Add a Military Veteran Tag
A veteran tag would allow the various veteran streaming communities to find each other, and assist each other better. Many veterans stream to help others fighting PTSD, trauma, and veteran suicide.
Hey All!
We’re really excited to announce that we now have tags for “Veteran” and “Disabled Veteran” along with more than 350 additional tags.
For more information, you can take a look at our blog post at https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/. Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice!

This would be a stellar way to help bring veterans across the various streaming communities together. As a veteran myself, I am always interested in ways to help connect our vets with the support and community so many of us desperately need. At my lowest, all I ever wanted was a renewed sense of community, of belonging...I found it, and want to share the joy I have found here with those who find themselves a bit lost and alone. This is doable, and it has the potential to positively impact so many lives. Let's do this!

I, a US Marine Corps vet, would love to see this come to reality. Veteran support is huge and finding like minded community members to build a greater community of vets and vet supporters to foster hope, help and love. Support our vets! They need it oh so much.

It’s easy to add verification in for service members, use ID.me. It’s proven, it works, and many veterans already use it for other things to verify their military service. You want people on a platform that can literally move mountains and make people step back off the edge... veterans can do that and they do it proudly, everyday, without anticipation of receiving anything in return. A tag is a simple gesture to welcome them in and make them feel like part of something bigger.

I support this 100%! Mental health is overlooked in a lot of ways but twitch can help people dramatically through gaming and other avenues by adding the MVP style tag!

While I feel this should be done not just here but in many venues... so that we can more easily identify each other and congregate. I worry about the phonies that will abuse this feature until someone realizes that ID.me integration is not just useful.
