1. Where are my subscribed channels?

   I just bought an Apple TV in May 2023 and was excited to install Twitch on it. However I am not happy with it. Half the channels that I am subscribed to do not show up in my "Offline followed channels" list. I have to search for them by name! This is silly. I have to go back to casting Twitch from my phone.

2. Stop Pumping Out ****

   Stop sucking. Seriously, how can you possibly make this garbage app worse on every single iteration?!?! The fact that you couldn't save your search tags and had to enter "english" dozens of times a night has now been replaced with not being able to filter at all. And not only that, you can't even SEE the language tag. It's worthless. Don't even get me started on removing the chat feature. I guess I won't be watching Twitch as much any more.

3. Fix sorting on Apple TV

   The Apple TV app is now nearly useless because everything is sorted by recommendations instead of viewers, and there’s no way to change it like you can on other platforms. Until Twitch is able to make its recommendations actually be decent, change the default sort back to sorting by viewers.

4. Fix the damned AppleTV app

   It's unwatchable. Audio skips constantly. Occasionally, it cleans itself up, but not always. I have had to use airplay from my laptop to mod. This is insane! zYou literally broke the app! What the ****?

   Why did this get removed in the latest update? It helped me figure out if I wanted to watch twitch or not.

6. Make chat an Overlay rather than to the side (optionally)

   Right now, if you want to see the chat for a stream, it has to be to the side of the stream. It looks ugly and creates black bars.

   Let us have the chat in a small box in a corner. Let us control the opacity of the background, the size and position of the box, as well as letting us switch back to the current one.

   SoundTV on android tv does this amazingly well and rather than hiding the chat like I do on appleTV I get to show it and enjoy it without it ruining the stream.

7. Rollback or fix the new update of twitch tv apps.

   The new update is soo laggy and glitchy. You can’t even scroll through the streams correctly without it stuttering or freezing.

   The live followed streamers only show so many of your creators, and if you select see more, it takes you to the “following” page where you still don’t see more just what you saw before 😂😂 so I’ve had to manually search for smaller streamers that I know is live based on the mobile app.

   It’s so troublesome to find new VOD content.

   And also, the audio freezes/stutters every 20-30 seconds and sometimes even worse than that. It gets. Little better if I restart app.
   Also the video will freeze/stutter with the audio sometimes as well.

   The fast forward rewind feature is horrible as well, you can’t accurately fast forward or rewind now. It’s very good for getting to a general area in the stream very fast but don’t expect to fast forward for a small amount of time, you’ll be sliding it everywhere.
   Also, the skip ahead and skip back 15-30 seconds feature is gone. Big yikes.

   And now we can’t report the channel, or chat in the channels on the tv because it wants us to go to the app via QRcode. If I wanted to use the app to report, or chat. I’d be using. My phone to watch the streams. Horrible update btw.

   And last but probably not least. Raids do not work on the Apple TV anymore. If streamer raids another channel, we get left behind on a blank screen. This needs to be fixed asap.

   . And all these things didn’t start happening til the new update. It looks and feels like they want the tv app to be like the desktop? And idk why. Make it more tv user friendly, not make it unusable and unwatchable. Which it is both of them at times now. Horrible update.

9. Top Clips Missing after App Update

   After the most recent Twitch app update/redesign for Apple TV, Top Clips is now missing when going into any categories. For example, previously before the most recent update/redesign, one could go into Just Chatting, and at the bottom would be a row of Top Clips within that category. This made finding new streamers and keeping up with the latest news/drama/etc. much easier and more interesting. Please add it back!

   Also, the new design looks great! Keep up the awesome work.

    The state of Twitch on the Apple TV is fundamentally unacceptable and, if they aren’t already, both companies should be pursuing a lawsuit against their own management for gross negligence and incompetence. The app is UNUSABLE.

    Fix the chatting. Fix the ghost notifications. Fix the UI popping in and out of view in a constant, never ending loop. Fix the scrubbing. Fix the emotes.

    Holy ******* **** this isn’t a joke - take all the comments here seriously and do something other than sit on your *** while this **** has been broken for WEEKS now. Not even one single hotfix. Inexcusable and embarrassing.

    Do something. Anything.

