  1. I would like to be able to pin comments as a moderator on the twitch mobile app for apple. It will allow me to do this for the streamer when I am not home.

  2. Re-add an app access token based endpoint to get all chatters for a stream, in an anonymized form, for more detailed analytics.

To insure this data isn't used in a bad way, the user should be anonymized, so you only know that a user watches streamer a, b and c but not who this user is.

It would also be necessary to only allow this endpoint for streams with a viewer_count greater than 500 (or some other number) to insure the user not being identifiable.
By allowing to get all chatters for a stream, you can create more detailed analytics…

  5. If I call Get Videos with a user token with the scope "channel:manage:videos" I should be able to get that users unpublished vods.

I have a use case where I need to be able to delete an unpublished vod, but I can't see the unpublihsed vod to get the ID of it to then call delete

  6. Let us fetch the scheduled ads of a streamer so we can know when ads will be played

This should be scoped for safety

  7. I feel like I’ve seen this suggested before, but I’m unable to find another suggestion for this currently.

Anyway, right now Get Banned Users (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-banned-users) only works for the user that is authenticated, regardless of them being a moderator for other channels.

It would be very useful if the restriction on broadcaster_id matching the auth token’s user_id was softened and instead just require that user_id is a moderator for broadcaster_id.

  8. The collections API's were not migrated from v5 to Helix

I remembered this when I went to try and use the collection API's to list collections.

Please bring the collcetion API's to helix

  9. Add support for RFC8252 (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8252#section-7.1) which allows for users to specify custom scheme URI's for OAUTH callback urls. This would allow native application developers to not have to piggyback through a server and instead they can configure their applications to handle these schemes for confirming the oauth callback, for example my-app-name:/authorization?code=XXXXX

  10. I would really like if "animatedpreviewurl" could get included in the new API.
Previously/currently it was return from the old API endpoint Get Video (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/videos#get-video).

  11. Stop asking for my mobile number to register applications or for any reason at all.

You already get 2fa by sending the verification code through email. Sending it through mobile is an added security risk. It only makes it easier to compromise the account when hackers can just contact the mobile operator to be able to clone our mobile number.

The verification code through email is plenty. I have secure passwords on both email and twitch accounts, I can make sure they are safe, I can control that. I can't control what my mobile operator does with my SIM ID.…

  12. As soon as a user changes his name, the helix/users API can add an entry to the query of the old user name with the new one for a certain time.
This allows bots that work with the username instead of the ID to react faster to the name change

  13. Extend the banned API to allow filtering on the API by the moderator whom performed an action.

Third party tools may need to check the actions that a given moderator did, or ask the moderator to reconcile their bans/actions post stream with additional resoaning/comments in an external tool

  14. The new prediction/polls APIs are very welcome, but it would be useful to know who started/locked/ended a prediction.

Maybe to display info to chatters who to talk to about the rules of the current prediction or maybe to log potential abuse of predictions.

  15. The new GetChannelEmotes endpoint does not return the correct image url for gif emotes.

    For example on Lirik:

for an animated emote it returns the url:

    https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/emotesv2_53ff77f7c67641528739780d90568494/1.0

When in fact the correct url should of been:

    https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v2/emotesv2_53ff77f7c67641528739780d90568494/default/light/1.0

At the moment all gif emotes are given png url's.

This is the intended behavior. We will be updating the documentation to make it clearer that static images are returned and we will also be documenting the CDN URL schema to request different aspects of the emote (e.g. static/animated, light/dark/, etc)

  16. Right now there is a limitation of the Custom Rewards API that makes it so a client can only update the custom rewards (and their redemptions) that it has created. However, with EventSub we can receive notification of any Custom Reward, regardless of whether the client created it or not. This means you can write a client to take some action upon Custom Reward Redemption, link it up to a preexisting Custom Reward, and it will take action. But the Client will never be able to programmatically mark the Redemption as FULFILLED, because the client didn't create the Custom Reward…

  17. We're currently unable to CRUD User Notes from the Moderators Update last year. We also cannot read/issue a timeout or issue a ban via API.

  18. CRUD for bet as streamer
    CRUD for bet as viewer

    As streamer:

    • Being able to start/cancel a bet from endpoint
    • Being able to state who won from endpoint
    • Maybe get stats about the bet (invested coins, status, nb of participant, ...) (as Events or/and as HTTP API)

    As viewer:
    - Receive an Event when there is a new bet
    - Get bet info using endpoint (remaining time, title, bet A, bet B, nb of people who bet)
    - Place a bet using endpoint
    - Event win or lose

  19. Honestly this whole documentation is a bit sloppy. There should be clearer examples of using the APIs as I had to go Googling how the authentication actually works as the headers seem to be different than this suggests.

  20. Topic.

Cannot control highlight message/unlock emote rewards to enable/disable/change price or even list them etc via this API

    Example usages

We might turn off emote "buying" on a Thursday as we are about to load a WHOLE new Set in for a big game on Monday. Is one thought.

    But I can't automate them.

Also any number of tasks the streamer would like us (moderators/staff of the channel) to help manage but we can't if those rewards are API locked (and UI locked) out from "channel staff" being able to help manage

Additionally, I'll get asked by the streamer I…
