a device capability issue, as the TV and Apple TV device can play at 4K@60 no issues. YouTube videos and live streams can play at 1440p@60 without issue.

Rollback to V9 on Chromecast Please rollback version 11 to version 9 on Chromecast / appletv.
It's the same for firetv, this version is broken als well since V10, that's why I replaced my firetv with a Chromecast. Now here the same buggy and broken version got released as well. Since you guys don't care at all for your users I think I will just uninstall it or use a third party player.
How can you guys not have ANY QA at all with such a large user base? I don't get it...

Chromecast VODs freeze at 1080p When streaming VODs at 1080p (perhaps more, my TV is 1080p) after about 1-2 minutes, the stream will stop and load indefinitely. This happens on my Chromecast Ultra and Chromecast v2/v1.

Picture in Picture A feature that's available on the Desktop and the iOS apps that isn't on Apple TV. It would be nice to be able to browse streams without having to quit the current stream. There would also need to be a mechanism to dismiss a PIP stream the way there is on the Desktop and iOS apps.

vods Your recent update to the TV apps seems to have removed the 'continue watching' section and also the ability to browse past a few days of past broadcasts from streamers. I would recommend bringing these back as for a lot of us we cannot watch live and so catch up on VODs and also like the ability to go back to video's that we have not completed yet. With the apps the way they are now I do not find them usable.

Add playback speed for VODs on TV apps I love watching VODs at a faster playback speed so I can view more content faster, but this option is only on web rather than on my TV app where I prefer to watch.

Everything about the new GoogleTV app is terrible My app on GoogleTV / Chromecast updated today and it’s absolutely awful. Build ID: sat-fa3f730/my-c/celadon
Everything on the screen is cramped together, the white boxes around the highlighted stream on home page looks awful, I have a 1gb connection and auto resolution will not go with high quality video and has to be manually selected, and the streams are blown out in contrast / washed. Games and streams look awful.

Thank you for the Samsung smart tv app on their hub, but it can only stream 480p without buffering. Please fix whatever is wrong with the Twitch Samsung TV app available on their hub. The Twitch app works fine on our Sony and LG tvs, but on the Samsung (my main tv) it can't stream over 480p without buffering. I've went through every trouble shooting thing under the sun, including with their techs. Reinstall, uninstall, reset, one foot in, one foot out, did the hookie pookie and turned it all about. Nothing helped. I'm also a Twitch streamer and like to watch parts of my streams with my family on that tv. Think of the children...

Fire TV app should be able to join raids, and display current screenshots or video previews from live streams. As of 7/18/2022 the twitch app on FireTV cannot follow raids into other channels. When a stream enters a raid the app gives a Stream Ended notification with options to either go to the previous streamer's profile or return to the home page. If nothing is selected the FireTV goes into sleep mode.
Additionally, the preview image/video displayed for each stream in the home menu is now a static image from when I first logged in with the new version of the app. All the channel previews have been the same images for the last 3 days, which means that…

Don’t show the UI immediately when a channel loads With the latest app update (on or around 3/30/22), when a channel loads on the FireTV app, the UI loads in front of it.
The screen is obscured by a somewhat opaque black layer, which covers or hides the content. The channel name and information about the channel as well as action buttons (settings, show chat window, report) appear as part of this interruption.
BUT YOU CAN’T CLOSE THE UI IMMEDIATELY, to get to the content faster. This is incredibly frustrating.

Allow BetterTTV emotes and animated emotes in LG Twitch App Currently Twitch chat on the LG app allows chat with still images only,
with a limited amount of emotes available total. As a result, a lot of the chat context is lost due to the emote name being listed rather than the animation. This would go a long way in improving the user experience and making the app the premier Twitch viewing experience on the TV. Allowing BetterTTV emotes, which are already able to be integrated on the PC client, would also add to the chat experience.12 votes -
Enable/Add adjusting speed of VOD on Twitch AppleTV app On PC and mobile devices the speed option are already enable. I would suggest to add that same feature to the Twitch AppleTV app.

Chat history on Fire TV Please restore chat history to Firestick. I frequently watch VODs and now I miss a lot of context because chat history has been removed.
