Filtering/Sorting/Favoriting followed channels
I like the idea of being able to just do basic sorting on my followed channels. Instead of prioritizing viewer count I could sort alphabetically, by most recently followed, etc.
For filtering, I'd like to see the ability to filter by channels I'm subscribed to, category they are streaming, maturity, etc.
I'd also like to be able to favorite my followed channels to easily see streams I watch most often or want to prioritize. They could be sorted to the top of the list, or posted in a separate section of the Following list.

I wrote a chrome extension to address the need to filter followed channels. It's available at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/following-filters-for-twi/amohodpmokmofacdgfdlijdcnjddjpga?hl=en&authuser=0
Feel free to create issues on the project's github repository if you encounter problems/bugs: https://github.com/adamburich/Twitch-Following-Filters/issues
For now all this allows is showing/hiding particular games or categories - I could add additional functionality in the future.

Please allow sorting followed channels by most recently watched.

It's absolutely wild to me that there's no alphanumeric sort on the follows list. It's a huge pain to find a less viewed channel in my list to go into their vods or wait for their stream to start.
This is literally the most basic sort method in the universe. Everything doesn't have to be algorithmic or about view numbers my dudes.

Allow users to rearrange their followed channels so they appear in a specific order. And/Or set favorites so they appear at top of the followed list.
I dont follow many channels but i follow enough to where i have to expand down (in the quick viewer) to see all the streams I do follow. I want to be able to rearrange the order my followed channels appear in, in case they arent live but i still want to get to their channel easily without having to click "view more".
or be able to set favorites so they appear at the top of the list

Hallo,
könnte man an der linken Seite die Follower und Abos getrennt sehen?Man hätte eine bessere Übersicht und wüsste auch schnell, wenn man ein Abo geschenkt bekommen hat.

Hello,
could you see the followers and subscriptions separately on the left side? You would have a better overview and would also know quickly if you have received a gift subscription.
Greetings

A separate notification category for channels you're subbed to, as well as a spot at the top on your "Live Channels" list for everyone you subscribe to.
Basically, I follow a lot of streamers, big & small, which means I get a lot of Notifications & my sidebar is a mess. This is generally fine and I understand how it works or why it makes mistakes. But in general, I really only care about about 3 small streamers (which I pay to sub to) whose "live" notifications get lost in the sea and then they get pushed to the bottom of my sidebar, hidden behind "Show More."
I want the platform to prioritize these streamers. I understand that it would also prioritize the 11 gift subs I have and 2 1-month subs I bought, but this would still be preferable to the absolute ocean I currently have to deal with.
I also think this brings Twitch closer to the feeling of being a real Television subscription package. The channels that I choose to watch and pay for are my personal package that I subscribe to, so having a dedicated channel selection list and notifications for only these channels is a much more personalized experience than just alerting me about every single channel I might even consider watching and filling my "TV Guide" with every show I have ever watched.

This would be the most beneficial change Twitch could make to the platform to increase discovery and prevent viewer upwards-pooling. I believe, whilst the largest streamers are very successful, it would benefit Twitch and its content creators to direct people to content they will interact with, not simply just idly watch.

No idea what APi means, maybe this goes there. Anyway, many Twitch viewers follow a TON of channels and I think it would be helpful to have something similar to a Bookmarks Tree for follows. As an example, I follow mostly ASMR, but I also follow several gamers, and several musicians. having 1 MONSTER list to scroll through sucks, what if the follow list could have sub-zones (sorted by either Twitch or assembled by the user themselves) to keep like-areas I follow together.

Currently, the "Followed Channels" sidebar doesn't identify subscribed channels separately. I'd prefer any live, subscribed channels to be listed at the top of anything else. Either that, or have a separate "Subscribed Channels" group that is above the "Followed Channels" group. I want to be able to see and return to the channel(s) I'm actively supporting!
Thanks!

A new section above "Followed Channels" that reads "Subscribed Channels" or something would be great

Ability to favorite the streams you are mostly watching at the moment. I for example follow over 800 channels, and from those I watch some streams more than others. I would like a feature, that allows you to favorite by adding a star next to the favorited stream. And the favorited streams would be on top of the live followed channels list.

If I subscribe, I want to see that streamer listed at the top of the left nav! Subscriptions are key, this would keep viewers connected to their subscribed streamers.

Currently to see the channels I sub to I have to go onto a seperate tab, and then wade through the other channels I follow. A list of the channels you're subbed to should be on the first page, before any of the Suggestions for new channels. I pay to be subbed and it's not unreasonable to think that I should get easy access to those channels.

On the left side of the Twitch page, where you see everyone you follow that is live, I would like it to be so that the channels you subscribe to show up at the top of the list when they are live.

Browsing Channels or looking at channels being Followed that are Live, have an option/filter to sort that includes currently Subscribed Channels listed first.

I realized that there are similar ideas in 'Discovery: Browsing and Searching'. I will comment on these with further ideas.

Hey there!
I follow a lot of streamers who stream only occasionally, which do not appear in the Followed Channels list in the sidebar, while other big streams (which stream almost 24/7) are always visible. I'd appreciate a feature to prioritize certain streamers, filter them by set rules (e.g. hide them when they play a game I'm totally not interested in) or hide them completely.
I think this way the Followed Channels could be improved a lot and would actually improve my experience on Twitch.
