Re-enable auto-play on embedded streams I've noticed a sharp decline in viewers coming in from outside of Twitch lately, I understand that this is due to new changes in how embedding the streams on other websites works, namely that the streams no longer auto-play. However, I find that the auto-play is important to onboarding new viewers who don't already use Twitch regularly. People's attention is caught by seeing the stream moving on my page, and without that, it's far more difficult to get their attention. I would request that this change be reverted, since many creators rely on auto-play to attract viewers from outside of…

Embed viewer fix I have a potential idea to fix the viewer inflation issue with embeds, so hear me out:
This involves oAuth, pass through the client id of the app + the user id of the user viewing to the embed.
if no user id and client-id is passed through, then consider them a embed viewer and not count towards actual viewer count.
This way it'll create two types of viewers: real and embed, and will get rid of the insane high viewer counts, therefore giving you the real count.

Embedded VOD Chat If you embed a Live twitch broadcast on another website, it includes the chat along with it, which is great! But if you embed a VOD on another site, the chat is absent. Why? I see no reason why you wouldn't at least have an option for it in there! Let embedded VODs have their chats!

Timestamp is not working properly when clicking on the twitch logo on an embedded VOD video Timestamp is not working properly when clicking on the twitch logo on an embedded VOD video
When clicking on the twitch logo of an embedded video of a VOD, the normal behavior should be that it goes to another tab and opens the VOD with the timestamp working. However the behavior that is shown in the video and through my experience is that due to the link/url including "/?ttcontent=twitchlogo&tt_medium=embed" after the timestamp, it invalidates the link with the timestamp.

If the link was instead "https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1044994951?tt_content=twitch_logo&tt_medium=embed&t=3h47m46s", it would work as intended.

OFFICIAL TWITCH PLUGIN Some of us have websites- eCom stores, information websites, etc. I have a PC hardware review website and would like to wish to integrate it just like Youtube. I wish Twitch had the tools that worked.
Twitch has embed code separately for viewing and chat. But it's rather a general code that has fixed width and height. You'd think a big platform like Twitch would have an official WordPress plugin with a responsive design. Also, plugins have better compatibility with WordPress.
There are plugins for Twitch, but they have long been discontinued. There are so many websites out there that…

Add overlay info to the player embed state We really need a way to determine what overlays display to the user so we can handle them gracefully. For example, we have no way of knowing when the mature overlay displays and this negatively affects our channel discovery UX.

Embed player ads I'm wondering why Twitch play placeholder ads on embed player instead of the usual ads on Twitch platform. There are more ads played on embed player and even then it's just a placeholder so I don't understand what is the point of showing the ads.

Video clip overlay hovering duration I have a iOS mobile app that embeds Twitch clips retrieved from the api. When a user taps the big play button in the center of the video, the video overlay (thumbnail, title, controls) stays hovering for close to 6 seconds. Tapping the video again to hide to overlay does not work.
However, when a user taps the small play button on the bottom left corner and then taps on the video, the overlay hides instantly.
Having a significant portion of the video content covered for the first 6 seconds of the clip is a bit annoying, and most users…

Option to remove prime button, or turn of flag notifications. It stays persistently flagged, I can activate it and within ten minutes a new red flag has appeared and wants more attention. Give users a way to stop the nagging notifications for prime deals. Everyday all day it lights back-up everytime you click it. It is a nuisance.

Embeds should have language parameter Our live events are in french. We would like the chat embed widget to be in french, or at least give us the option to change the text of what's visible like the "Send a message", "Chat", and "Welcome to the chat" messages.

Embeds have 1px solid white line in certain responsive sizes See: https://gyazo.com/38763967bd9f2f69728c30af7386dfd7

Proposed fix: Set the background-color: black on the html element in the iframe. Possibly only in a darkmode if such exists.
Why is this the correct fix ? I think the cause is weird sub pixel roundings (in this case Firefox). We have seen it previously on Chrome also and seems to also be hardware dependent. I doubt this will ever be fixed from browser vendors while setting it black will mask the issue for good.
