  2. For example, the YouTube Data API has the "fields parameter" to accomplish this, an example being: items(userid, username, title)

    https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started#fields

    Thanks!

  4. The Twitch Developer Rig should support pubsub whispers. It current supports normal broadcasts, but not whispers to target a specific user's frontend.

  5. There are two scenarios when using this API which return a 500 from the server, but which should return either a 401 or 400 and a meaningful error code to help point out the issue:

    1. If you have set your productSKU's to 'live', but you're testing in 'Hosted testing', you receive this error. A response telling you that you cannot test SKUs in live mode when in hosted testing would be great.

    2. If your extension is live and you are trying to use bits on a channel which doesnt support it, you will receive a 500 from the server. I…

  6. bits revshare is obviously not enough to build a sustainable small/medium business on twitch extensions atm (except 1-2 examples out of hundreds). reasons behind as I see them - extensions are for small streamers mostly. middle/big ones are not that into extensions as a product category. thus even being featured 24/7 doesn't provide enough viewers to actually get $1000-5000 dev payout for most of devs. not to mention retention aspect.

moreover streamers are not that eager for bits. their current meta is to grow subs.

so the idea is to provide devs with ability to work with subscriptions and get…

  7. It is quite hard to find clips using https://www.twitch.tv/manager/clips page to find clips and API does not offer nice solutions to make a 3rd party application to replace it.
Here are some examples of API request parameters and some of their possible uses.

    curator_id:
    - clip creator can find all their own clips
    - broadcaster can find and delete all the clips from problematic viewer

    vod_id:
    - find clip compilation material for the stream

    created_at:
    - find clip compilation material for the date(and range)
    - find throwback clips - "last year this time we did this"

    broadcaster_id:
    - in combination…

  8. Add a occured_at timestamp that tells you when the content in the clip was actually streamed.

Clips API objects have a created_at timestamp which is when the user made the clip but this can be months or years off from when the content in a clip actually happened if a clip was made from a VOD which makes created_at useless for a lot of use cases.

Even for clips from livestreams this is an issue as users can cut clips from a 2 minute (90 secs?) window so the actual content of two clips with the exact same created_at timestamps…

  9. Can you please double check the meaning of the sentences covered in this page (ex: Send the user you want to authenticate to your registered redirect URI. -> you dont't send them to the redirect URI but to the Twitch uri under the cited pharagraph) And the 'token+idtoken' is not equal to 'token%20idtoken' (the 'token id_token' is) the '+' signs encoded to '%2B' which trows an error whereas the ' ' (space) encoded to '%20' which returns the desired result.

  10. Currently, it is possible to listen either to all custom channel point redemption or redemptions of specific reward id.

It would be great if we could add a condition to only listen to redemptions of rewards that have been created by our own client id with the channel points API.

With this, we do not need to create x amount of eventsubs for x amount of rewards we created for the broadcaster.

  11. You could once enter redirect URLs in this format which is useful for cookie testing:
    <a rel="nofollow noreferrer" href="http://some.prefix.localhost:8080/auth/twitch/callback">http://some.prefix.localhost:8080/auth/twitch/callback</a>

Now I can no longer change the URLs of my application without removing this entry. I would like it to allow HTTP for domain names ending in [some.prefix].localhost not just localhost.

  14. API endpoints should be implemented within the moderation:read or channel:moderate scope (not sure which would be the better fit) for the info present in the /user panel in mod view.

I imagine it would work very similarly to /helix/moderation/banned/events but with two major differences:
    • broadcaster_id would not require matching the user_id in the auth token; it would just need to match a broadcaster_id that the user is a moderator for.
    • user_id in the API call becomes a required parameter to keep it in line with how the /user panel works today

This should result in allowing applications to…

  16. Hola equipo de Twitch Api, me preguntaba si hay una forma de SEGUIR a un canal en especifico usando la API?, después de terminar el flujo de OAuth y obtener el token de acceso.

  17. We're currently unable to CRUD User Notes from the Moderators Update last year. We also cannot read/issue a timeout or issue a ban via API.

  18. The ability to interact with ban appeals with API would be a useful tools for developers who create full moderation/management suites for broadcasters. This could include the ban reason, the appeal reason. This would also help us fill the gaps with missing information that Twitch has right now, like tracking the number of appeals or storing the appeal reason after approved.

  19. The Developer APIs are often used to resolve relationships with sets of accounts used in follow bots through the Block User Endpoint. It would be useful if we could expand the reasons to allow developers to programmatically report bot accounts to help Twitch in removing these accounts. We are all actively building systems to help combat this issue on behalf of Twitch, so let us do our best to help your team.

  20. I see you have it in your v5 API https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/channels#reset-channel-stream-key

But it seems like there's no way to do this in the current API? This would allow someone to create an automated channel for a community, like the Randomania channel, or the ZeldaSpeedruns channel
