Rollback the FireTV App to V9
The loss of functionality of V10 when compared to V9 is baffling. The redesigned UI is nigh incapable of assisting the user with finding non-live content, since the home, bowse, and category pages now only present live channels to the user.
In the prior app version, all followed channels were listed in a dedicated row about 2 rows below the top/live followed channels row. By removing this and all other non-live content, V10 of the FireTV app delivers an experience that is order of magnitudes more cumbersome to navigate compared to the prior version.
In the updated version users are required to search for individual channels (followed channels included) if they're looking for ANY non-live content, even content they've started watching but had to pause and return to later. Why on Earth should we have to go to the search section and search for any of that content in V10 when V9 gave it to us in a clean and concise manner. Moreover, if we want to know what our followed streamers have recently streamed, we have to search each one individually. And once we've made a decision on who to watch, we get to search them a second time in the same session. It's ridiculous and wasn't so cumbersome in V9.
I could give this a pass if the UI presented the most recent broadcast for each followed channel along side all the live followed channels at the top of the home screen. While still not ideal, at least then I'd only have to waste at most a little time passing through a vod I may not be interested in to get to their profile and find the content I'm ultimately looking for. But I can't even do that, and am instead shoehorned into searching for streamers I already follow.
And to top it all off... The chat history has been completely removed from the vods, and you can no longer send chat messages in the FireTV app.
You also can't force the playback overlay to hide in V10, and instead have to wait 5 seconds for it to disappear on its own. Before, in V9, you could hide it without delay by pressing down
Why has so much functionality been removed and the user experience worsened so tremendously?? Keep V10 and give us back V9!!!

Before with the Firestick Twitch App I could have it running for weeks with no issues what so ever and I would be logged into chat through the firestick. Now i am resetting the app what feels like every hour due to getting "something went wrong messages" and also chat now is a forced unfiltered experience meaning I don't benefit from the block list I have through my account. I would suggest a rollback until you have an app that has at least passed some form of quality control. I am a twitch turbo customer who is seriously considering cancelling.

This is ridiculous, I love having chat integrated into my vods and now I cant access them on the firestick which I purchased predominantly to watch twitch streams! Such a downgrade and really disappointing

Something else that is an issue. On the app I only have access to five or six most recent VODs from my favorite creators, while on PC I can find and watch their entire past two month collection of VODs.
This absolutely makes it impossible to continue watching VODs if I switch from my office or living room to my bedroom or other rooms in the house.
The entire app suffered serious setbacks since the update, updates usually mean improvements, unfortunately this app feels like a small company's first attempt at an app, not a multimillion dollar ip that can afford testing and feature inclusion for customers.

Something else I've just noticed...the UI for scrubbing through a VOD (seeking back and forth) is completely unusable. When trying to scrub through an 8-hour VOD, you can either move ten seconds at a time (by tapping the forward/reverse buttons quickly) or a couple of hours in an instant (by holding the button down for any length of time). This makes it impossible to scan by a few minutes at a time or have any hope of narrowing down on a specific part of a VOD. Did anyone attempt to use this app before it was shipped? Why was the perfectly servicable scrub UI (in which pushing forward/backward increased/decreased the seek speed by 2x) abandoned for this nonsense?

Please put back older version. I do not use my firestick tv since the new version 10 is out. I enjoyed using my firestick remote to chat and yhe virtual keyboard with the remote to chat. Now it's all gone

Why have the chat window open by default, if I can't chat without opening another app on a different device? This makes no sense. Also, having the 'UNFOLLOW' button so prominently displayed, and completely unavoidable, does a huge disservice to your content creators.

What is the point of subscribing/ following if the channels I want to watch are NOT quickly accessible? Not included on the HOME page. Home is the place in the app were I should be able to pick up where I left off, see my follows - and get curated content. EVERY other streaming app does this.

