Twitch category name collision
Currently two (or more) games with the exact same name (usually reboots) share the same category in Twitch. And all the cover art, description, tags are taken from only one of the games. This usually means that the other game(s) effectively completely lacks a page on twitch, despite being a completely different game and having unique gameplay. Can something be done about this?
TGBS has an entire hour long video on why the two games shouldn't be considered identical and interchangeable, what more of a reason do you need to implement this change?
PLEASE theyre not the same game
The PS2 game sees a lot more activity than the PS4 game as well, i think a separation should be warranted. It should be Ratchet & Clank and Ratchet & Clank (2016)
Please do this
please do this!!
In 2016 Insomniac released Ratchet & Clank for PS4 with the same name as the original Ratchet & Clank for PS2 released in 2002. In IGDB they are separate games, but because of the naming collision it seems Twitch is prioritizing the latest released game. The original Ratchet & Clank still has a decent amount of players and it's a very separate game from the reimagined PS4 game.
Is it possible to resolve this naming collision manually?
The two games are not the same, the PS4 game is a reimagining of the PS2 game with a different game engine and a different storyline. It's not a remake or an HD edition.
I'd like to stress that both games are in IGDB, but only the latest game shows up as a category on Twitch (probably due to the naming collision).
It's 2021 and it still doesn't have a category. Rather frustrating to be honest. I dont know which to choose to tag my game with. Guess I'll go with the 2013 one and put in my title that its the original.
Literally about to start playing the original Tomb Raider and spotted this myself! The original game is still missing as far as I can see.

Why does a game created few days ago and named the same as another game, overlap the category for an already established game?
The broken category channel that once had 2.5k followers now got reset and the description of the first page mentioned : https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Zero%20Hour
This is just outraging that this can even happen.
Tomb Raider (1996) is streamed by many streamers on Twitch, including myself at times. However, lately the Tomb Raider (1996) category has been removed and the only remaining one is the 2013 title. This means that if you are streaming Tomb Raider (1996) you have to list it under the 2013 title.
Can we have the Tomb Raider (1996) category back so that streams can correctly categorize it? On IGDB there is two titles for both the 1996 version and 2013 version. Please also bare in mind that both titles are seperate games, and the 2013 title is NOT a remake of the 1996 title.
same issue with Ninja Gaiden 2004 and Ninja Gaiden Black... both removed and now only Ninja Gaiden exists, but thats the NES game... total baffoons
Same issue with Super Mario Bros 2 and The lost levels (Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan) plus a few hundred more examples
There are games that have same names but are very different games. It would be HUGE to have separate categories for each game. They could be differentiated by date or other fields.
For example there are 5 TMNT games all called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on IGDB, but are all very different games. Yet currently there are only 2 Categories on Twitch with this name, and very confusing to find the actual game.
Please fix this for communities that are focusing on particular games and not the franchise.
yes why is this missing?? wtf
