1. Game Jam & Amazon Games

   To whom it may concern, on behalf of an independent developer fond of videogames.

   Regardless of the use of my words and whether a similar strategy has already been considered in this regard, I present to you the occurrences in my head that arose after a certain event.

   It turns out that I recently participated in a Game Jam that was organized in itch.io, an open marketplace for independent digital game creators.

   The name of this "contest" was Paint Jam 2021 in the following web address you can find everything related to this event https://itch.io/jam/paint-jam-2021.

   Video games were made in relation to a theme, in this case the Campbell’s Soup.

   Clearly there was no commercial purpose behind it, but I came up with the doubt, what if some company takes advantage of this idea to do some marketing or to find talent?

   So, I started thinking about how to improve this idea and found something particular. I remembered that Twitch is a video game streaming platform, and very soon the E3 and alternate events are just as important environments approaching the video game exhibition. Additionally, Twitch is part of Amazon and Amazon is in turn planning to enter the game development market.

   So, what if taking advantage of Twitch, Amazon collects information from potential game creators or also to advertise its brands and partners, using peculiar themes for fan creations?

   The only thing that would go into discussion is whether to use itch.io as a means for the call and subsequent showroom for such events or to use one of the gears that are part of Amazon.

   So far comes my vision of something plausible for the brand, in advance I thank whoever has paid attention to my words and who has a good day.

   Independientemente de que uso se le de a mis palabras y de si ya se ha planteado una estrategia similar al respecto presento ante usted las ocurrencias en mi cabeza que surgieron luego de cierto evento.

   Resulta que recientemente he participado en un Game Jam que se organizó en itch.io, un mercado abierto para creadores digitales independientes de videojuegos.

   El nombre de este “concurso” fue Paint Jam 2021 en la siguiente dirección de internet se encuentran todo lo referente a dicho evento https://itch.io/jam/paint-jam-2021.

   Se realizaron videojuegos en relación con un tema, en este caso la Sopa Campbell’s.

   Claramente no hubo ningún fin comercial detrás de ello, pero me surgió la duda, ¿qué tal si alguna empresa aprovecha está idea para hacer algo de marketing o para encontrar talento?

   Entonces me puse a pensar en cómo mejorar está idea y encontré algo particular. Recordé que Twitch es una plataforma de streaming de videojuegos, además muy pronto se acerca el E3 y eventos alternos igual de importantes entornos a la exposición de video juegos. Adicionalmente, Twitch forma parte de Amazon y Amazon a su vez está planteando entrar al mercado del desarrollo de juegos.

   Entonces, ¿Qué tal si aprovechando Twitch, Amazon recolecta información de potenciales creadores de juegos o también para hacer publicidad de sus marcas y socios, utilizando temáticas peculiares para las creaciones de los aficionados?

   En este caso Twitch sería un medio ya sea para que los creadores hagan streaming mientras desarrollan o solo como medio de exposición para los mejores trabajos.

   Lo único que entraría en discusión es si utilizar itch.io como medio para la convocatoria y posterior sala de exhibición para este tipo de eventos o utilizar alguno de los engranajes que forman parte Amazon.

   Hasta aquí llega mi visión de algo plausible para la empresa, de antemano agradezco a quien haya prestado atención a mis palabras y que tenga un buen día.
