  2. A Twitch Extension may choose to show profile images user or emotes of a channel.

At any given moment Twitch could change the CDN for those images from "static-cdn.jtvnw.net" to something else.

Under the new CSP policy, Extension developers need to define those URL's
But the current CSP doesn't include the Twitch CDN for image content in the default CSP.

So a developer adds static-cdn.jtvnw.net to their supported content domains.
If Twitch changes this, then the extension developer has to deploy an update including the new URL/domain in their CSP list

The default CSP should include Twitch CDN's by default…

  3. On the extensions/manager dashboard page

The options on the "Activated" extensions bottom right is configure and uninstall

Streamers are more likely to uninstall than deactivate as the trashcan/uninstall is too prominent compared to deactivate from slot, for if a streamer wants to deactivate instead.

The uninstall dialog doesn't mention deactivate either, "you are about to uninstall are you sure you don't want to deactivate instead"?

  4. in "HTTPS on localhost: the easy way" part, there is too much of the selection in "We recommend using Google Chrome. In the browser, enable the flag allow insecure localhost. To enable this flag, navigate to: chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost and restarting your browser." sencetnce, for me, "allow insecure localhost. T" is secelted, but i think it should be "allow insecure localhost" only

  5. There should be a note about zipping the package for uploading to twitch: That the files themselves should be zipped, not the folder. Just saying that the extension should be zipped probably isn't descript enough.

  8. Due to the new video embedding structure at twitch, the dev rig is currently not be able to show the videoplayer behind the extensions.
Perhaps I have missed some information, but it could be quiet helpful to mention this (temporarily?) unavailibility somewhere.

And then I saw this Troubleshooting chapter with its Feedback button...
