Add a "isLive" property when fetching users by id/login My current use case: When given a username, find out if that user has a Twitch account and if so, find out if they are currently streaming.
Current solution: Use the 'Get Users' endpoint, if it finds a user, use the 'Get Streams' endpoint.
Request: Could we get a "isLive" boolean to indicate if a user is currently streaming?

Featured Clips - add date of feature to get clips It's nice to know that a clip is a featured but I'd like to know when the clip was set as featured
I'd like to automate the removal of "old featured clips" if/when we get an API to set/unset the featured flag

Toggle Raid-ability of my channel (and minimum-amount threshold) through API I utilize the API endpoints to disable a few things while wrapping up my stream (such as disabling commands, channel point rewards, change chat modes, etc). Within this workflow, I recently realized it would be super helpful to be able to disable or configure the raid-ability status of my channel as well. It would also be helpful to be able to control the other parameters, such as the min/max amount of viewers in a raid, account age, etc. It would all be amazing to be able to control through the API in the event of a wrapup, raid abuse, etc.

Update Video through Helix The videos endpoint currently support GET requests to retrieve information about published videos and DELETE requests to remove videos. It would be nice to support PATCH requests to be able to modify a video's information, at least the title, description and thumbnail.
I like to edit my video's thumbnail at the end of my stream, and right now I need to do it manually in the Video Producer. I'd like to automate this process, and the absence of PATCH request prevents me from doing it so far.
Thanks in advance!

Twitch IRC tag "flags" is undocumented In the twitch IRC tags documentation, there are multiple instances and examples of the "flags" tag being returned. But it is not documented, its use is related to automod but to what extent is not known.

VOD/CLIPS Search field Add a search field where you can search for a specific Title of a VOD or CLIP in the whole History of someones Channel
Currently if you open up Past Broadcasts you can only search by Category. It would be nice if i can search for Titles aswell. For Example if i search for a specific Event which happened i could search for a Title and the result will show me all archived VODS with this Title.
Also for Clips it would make it much easier for Editors to search for a specific word and get all Clips he wants…

Get Channel Settings should be mod readable A mod can move people around the slots or add a user to a slot.
But a mod can't know how many slots there are, as the slot count is locked into the settings API

Allow localhost redirect URI to work regardless of the port If the redirect URI of a registered app is set to http://localhost the redirect URI check must work regardless of the port, so if I start the flow using redirect_uri param to "http://localhost:3000" this should work (same as Github is doing).
This will ease the development of desktop applications that requires oauth2 flow.

Retrieve moderation actions such as banned users with a channel moderator's OAuth token As far as I understand, for now, it is possible to ban/unban an user with a channel moderator's OAuth token, but it is still impossible to retrieve the channel's banned users list. It must be done with the broadcaster's OAuth token. Even though moderators have access to this information with the /user chat command.
If I want to check if an user is banned as a moderator via the API, here's what I currently need to do:
- perform a ban/unban request on the user
- check if it returned HTTP 200 or HTTP 400 (respectively meaning successful or user…3 votes -
Hidden/Personal Replys for bots Right now, chat bots that post messages in chat from things such as commands. will post the reply in chat, which can become quite spammy. The only solution to this right now is to use whispers, but there is a hard limit on that and doesn't work half of the time anyways. I propose that we should be able to have bots send replies that are hidden to everyone but the person that ran the command.

Extend Get VIPs to include the number of VIP slots a channel has Off the back of
https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/37563241-expose-vips-in-the-api
Being an endpoint now.
There is no endpoint for "how many VIP slots does the channel have"
as per the help doc
https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/Managing-Roles-for-your-Channel?language=en_US
it scales based on the unique chatters/build a community achievement.
So extend the Get VIPs endpoint to report the possible maximum VIPS for the channel I'm getting VIPs of.

API to retrieve a user's last *several* played games, not just the most recent Currently, an extension I've made can help show off a channel, including showing off their last played game. As this is one of the main reasons a person may be interested in following that streamer (based on the information that can be gathered by the API), the main way to improve upon that is to show more of these games.
It seems strange that there is a list of the user's last several played games freely available on their channel, but not to be retrieved via an API.3 votes -
Unvip doesn't trigger chat moderators actions pubsub topic reliably This should be cross checked to ensure the workflows trigger the expected/correct things across other parts of Twitch.

Drops Information API I would like to have an API to provide Drops information.
I would expect this to be secured behind the broadcasters token perhaps with a suitable scope.
Then this would allow me to see the current active scoring campaign(s) on a given channel.
This would allow me to provide easier bot commands with direct links to the relevant Twitch campaign page in an automated fashion. Which makes it easier for viewers to get to this data in an on demand fashion if they miss the popup for whatever reason. or the user just needs help from channel mods to understand…

Add "is_live" field in /channels endpoint response Currently, the only API endpoint which can return the current status of the channel is /search/channels, which contains a "is_live" boolean attribute.
So when I want to know if a channel (knowing its ID) is live through the API, the only way is by calling /channels first to get the channel name, then by calling /search/channels with the channel name, and finally sort the results to find the correct channel.
This is excessively time and ressources consuming, for both developpers and Twitch servers (two API call instead of just one). Would be great to add a "is_live" field in /channels…
