Diabetes tag
As a type 1 diabetic I quite enjoy meeting other diabetics and discussing the various challenges and experiences we share.
It's helpful to discover other type 1 diabetics, as it combats the sense of isolation you can experience, and often can help normalise the struggles.
There are approximately 1.6m Americans with type 1 diabetes, in my short time on twitch I have personally encountered 10 fellow type 1 diabetics which I believe shows a relatively high density on the platform.
I suggest both a type-1diabetes tag and a type-2-diabetes tag. I feel it's important to differentiate between the two and to also use the word "diabetes" as opposed to "diabetic".
Hey all!
Excited to share that we now have Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes tags live on Twitch.
Thank you so much for this feedback and please let us know if there are any other tags you would like to see added to the site!

As a company that has done so much to support ableism and inclusivity, introducing these flags should be a top priority

T1/T2 tags should be an absolute priority! The community surrounding diabetics is so powerful, and should be represented through twitch!

Honestly I was really sad to see a Diabetes tag wasn't included in the last update when there was a lot of other disabilities listed! We'd like visibility & representation as well.

PLEASE! Being T1D is so lonely. Talking to other T1D in chat while streaming that understand what you are going through, you just cant put that into words how reassuring it is.

I was surprised that there was not a tag already with how many people it effects, and how gaming helps a lot of them too. Fellow type-1 here as well and think it's a great idea too.
