Add a Military Veteran Tag
A veteran tag would allow the various veteran streaming communities to find each other, and assist each other better. Many veterans stream to help others fighting PTSD, trauma, and veteran suicide.
We’re really excited to announce that we now have tags for “Veteran” and “Disabled Veteran” along with more than 350 additional tags.
For more information, you can take a look at our blog post at https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/. Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice!
As a fellow Veteran myself who confides in other Veteran streamers, This needs to come to light.
Seriously, its frustrating that this isn't a thing yet.
I'm all in on this idea as well. While there are networking methods out there to connect veterans with one another, they're extremely niche and not at all advertised. A simple tag on Twitch would help bridge what feels like a very wide gap.
Twitch, you can make this happen. Many veterans depend on YOU!!
Completely agree @Retired 8404. I also search out vets in games that I play. I know sometimes when any of us are having a down moment it helps to have someone to talk to that has been in your boots. Event if it is just to chat and talk about the game we are playing. This has always helped me shift fire on the direction my mind was heading.
It USED to be there. Ask a Twitch staff why it was removed and theIt comment was something to the nature of we are trying to be more inclusive and adding the LGBT tag “to see how it goes”. It is PERFECTLY understandable to add the LGBT tag in the name of inclusiveness, but wtf does taking the Veteran tag off have anything to do with it?
Do they not realize how many vets, vet families, friends and loved ones search to support other vets? Do you not realize how many of us actually stream? Think Twitch is really missing the mark on this one.

Hooah!!! Let's get this done!
With the growing use of gaming as therapy for many combat veterans, there is a growing subculture of veterans on Twitch as well as other streaming platforms. In order for us to find our brothers and sisters in arms, this would be a great addition to the tag listings.
