  1. Please extend

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#check-automod-status

To provide as much information as the new PubSub Topic for automod-queue.<moderator_id>.<channel_id> does

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/pubsub#topics

Currently the API jsut does pass/fail
    But PubSub provides content/text/frames/reasoning.

This endpoint may be used by third party tools such as tip alerts or extensions to determine if a message passes review or not.

And if it is to be held and presented in a dashboard for moderation staff to review would be useful to include the additional information/reasoning for the block.

  2. I know this has it's own endpoint but would be nice to have them in once place

  3. Similar to - https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/41272606-extend-start-commercial-error-message-to-return-r

Please provide an endpoint that returns the following information

    • adverts last run
    • adverts can run next (retry_after)
    • adverts max duration

    SImilar to https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/41272606-extend-start-commercial-error-message-to-return-r

It would be useful to provide better tooling for streamers whom have a contract requiring ads to be run.

  4. We're currently unable to CRUD User Notes from the Moderators Update last year. We also cannot read/issue a timeout or issue a ban via API.

  5. It would be useful if we could accept or reject a list of redemptions for handling batch accept/reject events.

Some examples of usage might be using Channel Points to join a game or a queue where a limited number of people can be accepted in. An app may need to reject a long list of users.

We have a use case on an upcoming feature and I'm concerned we'll easily hit the rate limit if a few of our larger channels make use of it.

  6. With the way how certain bots work, Webhooks wouldn't work with said bots. So my Suggestion is to include PubSub so more bots can utilize features like Hype Train and other stuff included on twitch.

  7. Would be nice to if the Twitch service over at IFTTT had the channel title as an ingredient to be used.

This would enable a huge range of services to utilize the channel title for marketing purposes.

Zapier has this, but not IFTTT.

  8. This guide descibes how Partners can assign someone a lifetime sub that doesn't count to rev of points

    https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/lifetime-subscriber-guide-for-partners

The API doesn't present any information as to who is a lifetime sub or not.
So we cannot guestimate sub points (or revenue if we are building revenue reporting tools for streamers we work with) from the API as we don't know who is a lifetime sub or not.

Please provide an API endpoint that lists these subs, which would be "cheaper" than a boolean flag added to the subscribers endpoint

  9. Currently the API doesn't support marking a reward out of stock manually. This may be beneficial for rewards that take some time to process where specifying a hard cooldown wouldn't be appropriate.

In addition, support for a custom "out of stock" message may benefit some developers. Using sound alerts as an example, if a streamer is in "focus mode" and needs to concentrate on what they are doing, rather than say the default "out of stock" it could say "StreamerX is focusing right now".

  10. Allow to request clips/videos on multiple required query paramters (broadcasterid & gameid).

  11. Add the ability to trigger a reward redemption from the API - similar/same to what happens when clicking the reward in the chat dialog.

For example an extension has added a custom reward XYZ and to trigger a certain action in or for the extension this reward needs to be used.

So instead of the extension telling the viewer "please redeem reward XYZ to do this or that" and then waiting for the redemption, immediately trigger the redemtion via the API - saving the viewer the need to browse and look for the redemtion in question.

    Result of this API…

  13. Submitting this on behalf of Jeff Fritz, which he mentioned while talking about a Channel Points streaming opportunity. I was talking about building an example that uses webhooks to flag when a specific category is selected for a stream so a developer knows when to enable or disable a channel points reward. His question was why Twitch doesn't handle that automatically.

If there was an optional category property that could be set when creating the custom reward, Twitch could potentially handle enabling/disabling a reward more reliably if the context for switching is a category update, which would probably be the…

  15. channel information endpoint provides "gameid", "gamename" and "title" for live streams, but it doesn't return the stream uptime as displayed below a live stream; would be useful to acquire this via API.

  16. There's currently no way to unfollow a game from the API, in any of the existing APIs (helix, v5, v3). You can follow a game in v5, but not unfollow. Helix has nothing related to games/category. The website itself uses GQL.

  17. Specifically talking about:
    - Get Channel Information: helix/channels
    - Search Channel: helix/search/channels
    - Get Users: helix/users

Those endpoints all return data concerning a specific channel, but all of the JSON responses are different and no single endpoint contains all the data you need.

Say I have a user id and want to get the profile picture of that channel, whether it is live and the title of the broadcast.

For the profile picture I have to hit the 'Get Users' endpoint.
For the 'isLive' info I need to hit the 'Search Channels' endpoint, and then find the correct user from…

  18. Currently you can subscribe to a webhook to receive a handful of types of events. The only way to see when a stream goes live is to subscribe to a topic for that particular user. It would be incredibly useful to specify a category and receive a webhook whenever a stream goes live in that category.

  19. It has become difficult to obtain whats on the frontpage by region.

Please provide an API to collect/obtain this data, it's useful for moderation to understand if/why we get a influx of viewers/chatters and can allocate additional bot rules/filters and/or moderation staff

  20. On helix we can only get people that are subscribed to a broadcaster, we can't get the broadcasters a user is subscribed to.

    So basically we've got V5 channels/<channel ID>/subscriptions.
    We are missing V5 <user ID>/subscriptions/<channel ID>.
