Offer an optional "category" custom reward property which Twitch using to automatically toggle enablement Submitting this on behalf of Jeff Fritz, which he mentioned while talking about a Channel Points streaming opportunity. I was talking about building an example that uses webhooks to flag when a specific category is selected for a stream so a developer knows when to enable or disable a channel points reward. His question was why Twitch doesn't handle that automatically.
If there was an optional category property that could be set when creating the custom reward, Twitch could potentially handle enabling/disabling a reward more reliably if the context for switching is a category update, which would probably be the…

It's impossible to control the "core" rewards Topic.
Cannot control highlight message/unlock emote rewards to enable/disable/change price or even list them etc via this API

Create a scope that allows all rewards to be modified from the API Developers only have access to get and update redemptions for the rewards they created.
There are some uses cases where a "god token" would be useful to manage all rewards on the channel regardless of this limitation, a scope can be created to allow access to all rewards.
A calling application may want to dynamically modify the price of the "modify emote" or "highlight my message" but won't be able to currently

Clone Custom Reward The ability to specify an existing reward that exists as a basis on creating a new reward would be useful. (This would clone the image/other set parameters as well to the new reward)
Use case:
Channel points to pick a "team" the user would be in.
Today there are three teams, so clone the pre set (disabled) one three times.
Tomorrow there will be four, so clone four times.Image would be the same for all four.

Provide uptime in channel information endpoint channel information endpoint provides "gameid", "gamename" and "title" for live streams, but it doesn't return the stream uptime as displayed below a live stream; would be useful to acquire this via API.

Provide a Helix endpoint to list reward templates created by user, and eventually see the (done, claimed, refunded) I would like to have a way to access a list of CHANNEL REWARDS available for a given channel. Without authentication would be nice, as anyone can see it in the website regardless.
Another additional data provided if the API call is authenticated with the said channel, would be to see the status of the claims (Accepted, pending, refunded) so that the projects based on those can know if it was accepted or if it can be safely removed, in case of a refund.

Search Categories: Relevance The Search Categories API doesn't seem to apply any "relevance" and direct matches are not often the first result.
https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#search-categories
Please apply relevance sorting.

Add where user left off in VOD (video bookmark) to Get Videos If the request (Get Videos) is authenticated by a user, return a response field video_bookmark which returns, in seconds, where the user left off in watching the video. Or it could be requested at a different endpoint by video ID or something.

Add duration in seconds to Get Videos The Get Videos API presents the duration as a string, example: "3h8m33s"
Please add an additional key of "duration_seconds" of the time of the video in seconds.

Improve "Get Streams" viewers count accuracy Many times, "viewer_count" response field doesn't change during several minutes (due to caching?). However, when you're watching a stream you can see how this data is refreshed each 20-25 seconds.
Benefit: Increase the precision of apps that use this field

Webhook for commercials Please provide a webhook so that authorised tools can collect Commercial status when an ad is run not via the Start Commercial API endpoint (ie Via chat or another authorised user)
So tool A will know not to try and run ads because user Fred just did
And Tool A doesn't want to run ads after the "retry_after" period as Fred ran the ads 20 minutes early. so we'd want to reset the start point to when Fred ran ads. For say when Tool A runs ads one per hour
For example

Extend Start commercial to include preroll data When streamers run ads, they'd like to know how long the PreRolls are disabled for.
Please extend https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#start-commercial to return preroll data
For example
{
"data": [{
"length" : 60,
"message" : "",
"retry_after" : 480
}]
}becomes
{
"data": [{
"length" : 60,
"message" : "",
"retryafter" : 480,
"prerollends": unixTimestamp

Was wondering if the dev team would consider adding a language filter for clips. Similar to the one implemented in the TwitchV5 API Old API allowed you to only get clips with a specified language. Since this is not in the new API, sorting clips through language, ends up eating through your requests. Since you have a limit of 100, about 1/3 of clips gathered will NOT be English, meaning you have roughly 66 clips. Would be nice if that could be added to allow requests to return more clips.

Am I on the home page It is useful to know if a streamer is on the home page.
Both from a
- internal (to the channel) statistical standpoint
- as a moderation standpoint (we are on the home page we should up the follow limit to avoid trolls or lower the follow limit to let people chat).
Please provide a way to
- determine if a given channel is on the homepage (by region)
- which slot it is in on that region
And if possible
provide this information has a webhook so we don't have to constantly poll for this information
Additionally we may use it as a…

Get moderators endpoint - remove need for broadcaster authorization The Helix /moderation/moderators endpoint currently requires an OAuth token from the broadcaster. Given you can just do /mods in any chat (not requiring authorization from the broadcaster), what is the point of requiring the authorization here?

Inconsistency between Channel Points API and PubSub Redemption Topic When PubSub returns rewards, it references
channel_id
whilst the Beta API Endpoints call itbroadcaster_id
.As a Developer, i prefer to be able to parse the same object from different sources in the same way. The discrepancy in naming prevents this / makes it slightly less performant as a distinction needs to be made.