    Your recent update to the TV apps seems to have removed the 'continue watching' section and also the ability to browse past a few days of past broadcasts from streamers. I would recommend bringing these back as for a lot of us we cannot watch live and so catch up on VODs and also like the ability to go back to video's that we have not completed yet. With the apps the way they are now I do not find them usable.

12. Fix full screen stream view on AppleTV

    On the latest version, you cannot gif rid of the bottom icons while viewing a stream in full screen mode (without chat), and the screen flickers as well.

13. Please make some major updates or bring back the old version of the Apple TV app

    The new version of the Apple TV app is not at all user friendly. It lags, is difficult to navigate, and is not customized to me as a viewer the way the old version was. There is no option on my home page anymore for “recently viewed” VODs that I may want to continue watching. Instead now my home page is filled with suggested streamers I couldn’t care less about and I need to navigate all the way over to my followed streamers to get back to a VOD I was previously watching. Also there is no option as a viewer to see or hide the chat playback of a VOD which, in my option, is one of the best parts of watching a VOD on Twitch. It’s so frustrating that I don’t even have that option now as a viewer if I want it. Please please please make these changes and/or bring back the old app. I watch about 90% of streams on my Apple TV but now every time I turn it on these changes just anger me and make me not want to use it.

    The new update - March 3 2023 - has so many downgrades! There are some issues that I was hoping to be addressed, but instead we got more problems.

    1) Not being able not see more than the top 25 Live Followed Channels is a big problem. There are a lot of new and growing streamers I follow, support and moderate that are getting zero visibility with this new update.

    2) Not being able to chat from the tv, and instead being sent to a QR code that connects to the mobile app stops the ability of people participating directly from their tv. I multiscreen watch lots of streamers at the same time, and this stops me from contributing to the one on the tv now, which is unfair.

    3) The chat has become harder to read. The font is smaller and not as legible. ALSO, most chatters names now show up as just white, which makes following the chat much harder than it was in the past.

    4) When someone donates bits, it shows up half the time as the emote and half the time as the lettered bit emote name (no emote image), which is silly.

    5) We still can’t follow a raid, which was taken away during the last update, which is counterproductive to growing twitch and other channels. I figured that would be changed in the update, but it’s still gone.

    6) The lack of animated emotes in the chat bar should have been addressed after all this time as well, but the chat visibility and functionality on the appletv app has slipped even farther behind as opposed to ahead to reflect the growth twitch has been making.

    I’m sure there are other glitches I just haven’t come upon yet, but I’m sure I’m not alone with these complaints and suggestions.

16. Please allow more than the top 25 streams we follow to load under the following section of the updated app (3-2-2023)

    The latest updated (3-2-2023) to the AppleTV only shows the top 25 streams we follow even when viewing the Following section of the app. So we are unable to see all the streamers we follow that are live with lower viewer counts which doesn’t seem fair, to those streamers with lower viewer counts, as they will not show up as being live unless specifically searching for them.

18. Hire a new development team

    It's pretty clear the current teams responsible for all of these app developments are failing miserably at their job. These apps have been broken for years. In the instance of AppleTV the new app updates did nothing to address the real issues people have been complaining about on this forum. I'm proposing a WILD idea of letting this incompetent department go, and outsourcing to an agency that's actually capable.

    The reality is this isn't difficult work, in fact it's VERY straight forward stuff.
    UX design is SIMPLE.
    Coding is SIMPLE.
    Adhering to device architecture is SIMPLE.
    Letting go of incompetent workers is SIMPLE.

    With the right teams all of these issues could be solved within a few weeks time. I work with several agencies that are more than capable of doing this work and I can even put you in contact with them.

19. QR Code now required to chat on AppleTV

    Why remove any ability for users to chat directly via an AppleTV, and enforce QR codes on TV screen to be scanned just to “Join The Conversation” in chat on an entirely different device, and needing Twitch app to be installed to only open Chat-only Mode for same stream; when, chat window is already open and ready to be used on AppleTV via Twitch (tvOS) app.

    An AppleTV remote can already use Siri/buttons to talk/type; plus, an iPhone can also sync with an AppleTV to be used as remote control without having to even have Twitch (iOS) app open at all.

    Chat-Only Mode on Twitch (iOS) app also needs to maximise screen space and/or have the ability for chat window to enter fullscreen-mode, as top portion of screen is wasted by having dedicated window for stream not being used at all in chat-only mode.
