"Coworking and Study" Category
Last year, you all implemented a "coworking" tag for WFH, study, and remote working streams.
All of us in the coworking community really appreciated the tag! It helped users and viewers find streamers to study alongside, especially in a time when everyone was working from home. Even now, a year and a half out from the tag introduction, many users are still working from home, looking for coworking streams to pass the time and find company in.
Unfortunately, the addition of custom tags—while innovative and helpful for many streamers generally—has presented a problem for the coworking community. It's no longer easy for coworking streamers to use their designated tag to aid discoverability.
There are, after all, SO MANY iterations of "coworking" that could be used: "coworking," "co working," "study," "WFH," "costudy," "working," "studying," working...." and the list goes on.
This lack of clarity has effectively nullified the benefits that the designated "coworking" tag gave us back in early 2021, muddying the waters and hampering discoverability for coworking streamers.
ALL THAT SAID, now that custom tags have been introduced and the discoverability environment has changed for us, it would be incredible to get a designated "Coworking and Studying" category for coworking streamers to live in. Not only would it help viewers find us, it would also help us discover other new coworking streamers much easier—especially when not many know how to use the tag system efficiently.
Thanks so much for considering!

The co-working community is a distinct and unique subset of creators that deserve their own category to make it easier for coworking streamers to find each other, and for coworking viewers to find the streams they are looking for.

Improving browsing, filtering, and searching can be achieved by implementing a more intuitive user interface, incorporating advanced search algorithms, using machine learning for personalized recommendations, and providing clear categories and tags for efficient filtering.

This is very cool because thanks to this tag, it was easier for me to adapt to studying at home. No one could have imagined that things would go so far and that we would be studying and working from home for so long. Also, because I was studying at home, I discovered the use of an essay service https://royalwriter.co.uk/ , which made my studies easier and added even more time to my day. In general, after studying at home, I understood what time management is and how to use it properly. Now I have everything planned out and thus, I even manage to combine study and work.

As a student, I strive to enhance my academic performance by adopting a comprehensive approach that encompasses effective study habits, active engagement, and a positive mindset. I dedicate focused time to reviewing course materials, actively participate in class discussions, and seek clarification from instructors when needed. Additionally, I get help with university assignments on https://ca.papersowl.com/assignment-writing-help because this expert assistance is fit with my requirement for only professional writers. Also, I prioritize a healthy lifestyle, ensuring adequate sleep and maintaining a balanced diet to support my cognitive abilities. By consistently implementing these strategies, I aim to achieve academic excellence and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.

There's a collection called "Reading, Studying, and Coworking" on the Main/Discover page. Collections are okay... but having a category called the same would be even better. We need more IRL categories to help break away from Just Chatting. Streamers are using it way too much for unrelated content and it's become way too crowded. It's frustrating and time consuming to find a stream worth watching in that category. Not all streamers are using tags to help themselves get discovered easier.
EDIT: Since my last post I discovered there's also a community for Creative Writing which overlaps with this one. I'd suggest including them as well here to help them grow. Grouping similar content together will help these niche communities get noticed. Hence, the new category name could be "Reading, Writing, Studying & Coworking".

This would be a great category. I appreciate finding streamers who do this and am hoping to utilize this for myself, too. This is quite the community and I'm glad other people use it and find it useful.

I'd like to point out the concept of "body doubling." This is basically when someone works on a task, or studies, alongside someone else who may be doing something completely different. Even though they're not technically collaborating, it's proven that this can be a vital technique for focusing and getting work done, even just knowing someone else is working beside you and wants you to do well. Twitch could really be helping many people's productivity and focus by implementing this category.

Yes please! "Just chatting" doesn't cut it, as it sometimes suggest streamers that are indeed just chatting (catching up with stuff, talking about random stuff, etc). Coworkers aren't technically "just chatting", they are working, and having that tag can be misleading at best (although it's not their fault).

I plan to start streaming in the future, and one of the first things I did was read through the community guidelines. Listed at the very bottom, Twitch asks that we accurately label our content to the best of our ability, which is tricky for us in the coworking community since we do not have a category to belong to. Although we have tags, I know that having the designated category would help more effectively. I hope Twitch can do this for us!

@KaiLondo the CoWorker category refers to a game named CoWorker on Steam, it is an indie action game that does not involve any sort of co-working, studying or productivity. Converting the category into that would leave a gap for that game whenever someone plays it, therefore having a new category would make more sense in my opinion :)
Glad to hear that study and co-working have been of help to you among many others!

There is Literally a Category for a Game called COWORKER, that no one ever streams. Some streamers used it before we got the tag in 2021. Why not just convert this category to that.
Only Reason I have Turbo is for study/co-working streams.
Please make this happen, as Remote work and online Schooling is here to stay. -

CoWorking is absolutely a category that we need on this platform. Lots of people turn to twitch and other live platforms to find bodydoubles to help them focus on their tasks. An official category here would be REALLY helpful for us to find each other and share resouces.

These streams are incredibly important to me and make up the majority of my viewership, including looking into streaming this type of content myself. It is difficult to find other streamers in this category without a designated category tag, especially across different timezones/coverage.
