  1. The old semi-unofficial API endpoint to allow/deny messages held by AutoMod used to cause an event in the PubSub "chat moderator actions" topic, which made sense because other moderators should be informed of this mod action. I think at some point it also happened when allowing/denying through the website.

Now allowing/denying through the website and the new endpoint (I think) does not provide this information to other mods. The only thing that is sometimes triggered is a channel terms action event, which is good, but it doesn't provide a direct connection to which message was affected (and it doesn't seem…

  2. Rather than having to get all clips from a created time frame window.

It would be nicer to be able to get all clips from a given video ID. Both from a performance perspective and ease of use perspective.

It's then easier for editors to collate clips from a given stream for highlight compilation creation

  3. It would be useful to be able to automate uploading a new channel offline screen.

    (And banner too)

We may do game themed offline screens and want to automate doing that.
And/or manage it on behalf of the streamer, since the only way to currently update offline screens is if you are the broadcaster.

  4. I'd like to see an API endpoint that gives me information about the level of support for a given channel/streamer and user/viewer combination.

On one hand, I as a viewer want to have a way of getting my total numbers raised in support of a given streamer (that is, user BhaaLseN on $channel).

On the other hand, I as a streamer want to have a way of getting total numbers raised by a particular viewer of mine (that is, user $viewer on BhaaLseN).

The former is meant for viewers and addons like FFZ/BTTV that display numbers: amount of subs gifted…

  5. Add the functionality to sort Channel Points redemptions into categories (and ofc make this settabel via the API).

It gets confusing and hard to find the redemption you're looking for with the current (amount of points based) sorting when you have one or more applications with multiple redemptions each and maybe then even some random single ones as well.

  6. Please provide an API that provides

    • what program is being watched
    • What season/episode it is
    • Episode/program title
    • Cast information
    • When started
    • Link to the program on amazon (it's ASIN/whatever)

Information should be provide by broadcaster_id filter as a API
Sent out as a webhook (watchparty started, watchparty ended)
Provided as a PubSub event (started/ended/progress events?)

PubSub and webhook should also provide information about a Watch party about to start

The watch party player does a countdown to show start, so that should be replicatable.

People whom are not amazon prime members, or do not have that program available to them…

  8. Currently the only way to fetch this information is via a semi-undocumented endpoint. Given Twitch's past record on these endpoints, I don't want to rely on them as by my experience they have a tendency to suddenly disappear. For this reason, I'm asking for this information to be added to the Helix API.

  9. The Search Categories API doesn't seem to apply any "relevance" and direct matches are not often the first result.

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#search-categories

    Please apply relevance sorting.

  10. The Get Videos API presents the duration as a string, example: "3h8m33s"

Please add an additional key of "duration_seconds" of the time of the video in seconds.

  11. This is great documentation. I'm asking if there will ever be a pubsub topic for sharing real-time viewercounts? I've noticed the get channel endpoint only updates every 15 minutes.

  12. If you have a not very tall browser.
And you request, a fair chunk of the oAuth scopes.

When you redirect the user to Twitch.

The Accept/Deny link page auto jumps down to the bottom of the page.

This means the first few/most "dangerous" scopes as well as the application name/logo and whom you are logged in as are above the fold of the page.

Basically "suggesting" to the user not to read all the scopes and just go accept/deny.

The auto jump to bottom of the page should be removed.

  15. In V5, it is possible to get all emotes that existed on the platform via both
    "get-all-chat-emoticons"
    and
"get-chat-emoticons-by-set" (when no sets are provided)

This currently has no equivalence in Helix, and also has no listed migration path.

This request is to create an endpoint that returns the list of all emote sets (and ideally their last update time) such as "get-all-emote-sets". This would allow a user to then get all emotes via the "helix get-emote-sets" endpoint that currently exists.

  16. Add a occured_at timestamp that tells you when the content in the clip was actually streamed.

Clips API objects have a created_at timestamp which is when the user made the clip but this can be months or years off from when the content in a clip actually happened if a clip was made from a VOD which makes created_at useless for a lot of use cases.

Even for clips from livestreams this is an issue as users can cut clips from a 2 minute (90 secs?) window so the actual content of two clips with the exact same created_at timestamps…

  17. Please can you provide an endpoint for get emote informations (like channel's id) with emote id(s), this can be usefull ?

PS: Morever, datas returned by the Get all chat Emoticons endpoint API are not updated (here: https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/chat#get-all-chat-emoticons).

    Thanks you very much :),

  18. CRUD for bet as streamer
    CRUD for bet as viewer

    As streamer:

    • Being able to start/cancel a bet from endpoint
    • Being able to state who won from endpoint
    • Maybe get stats about the bet (invested coins, status, nb of participant, ...) (as Events or/and as HTTP API)

    As viewer:
    - Receive an Event when there is a new bet
    - Get bet info using endpoint (remaining time, title, bet A, bet B, nb of people who bet)
    - Place a bet using endpoint
    - Event win or lose

  19. Honestly this whole documentation is a bit sloppy. There should be clearer examples of using the APIs as I had to go Googling how the authentication actually works as the headers seem to be different than this suggests.
