1. Newest update is horrible

   I never leave feedback but this latest update is godawful. No ability to swipe to see the list of people online, I have to click twice to get onto the stream. All around this update is absolute garbage. Please change it back.

2. new update to mobile app

   The new format for the app with the recent update is genuinely bad. I usually watch streams every now and then on my phone when i don’t feel like using console or pc but this new update completely ruins that, i don’t even know how to find the streamers i like watching anymore. I don’t want to tune in to a random stream the moment i open the app, i can understand maybe trying to promote other streamers but i don’t want to be forced into giving someone views when i open the app. The mobile app is now so bad that i barely use it anymore and it hasn’t been that long since the update came out. Despite my own wishes i just watch streams on console and pc now cause i can’t even find the streams i want on mobile anymore. Please revert it back to the way it was or at least give us the option to change it. Personally i find it horrendous to open an app and be immediately thrown into the middle of a stream, this is NOT tiktok. i expect this from tiktok when i first open it, not twitch when i open the mobile app. I don’t even do feedback posts like this but this update has simply ruined my comfortable style of watching streams on mobile. Again, please revert the changes it does not look good nor does it feel good, honestly the making of a downfall for the mobile app itself.

3. BRING BACK THE OLD UI

   Every community Discord I’ve been in today is people FREAKING OUT over this update. IT IS HORRENDOUS. Everyone is scrambling to revert their app to the last version because this new one is unusable. Whoever came up with this should be fired.

4. New UI is a hot mess, pls revert it

   I know a lot of ppl have already commented on this issue, but I’ll say it again because it’s so god awful. This new UI has made the app completely unusable for me, it’s basically shoving too much information into my face at once. I can’t watch anything in peace, and I can’t find any of my favourite streamers anymore. I’m unironically going to watch my streams on YouTube until this mess is fixed. Goodbye.

5. Revert the iOS app, its awful

   Youre not tiktok, i dont know what streamers are live, its annoying to get to the following page, no one likes the stories. Overall the app was bad, but after this recent update its borderline unusable, you have to dig to find a list of live streamers, feedback button is hidden deep inside the settings, cant hide pinned promo “drops” nonsense from chat, which makes chat like fourth of the screen, its unusable. Its good to try things, but this aint it guys, lets go back and improve what we had, nor make frickin tiktok from twitch right. Thanks.

   最新のアップデートで変更されたUIが非常に見にくい、使いにくいので是非とも元に戻して欲しい。

   Whoever thought that adding reels to twitch was a good idea,should be be fired.Absolute idiot behavior,every single app is exactly the same and you put it on the home page as well.Rollback the updates.

9. The new iOS App is a disaster

   I just wanted to make sure to pile on to what everyone else is saying: this app update is the single worst redesign Twitch has ever done.

   Some people in leadership and a product owner or two are probably too busy high-fiving each other for coming up with such a “relevant” idea for a redesign to realize that this is, to put it lightly, beyond bad.

   Twitch is not a social media app. That much was already proven when the leaders who oversee mobile engineering decided that “stories” should be a feature on Twitch only for nobody to use it. And nobody uses it because Twitch is not Instagram or Snapchat. It’s a bad implementation of a bad idea.

   This here latest update is a continuation of your leaders’ insistence on making Twitch profitable by trying to make it something that it’s not.

   I have no doubt in my mind that your engineers knew full well that this was a terrible idea, but they were undoubtedly ignored in their concerns and were still glad to get paid making something that they hate, just like almost every single iOS user.

   Change the app back. This is not a change people will just accept like YouTube redesigning the subscription box a decade or so ago. This is genuinely horrible UX and a godforsaken UI.

11. Revert most recent update to mobile UI

    Where to even begin with this god awful UI change…

    No thumbnails/titles for followed channels, completely removing the ability for creators to describe what it is they are doing, now only having it show their view count and what game they are playing

    Followed channels not being it’s own easily accessible tab that still allows you to actually watch content from followed channels (regardless of it not being the default anymore, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, all at least still have a place you can go to or method you can use to only see content from channels/accounts you are following/subscribed to)

    No “continue watching” section for archived streams/VODs, you can now only find these by going to each individual channel, which itself is now also a more complicated and annoying process since there’s no way to sort followed channels and they no longer show indicators for unwatched VODs

    No “clips” section where you can see recent clips from followed channels and choose which ones to watch, only a ridiculous scrolling feature that forces you to watch clips one by one and doesn’t even allow you to see ones specifically from channels you follow (which again, is the entire point of having a “following” page)

    No “followed games” section to create a short list of games you’re interested in and see streams of specifically those games

    Hilariously stupid integration of vertical video (70% blurred background every time you open the app to the main home screen) given that Twitch is a platform that almost exclusively operates on horizontal video

    I’m sure there are more that I haven’t even realized yet but that’s honestly because I’ve been completely disincentivized from using the app at all with how many things I used regularly that are now an annoying hassle or have just been completely removed as a functionality of the app.

    We get it. You want to be TikTok so bad. But even with that in mind this update is so poorly implemented that it detracts from and completely disrupts the user experience for all existing users while not properly accomplishing anything that would attract these new “TikTok-esque” users that are apparently so desirable that you’re willing to **** over everyone else to try and win them over.

    Surely there is a better way to do this, one that accomplishes the goals of integrating vertical video and TikTok-style scrolling to attract new users that still allows existing users to enjoy the app in the way they would want to

14. Revert back to the last format of Twitch.

    This latest update to the Twitch app is horrible. How the **** do yall replace convenience with this garbage of an update? Random people I don’t care to watch in my feed. If I minimize the stream I’m watching to do something else I have to press play again because it pauses. Multiple streams play the sound over each other if you have one minimized and look through the feed. I’ve even been watching a stream and heard someone else’s voice, looked down at my phone and a totally different stream was playing for some reason. **** well wasn’t a raid because I went right back to who I was watching. Pretty sure y’all will see the majority will dislike this new twitch layout for mobile. Y’all keep trying to turn this into a reel app.

    Bring back the actual list that can be quickly glanced at seeing who is streaming, who's genius idea was it to get rid of that and have the cheek to say scrolling through one by one each individual streamer is quicker??? You've taken away the at a glance look to see who is streaming when looking who to raid!!!! Just wasted my time writing this, I'm not using Twitch till this is fixed. Latest update is trash!!!!

19. STOP TRYING TO BE TIKTOK

    REVERT BACK TO THE OLD TWITCH LAYOUT. This is not TikTok. every app does NOT need to look like TikTok. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ASKED FOR TWITCH TO BE MORE LIKE TIKTOK. I don't want to discover new streamers at the moment. I don't want a random stream to start playing when I open the app. I WANT TO WATCH THE STREAMERS THAT I'M ALREADY FOLLOWING AND SUBSCRIBED TO!
