add tags for different religions

add tags for religions such as judaism, islam, sikhism, hinduism, buddhism etc. to allow streamers to create safe spaces for others like them in their streams.

Hey all!

We have gone ahead and added the following religious tags to Twitch:
-Agnostic
-Atheist
-Buddhist
-Christian
-Hindu
-Jewish
-Muslim
-Pagan
-Sikh
-Taoist

Thank you so much for the feedback about these tags. We totally understand that this does not cover all religions so if you would like to see a specific tag added please feel free to create a new idea and we can look into adding it to the site as well.

    I think having tags based on religious beliefs are just as important as any of the other tags that were recently added. Some people don’t base watching someone due to ****** orientation or race. Some people watch someone who shares the same religious belief. If other channels can have safe havens for people who watch them and can identify it with tags, then I think religious people should get the same opportunity. Notice how I didn’t say one specific religion? If one gets it then all should it get it. I’d hate for this to be twisted as some biased (fill in the blank religion) fighting for unequal opportunity.

    This may get denied for some reason pertaining to something like bullying or community separation. That same ideology could be placed on ANY of the new tags that were added recently.

    Yes! I am new to Twitch after jumping from IG Live. I do LOVE the many aspects and perks to Twitch but I am known for witchcraft/spirituality on all of my content. As a noob to Twitch I would appreciate tags such as:

    witchcraft, pagan, runes, runereadings, divination, spirituality, chakras, tarot, crystal heling, magick, etc...

    C est comme donner ta religion au public et te donner une étiquette. Je ne pense pas que ce soit une bonne idée. Après je comprends ton envie mais mieux vaut garder cela privé ^^

    Love this idea sm! As a Christian I'm often trying to find Christian streamers to watch, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. This would help a ton for everyone!

    This would create a wonderful space for viewers to find representation and streamers that are just like them! It's a wonderful idea.
