IRL Categories Descriptions When the initial IRL category was split into a dozen categories they were all presented with a description. None of these descriptions are present in any of the IRL categories. It would be helpful to make them available to aid streamers, especially newcomers, in picking the appropriate category for their streams. Unattended Streams Unattended streams are expanding. This includes anything where the streamer is never there or away for an extended time and there is little to no interaction with them. Some examples are: reruns, sleeping, AI powered, CCTV & scenery cams, traditional TV & radio stations, and anything else pre-recorded outside of Twitch. Thumbnail is stretched when not streaming in 16:9 At the moment the thumbnail of a stream that is not held in 16:9 is stretched and distorted.
I would suggest to but black bars on it or just crop in to fill the gaps instead of distorting the image.

Exception of a Game Mod to show in the Twitch category list as a Main Game We recently applied for a new game category in IGDB, however, it was identified and accepted as a Mod for a very similar game.
We would like an exception for this and for the game we applied to be available in the categories so that the game's content creators can find and define that they are playing this game.

New IRL Category: Entertainment & Variety Shows Content creators have really stepped it up and came up with a variety of great shows. However, they need to branch away from Just Chatting because this type of content is not about doing small talk or interacting with their viewers. Rename "Politcs" category to "Current Events, News & Politics" There's a considerable amount of streamers who cover this type of content and this is not just small talk, it's not just chatting. These are more meaningful topics being covered and are worthy of having a more comprehensive category. Most streamers avoid the Politics category because its scope is too narrow. They're drawn to Just Chatting where most of the "appealing" content takes place in the hopes they will get noticed. Browseable Directories Currently each directory shows only recommendations. Not everyone is interested in them. It would be helpful if we were able to browse directories if we so wanted to. We can only browse all categories and live channels. We need to be able to browse directories by only showing categories and live channels within them. Should be able to set our own default sorting We should be able to set our own default sorting instead of having to change it every time. I will ALWAYS switch from recommended to viewers high to low, every time. And it's pretty annoying having to change it every time instead of being able to just set my preference for it and have it automatically set to what I like, instead of what you want me to see.

Row of clickable tags on each page This will make it a lot quicker and easier to use tags. Currently we can only search for them manually which is time consuming and cumbersome. This feature already existed for a while in the Music directory until custom tags were introduced and broke it. There used to be a "Browse by Trending Genres" row at the top of the page. Turn that into a global feature to show on all pages, but for tags instead of genres, and let viewers choose between favorite tags, recently/frequently used tags, and recommended/suggested tags. Lower res options for non-affiliates Non-affiliates can only share their default resolution while streaming. (When I started, this was over 1080p.) So putting yourself in the viewer's shoes, if that resolution is quite high (720p or higher) then you virtually cannot watch that streamer on your mobile device. If you tried, you would buffer a lot, get frustrated, and leave. This uniquely negatively impacts non-affiliates. Please add at least one low resolution option for viewers whose setups cannot match the streamer's default.

Increase the maximum number of tags I noticed a lot of streamers like to use tags to describe things like their identity, community, shared values, etc. to bring like-minded viewers to their stream. Even though the maximum number of tags allowed on a stream at the moment is 10, sometimes that number isn’t enough for a streamer to properly convey what to expect from their stream. If we could increase the maximum number of tags allowed to even 15 or even 12, that would help so much in streamer discoverability.
