1. Use experience changes

   Necessary changes to the mobile app from a user experience (both iOS/iPadOS/Android)

   If you are a Twitch dev reading this, here’s your big chance to get that promotion!

   I’ve been on this platform since it was called Justin.TV and 4pp was playing clock tower and Fatal Frame and has seen how this app has stagnated over the years. It just does not cut it anymore and it can’t keep up with competition. The user experience is quite poor on the smaller screens and here is how to address that:

   Step 1. The player and chat layout needs a complete overhaul( the new layout makes no sense as it is cluttered and has only one message at the time, too big, not transparent enough and too much annoying static icons like bits comment etc that distracts you from enjoying the stream.

   SOLUTION: make a minimalistic chat box that hovers atop the FULL SCREEN player. The user MUST be able to set size of chatbox, TRANSPARENCY and size of text according to their liking. At least have some presets so users like me can have a non intrusive little chat box to feel part of chat experience without breaking immersion.

   IMPORTANT: an excellent example would be to tune into streamer “Elajjaz” and take note of how he integrates a small transparent chat onto the full screen player on his end. The problem is that there will be a significant delay since the chat is on his end. But the layout is brilliant! A lot of other streamers do this too and it should be the new standard.

   Doing this will remove the black bars that you get on theater mode etc. small screens definitively benefit from a full screen with chat experience. But I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep it customizable and minimalistic like the streamers set it up to be. Non intrusive! Should not be in the way of the content at all (size and transparency). Also keep in mind that various streamers have different cam placements so consider letting the app remember what setting the user want for every streamer?

   Step 2: Bring back the toggle for “ notify me about new app updates”. I’m getting nagged into insanity 1-2 times a day about this and can’t image paying for a service that does this tbh. It never takes no for an answer. I want to check for updates manually when I have time!

   Step 3: bring back the option to use the old MiniPlayer when you swipe down on a stream, instead of the clumsy slow picture-in-picture player that you use now. The old one was snappier and you could tap anywhere on it to go back into the stream. The new one needs to be tapped once to bring up the options to either close or go into it. It’s super sluggish!

   I hope you find this advice useful from a loooong time user! A lot of people are complaining about how bad the experience is and this would be great improvement for sure.

4. アーカイブを倍速で見ると起こるバグ

   アーカイブを倍速で見ると無音になって映像だけが倍速で進みます。一時停止しようとしてもすぐには止まらず、止まってもう一度再生すると今度は音声だけが倍速で流れます。今のところアーカイブで倍速にするとこのバグが絶対に発生します。

6. Bug report: Coming back from ads, the screen goes black and stream stops

   When watching a stream who I am not subbed to, when coming back from ads, the screen goes black and has no sound. I have to refresh the stream to get it to start again. The time continues.

7. Fix audio being robotic when increasing speed of a VOD

   Before it was an issue in both, IOS default video player and Twitch player, but now IOS default player seem to have normal audio when sped up unlike Twitch player

8. Stream manager doesn’t fit ios screen

10. Revert Stream Manager

    As a small streamer with only 1 screen/TV, i would use my phone to see both chat & notifications/follows; on the previous Stream Manager version both chat & notifs could be viewed on one screen but now with the recent update they’re on 2 different tabs making it difficult to interact with both chat & any follows fluidly.

    Please make both chat & stream activity viewable on one screen.

11. Please restore BadVenus

    BadVenus has the best trivia show on Twitch, and the only reason I use Twitch.
    BadVenus tries very hard to follow the rules and admonishes users that are mean with their comments.
    Please restore the BadVenus contributor account. I will not be using Twitch until this is done!

12. Banning Streamers

    How about you create a review process to verify legitimate streamers! The fact that someone complains and a streamer is banned is not professional. The streamer should receive a full report on why the ban has occurred with cited evidence proof of the ban.

13. UX needs improvement

    I click onto a streamer, I am greeted with an ad right away, (1-1 luckily). I minimize the ad to see who else is streaming, decide not to leave. I click back onto the same streamer whose stream is currently open with an ad playing, and am greeted with a new queue of ads. This should not be a thing. Ad hungry pigs

15. Share button on the mobile app.

    So right now I'm on my phone trying to share my Twitch profile to a discord. So I'm think "Maybe there's the profile's link somewhere on the app. Copy paste boom boom done." But I couldn't find it anyway.

    Note that maybe I just never saw it and typing that for nothing.
    Note that maybe I'm right and there's the button somewhere or a way to copy the URL so I can paste it somewhere.

    Ok, just now. Before that paragraph got started, I went to the support page on the Twitch app to get the link of the support page about what I'm talking about (but browser edition) -_- this is ridiculous. Anyway the support page I'm talking about is called "How to Share A Stream-Share live channels, past broadcasts, or Clips with the Share button to social media, or embed video or chat on your website." Anyway yeah that but on the phone app. Ok bye

16. Add artist attribution to emote information when tapping an emote on mobile

19. Delay 30 seconds

    Hi, I got really good idea. At least i think i do haha.
    There are people with slow internets. So with that been said, the idea is to create a delay on the live video in order to have the ability for the watcher to load 30 seconds before-wards. Instead of the internet to be pushing to watch live and never keep up.
