Suggested streams not only by highest viewer count
The browsing itself is great, I like that we can browse separate subcategories (for example in Gaming) like Shooter, Action & Adventure, Role Playing etc but it would be great if the shown streams weren't all the highest viewer counts. Yeah it increases the discoverability but only if you're in the top 5-10.
Maybe there is a way to display random streams from that category/subcategory? A mix of different channels would be great so streamers with lower view counts don't disappear. Especially because expanding the subcategory only gives you a few more streams, not all of them. Normally we can sort by highest to lowest, lowest to highest or recently started; would be great to see something similar. Letting us filter by tags would be great, too.

make it so you can sort streamers into a favorite section so even if they have a small number of viewers you can still see them at top

Why is there no low-to-high search in Just Chatting? With Recommended or High-to-Low only it makes it nearly impossible for a new streamer to be discovered.

When on the Browse page, the right sidebar "You Follow" offline list should be sortable, with the following options:
1) Channel Name
2) Channel Popularity
3) Date Last Streamed. -

The Twitch app on Playstation does not support external keyboards outside of the PLaystation pop-up keyboard. That alone makes the app not worth using. Can't chat typing >2WPM.

The way the sorting works now it rewards streams for being popular, so the rich get richer. That's fine, because popularity is a mark of quality entertainment, but I'd like to see other sorting options that showcase smaller streamers for working hard and building fun communities.

Twitch should add a 'sort by' option when searching through streams. So when at the 'Following' section, you could have an option for 'Viewers Low-High, vice versa' or 'Most recently started'.
When going through the directory, you could have 'Viewers Low-High, vice versa', 'Most recently', 'Subscribed channels ONLY', 'Non subbed channels only'.
And for the music category people could list streams as 'Pop', 'Guitar', 'Alternative', 'Mixed', etc
Also, on the front page of Twitch there should be an option to replace the featured streamer will a random followed stream or a stream of choice, when it's offline, it'll just show the featured stream or no stream at all perhaps.
just an idea!
