Small Streamer Support
Twitch is increasingly seeing success in large, full-time partnered streamers who seem to be growing in mainstream recognition and opportunities, but what is or can Twitch do to help dedicated small streamers get visibility to avoid a YouTube-like situation where it's only for the celebrities.

Well you have 7.9k followers.
And i can barely get known as a smaller streamer cause all these YouTubers are allowed to come over to the platform instead of streaming on their own platform. All the YouTubers get partnered instantly if they are popular or big.
This is betting the purpose of small streamers streaming anymore.
I thought about giving up and I joined twitch back in like 2012 and I still can't get a viewer base no matter how much I change my streams up. -

You could help small streamers more instead of all these big streamers, popular YouTubers moving over to twitch.
How am I as a small streamer suppose to get big when all these YouTubers are sitting on 10-20k viewers.
None of the viewers on twitch are going to search for someone smaller than us.
So how do we get bigger if you won't put our channels out there? The Presentation could be better at helping small streamers.

I wish, there is some ways you can support small streamers to make them big. I saw what you did with the "boost this stream" thing and I think that the big streamers will get more benefits from that than the small ones. I hope that you can make something that can really help small streamers.

one thing I would love to do is when I do become a big streamer is help smaller streamers become bigger and help people grow would it be possible to have some big streamers say something while they stream be like hey while I have you here check out this streamer, I would if I became big, it's a tough battle and it can be done with the help of others. Just thought I would share that.

Channels dedicated to the popular games such as PUBG, Warzone, Fortnite etc. Allowing for us smaller streamers to play and stream the games we all enjoy and have a chance to be discovered, rather than having to stream smaller games and stream in hope that we get noticed.

highlight smaller streamers, have small streamers put up in the top discover every once in a while

Imagine if twitch implemented a clip sharing format similar to tiktok allowing creators to post clips. The. People could find your channel through an FYP style page!

If twitch implemented some sort of clip sharing format like tiktok it would allow smaller streamers to share cool clips and give them a better chance to be “found” by viewers

Find ways to promote low end streamers instead of high end streamers so low end streamers can find ways to grow their channels

Was wondering if you guys were ever going to implement anything for small affiliates to share and grow there community’s? Like maybe a official twitch form to post your stream when your live and also find and help out other streamers in the same position.

I have 30,000 fans on this "other network" but on here you dont even give me a view. f!@# this app. you need to support the hard working people who stream every day not just your "contracts"

I feel that twitch is really lacking in its ability to help smaller streamers grow on the platform. I feel if twitch implements a better algorithm for finding less popular streams like the ones on YouTube and TikTok it could see a lot more creators sticking around for a lot longer.
Thanks,

It would be great if there was just a new streamer category or something. I actually look for small streams when I am not streaming myself, and it proves to be very challenging.

If a person likes to watch call of duty it should recommend smaller streams that play the game to help small streams and help views see a different variety of streamers instead of seeing big streamers play that certain game

i feel like twitch should add a small streamer section I've been streaming for over 3 years and put out $1000 or more to make my stream better but no can see it because no one can find me so cant we have this but we could make it a requirement of 300 hundred to 1000 followers to set a limit it would make more fun for new streamers to be recognized

smaller streamers aren't recommended or put out enough for their channels to grow making it hard for new streamers