This is something being discussed in the Twitch reddit community here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/tniyfa/changed_app_concerns
Overall this seems like such a terrible redesign. I have moved over to YouTube let's play videos because at least I can search for those and save them.

The #1 feature I am missing from this version is LOW LATENCY. I am at least 20 seconds behind everyone else now.

v10 is by far the worst downgrade of any app I have ever seen.. please roll back.. its really nothing good in this version. I purchased the fire TV stick more or less just for twitch, now I feel like I can throw it away..
Maybe we should do bug reports, this cant be serious .. it must be a bug..

Also, may just be me, but it seems like the new app can't consistently stream at high quality (i.e. 1080p60) vods. I've checked my internet and my down speed is >50Mbps, but when I try to stream any nl_kripp vod rn, I have to limit it to 720p60. Otherwise, it rebuffers every 10-15s, eventually locking up completely while attempting to buffer. On the other hand, Quill18 vods... 1080p60 all day no problem, even right after or before failing at the nl_kripp stream.
Admittedly, this is kinda similar to behavior I had in V9, but it's worse now because I can't get around it. In V9, after a while the app wouldn't want to fast-forward, rewind, or load a new stream (if I interrupted what was currently playing), and would just sit there buffering. My fix there was to force close the app and relaunch it, sometimes restarting my FireTV stick, but that's not working with V10.
I had assumed my woes with V9 we're due to crummy FireTV stick hardware, since I didn't have the same issues on our FireTV Cube, and it was across the app, regardless of streamer/vod/quality. But I don't feel like I can say the same here, since my V10 issues are inconsistent between streamers/vods/quality. Additionally, I never had inherent issues streaming 1080p content vs 720p content in the past. So it feels like it's related to the new app more than my hardware setup... Haven't streamed enough on my Cube to confirm any issue there, or if it's just an issue with V10 on Stick, IDK. And if the overhead has been increased with V10, and the app can no longer consistently stream 1080p60 content of FireTV stick hardware, when it could in V9... Seems like a bad update.
Regardless, the ugliness of 720p playback on my 4k TV is just more reason to avoid Twitch right now. 🫤

I've been checking back on this, and it looks like mods are consolidating like feedback together, yeah? Some of my comments in similar posts look to have been moved here, and their respective OPs seem to be removed, not 100% sure. (Either way, I've deleted the additional comments, since they just clutter things up at this point.)
Nice on the one hand to consolidate feedback, but I know I definitely missed a few things here and there on the feature parity front between V9 and V10. So feels bad if anything gets dropped as a result. Ultimately, I just hope the development team takes a hard look at the features offered in V9 vs what is now (no longer) available in V10 and starts quickly resolving the vast gap in functionality.

Have cleared cache and reinstalled, still not all followed streamers show in list, missing almost 50 percent, my iOS device is working fine.

The old UI was not only much more comfortable to use, the update also removed functions that are quite important. Especially on a TV app, where searching, without keyboard, is really annoying. It is not possible anymore to simply browse followed channels and categories, because most of the content is not displayed.
That’s really a quite terrible user experience. Hope you can change this. -

Now I have to search for the followed channels, in the search tab and not in the list of followed channels, because now not all the channels appear. This 10.00 update has no good things, only bad things

The only thing I use my twitch app for is watching the vods for the channels I follow.
This is literally all I use it for and now I can't find them.
There was literally nothing wrong with the app in my book, and they created problems that weren't there. -

During the newest update, entering a stream defaults to a view with chat open and ads playing(for most streams). While ads are playing, the normal UI is locked out and unable to be used. I can't close the chat tab, follow, or view a profile while the ads are playing. This is terrible functionality.
Additionally, having the UI use 'auto-hiding' is extremely annoying. There's no longer a faster manual way to hide the UI and enjoy the stream.
I used to just click a stream and I could put down the remote and enjoy. Now I have to wait for ads to play, then turn off chat, then wait a few more seconds for the UI to hide itself. This is extremely obnoxious.
