Merge "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" categories
Most streamers are streaming in the first category and actually playing the second title anyway. There's no reason to have separate categories, and it just splits the audience and the content creators. The SSE version is just a 64 bit platinum build of the original, kind of like a redux or remastered version of other games. It's the same game.

I've never seen this many people agree so completely about anything related to Skyrim.
Please Twitch, take that very very seriously and merge these categories. It's long past due. -

This would help so much. It would help bring more fans in the community together instead of having this silly split!

This is a community is for Skyrim as a whole. The version of Skyrim simply does not matter as it is still Skyrim. There are many huge names of the community commenting here. Individuals who have made this community what it is. The ones that are responsible for it continuing to thrive.
Separation only creates a greater divide and hurts the totality of the community. Listen to the individuals here. Listen to the community

Please combine the categories as they are the same game, and there isn't a reason to be split.

The only thing two separate groups does is dilute the numbers of the fan base. It is the same game. Skyrim is Skyrim. By this logic, you would need to make a new category every time a game installs a new patch.

These are the same game. The same dragons, the same Dragonborn. One is just a 64bit release.
Please help the Skyrim Twitch community by merging these two categories <3

It makes no sense on why it isn't in the same category already. Splitting smaller communities never works well.

Agree with everyone here, but in addition will just throw out that this is not a feature request, it's a bug fix. According to Twitch's own standards for game categories, prohibited categories include:
"- Games that are considered an alternative version of another game.
- Games that are considered an expansion pack, bundle, DLC, mod, standalone episode, or season of another game."Since Twitch derives categories from IGDB the appearance of Special Edition as a category appears to be a result of erroneously tagged data there.
