1. New Twitch Mobile Layout

   Hey, we just received a new update that changes the mobile dashboard when you’re viewing! I think I understood the intent, trying to make it look more like tiktok. However, this is VERY user unfriendly - I much preferred the old layout where you aren’t immediately bombarded by a stream already running, and could instead browse your live streams. A stream already up and running also makes it harder to run my twitch app at work, where my internet connection may be worse or I may want to see what someone I follow is playing (i.e., a game with moderate nudity or violence) before I open it up.

   Changing the layout is fine! But I think it might be a good idea to roll-back this weird, tiktok-esque instant video thing you guys are trying out. (Especially because I know some people, like myself, specifically avoid tiktok.)

   Or, at the very least, provide a toggle and the option to turn it off. It makes me want to use the app less, which is the main place I watch streams.

2. Update

   Stop updating the app every other day/every single day. Very annoying when the app performs horribly and the interface is bad. What is being updated, is it updating the insufferable ads to newer insufferable ads?? Get it together and stop being greedy - twitch could have been great but its gone downhill. Most of your staff behaves like furries, too. Just stop.

3. UI Design

   I don’t know what gen z intern made the decision to have it be TikTok 2.0 but it does NOT work for a platform like Twitch. You’re a LONG FORM platform, not a short form like Tiktok and Instagram reels. I’m not on twitch to watch a minute of a stream, I’m here to watch it for hours. The UI design makes that feel like I have to keep scrolling through streams that I don’t care about.

   Not only that but also why the heck do I not know what the stream title is of the streamers I do follow? I personally follow a lot of role play streamers so knowing their title helps if I want to watch them or not. What I gotta do now to see their title, isn’t going to the tiktok fyp (I despise it), it’s going to the category they’re streaming in.
   Why did you make this so much harder?
   What was wrong with the old design?
   Heck, you had the ******* reels/tiktok feed already implemented there, why make it front and center?

   Also please stop lying on Twitter with “We’ve listened to your feedback”. You obviously didn’t or else we wouldn’t be in this situation.

   JUST. CHANGE. IT. BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s all that we, your loyal users, want.

   Stop listening to the few random on twitter who openly admit they use twitch only on pc and have no experience with the mobile app.

4. Going back to the old layout

   How about Twitch do the right thing and go back to the old layout, as the new user UI is rubbish. If I wanted a TikTok style layout, I would use their app. This just proves how out of touch Twitch are with their community, and now the app is not on my phone as I hate the new layout.

6. Restore Continue Watching to Twitch Mobile

   I was disappointed that you entirely removed Continue Watching from the iOS mobile app. I mainly go to Twitch for VODs, and it’s crazy to me that you removed the option to continue watching something.

   My use case is that I mainly watch StarCraft tournaments on Twitch, which are multiple hours long. I work during the day and can’t watch them live, so I watch the VODs over the course of a few days.

   I used to go to the Continue Watching section to pick up where I left off. But it’s gone now.

   If it isn’t popular, I’m ok with you burying it in a menu somewhere. But removing it entirely is an oversight.

11. Change is not always needed!

    This latest Ui update for the homepage is nothing short of inexcusable!

    It provides nothing new at all, if anything you’ve gone completely backwards with it.

    Gone is the Continue Watching section, something that worked well and most people used… Well done

    You can no longer have what you’re watching on in the background whilst on the homepage.. Great!

    Once you’ve cycled through the ugly looking dull homepage, you’ll then realise your phone battery is now down radically from doing so..

    Also removing for some reason the return to top of the page option on the homepage, Why? Every single other app has this but you’ve gone backwards and removed it.

    The video Suggestion’s menu now gone, again something that worked well before.

    If you open the followers side tab on the homepage, whatever you’re watching will stop playing. Another genius idea!

    The search menu now works just as if not better than the homepage so what was the point of “updating” the homepage?

    There was nothing wrong the way it was before, nothing needed changing imo and a lot of other peoples opinion.

    I never thought i would see or use a more worse Ui than kicks current one, but congratulations twitch you have succeed in doing just that 👏🏻

14. Two app options

    Please could you provide two options for the app, one for the new update and one for the old version?

    If not, can you tell me how to uninstall the most recent update?
    I can’t navigate this new layout and I do not like being forced to view a streamer I follow to support, but don’t watch because their content is not safe for me to see.
    Even having auto play turned off doesn’t help because I get a still of their stream.

    Also, I’m dyslexic and this is overwhelming and too busy. I would like to go back to the old, simple, fit for purpose app please.

15. Roll back to previous version of mobile app

    Your newest mobile app changes make browsing my followed channels and finding content more difficult. In fact, it’s harder to find a stream I follow and want to watch than unwanted streams. I’d rather move to YouTube or another streaming platform altogether to find streaming content. Are you trying to give us more reason to leave?

17. Mobile iOS app is terrible (Aug 2024)

    Listen to your user-base and revert the update before you further alienate your loyal users.

    Maybe a few more weeks before I uninstall one of the few apps that’s been a mainstay on my mobile devices for nearly a decade.

18. Revert the twitch app

    Used to be able to still have a stream running while looking to see if you wanted to switch. Now if you want to do that you have to leave the twitch app to go to twitch on the browser so it won’t auto stop the stream. Also fire the idiot who decided to turn a long form video streaming service to TikTok. Idiot.

19. Revert the app update or me and my community go to YouTube

    I as a streamer will be taking my entire community to YouTube if you don't undo this awful, intrusive change that takes extra steps to do the simplest of things on Twitch (loading up a stream from someone I follow) and completely intrudes on streams I'm already watching when I want to minimize it and look at my following list.
