VIP add/remove event Adding new subscription types for the VIP add and remove event (Like existing add and remove moderator events)
It would be great to be able to create an interaction in stream when the streamer (Or a moderator or any other automated system thanks to the API) adds a VIP.

Endpoint to fetch scheduled ads Let us fetch the scheduled ads of a streamer so we can know when ads will be played
This should be scoped for safety

Get Banned Users should work for all channels authenticated user is moderator of I feel like I’ve seen this suggested before, but I’m unable to find another suggestion for this currently.
Anyway, right now Get Banned Users (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-banned-users) only works for the user that is authenticated, regardless of them being a moderator for other channels.
It would be very useful if the restriction on
broadcaster_id
matching the auth token’suser_id
was softened and instead just require thatuser_id
is a moderator forbroadcaster_id

search archived videos by stream id The get-videos API (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-videos) takes either a video id, user_id, or game_id, but does not take a stream_id, so if you want to find the VOD from a stream ID you captured while the stream was live, you have to search back through a user's videos and match them up, which is not super efficient, especially if the stream is old. Could you add stream_id as a possible query parameter please?
Thanks,

Add Native OAUTH RFC Implementation Add support for RFC8252 (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8252#section-7.1) which allows for users to specify custom scheme URI's for OAUTH callback urls. This would allow native application developers to not have to piggyback through a server and instead they can configure their applications to handle these schemes for confirming the oauth callback, for example
my-app-name:/authorization?code=XXXXX

Fix misleading example using CLI to test EventSub handler The example for using the CLI to test your handler shows a secret that looks like a 32-byte hexadecimal string. Actually the CLI interprets it as an ASCII string, so the example is actually passing a 64-byte string for the secret. I found this very misleading and it took me a bit of time to figure out why my code was not computing the correct HMAC until I realized that the format the CLI expects is ASCII string not hexadecimal string.

Get Video in the new API include "animated_preview_url" I would really like if "animatedpreviewurl" could get included in the new API.
Previously/currently it was return from the old API endpoint Get Video (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/videos#get-video).4 votes -
Stop asking for mobile 2fa to register applications. Stop asking for my mobile number to register applications or for any reason at all.
You already get 2fa by sending the verification code through email. Sending it through mobile is an added security risk. It only makes it easier to compromise the account when hackers can just contact the mobile operator to be able to clone our mobile number.
The verification code through email is plenty. I have secure passwords on both email and twitch accounts, I can make sure they are safe, I can control that. I can't control what my mobile operator does with my SIM ID.…

Note in /users that a user has changed his name As soon as a user changes his name, the helix/users API can add an entry to the query of the old user name with the new one for a certain time.
This allows bots that work with the username instead of the ID to react faster to the name change4 votes -
Extended moderation/banned to allow optional param`moderator_id` Extend the banned API to allow filtering on the API by the moderator whom performed an action.
Third party tools may need to check the actions that a given moderator did, or ask the moderator to reconcile their bans/actions post stream with additional resoaning/comments in an external tool

Prediction Author in API response The new prediction/polls APIs are very welcome, but it would be useful to know who started/locked/ended a prediction.
Maybe to display info to chatters who to talk to about the rules of the current prediction or maybe to log potential abuse of predictions.

GetChannelEmotes does not return GIF URL's The new GetChannelEmotes endpoint does not return the correct image url for gif emotes.
For example on Lirik:
for an animated emote it returns the url:
https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/emotesv2_53ff77f7c67641528739780d90568494/1.0
When in fact the correct url should of been:
At the moment all gif emotes are given png url's.
4 votesThis is the intended behavior. We will be updating the documentation to make it clearer that static images are returned and we will also be documenting the CDN URL schema to request different aspects of the emote (e.g. static/animated, light/dark/, etc)

Allow Clients to update all Custom Rewards and Redemptions, not just the ones they create Right now there is a limitation of the Custom Rewards API that makes it so a client can only update the custom rewards (and their redemptions) that it has created. However, with EventSub we can receive notification of any Custom Reward, regardless of whether the client created it or not. This means you can write a client to take some action upon Custom Reward Redemption, link it up to a preexisting Custom Reward, and it will take action. But the Client will never be able to programmatically mark the Redemption as FULFILLED, because the client didn't create the Custom Reward…

Enable non-validated extension for my viewers As a developer that loves creating new ways of interacting with my viewers there are things that would benefit from using the extension system but that would be way too specific to my stream to be validated for everyone.
As far as i know, the only ways of having an extension enabled for my viewers is either to go through the validation process or whitelist every users one by one.
Maybe i'm mistaken, but I don't think twitch would validate an extension if other users cannot actually use it, and whitelisting the viewers one by one is not viable at…

API for Moderation Tools We're currently unable to CRUD User Notes from the Moderators Update last year. We also cannot read/issue a timeout or issue a ban via API.

can we have it so adding a new channel point from the api doesn't add it the the beginning of the list? Reason for this is because when creating new redemption awards they always add the beginning of the list, what if I wanted to do specific orderings. I would like to remove the "new" indicator or have it say new but in the correct sorted order.
As an aside, I would also love to see bulk redemption pushing, havent seen a way to do this one either.
