Twitch category name collision
Currently two (or more) games with the exact same name (usually reboots) share the same category in Twitch. And all the cover art, description, tags are taken from only one of the games. This usually means that the other game(s) effectively completely lacks a page on twitch, despite being a completely different game and having unique gameplay. Can something be done about this?

These need to be merged (including the third Adventure Mode page). It's all ongoing development of the same game. Also need to ensure the icon is the newer logo, as that's what most people will recognise (not the old one with the black and green).

Dwarf Fortress is Dwarf Fortress, who needs multiple Categories for multiple versions of the same Game? Or even just another game mode for that matter?
-
MetalHeadUnleashed commented
Merge them all back together including Adventure mode. The streamer can enter that as part of their stream title.

Only one directory because it's only one game. It's silly to add additional wiki pages for different modes of the same game as well.

NeroPrime commented
This is one fake and should only have one directory

Imagine not trusting the publisher of a game, and instead telling them that a bunch of random people on the internet probably have a better idea about these directories all being the same game. Merge "Dwarf Fortress: Adventure Mode" in as well.

If this doesn't get merged, we will need categories for every update of every game.

It's one game, so it doesn't need multiple categories. Fix what Kitfox is asking to make it better for the streamers, better for the players, and ultimately better for the Twitch portion of the revenues.

Please listen to the publishers, streamers, and community. Merge the categories.

No reason for the indie games database to create so many entries for the same game.

Did you know if you have different game modes in a game, twitch makes multiple games.
Can't wait for 27 entries on a FPS game like call of duty for every single/co-op/multiplayer game mode a game has.
Cuz uh, that's how twitch do, we don't know why. We don't know how.

this issue is making things hard for both users and streamers interested in dwarf fortress.

Why are you even making us jump through these hoops? This is a basic thing that the creator of the game told you to fix.
Maybe listen to the dev of the game that its the same game and merge them. -

Can’t imagine how incompetent is the person responsible for Twitch’s categories. Can’t imagine how incompetent is the whole platform to lead anyone to such situation.
