Apple TV app is busted for sure. Gray screens, missing streamers on the home screen when they're live, lack of chat playback.

Why? It was fine, and then there was an update that gave us absolutely no changes, except for breaking a bunch of stuff?

I'm now also getting the Black Screens, AND YOU REMOVED CHAT HISTORY FROM VODs. Why are you so insistent on making this app terrible?!

Update needed quickly

I’ve had all the issues stated below and now, as of yesterday, my twitch app won’t have the bottom name/follow/settings bar disappear so I have to watch streams with that bar that won’t go away! I’ve tried everything to get it to go away and nothing works. Please fix this app, it’s almost unusable now!
The black screen that continues audio and then catches up every couple minutes only to repeat it every 5-10 min again on vods is annoying enough!
Please go back to the old version of the app or fix this stuff.

I absolutely HATE this new version of the app. It worked perfectly before now it’s just rubbish, I’ll be watching streams and the screen just goes black but sound continues to play, 9 times out of 10 it doesn’t come back on and I have to go back and reload the stream again. The fact you can’t chat on the TV anymore is stupid as well. I just hate it so much please change it back!!

I have 2 apple tv‘s and everytime i play vod‘s on twitch i v got an gray screen after about 2 minutes…

New tv app is not only bad from a UI and feature perspective, but also from a performance one. Can’t go back to old vods, no continue watching and only 14 icons on any sliding menu. My time on you tube has massively increased since this update.

Please allow users to downgrade the app or just trash the new one. The old one did not have any streaming / buffering issues - the new one just constantly rebuffers the sound.

It’s missing features from the old Apple TV and multiple times while watching a vod I’ve accidentally unfollowed streamers. I am not one to leave feedback on anything but this version of the app is a downgrade.

The app on apple TV is total trash! I cant even sort, the language txt is removed so I cannot even tell if the stream is in a language I speak. I reallllly hope the person who came up with this garbage was fired. Its a disaster

why did you remove the availability to chat from Apple TV? With iPhone, we didn’t need to use the mobile app to write message. 1) We could write with the keyboard from notification. 2) we can use the remote to dictate the message.

Removing the ability to sort (by most viewed for example) channels while browsing is a bizarre choice. Would love if that feature was added back in.

Makes it incredibly frustrating to browse categories (like Retro). Visually I like the new Apple TV app but feature wise it's a pretty big step bag.

Continue watching is gone. Top shelf support is also gone. Why remove perfectly fine working features?
