Hello, a VR category would be much appreciated I think. Many streamers share vr content and few viewers manage to find them because few people know the names of vr games.
However interested in seeing vr streams it would be cool to be able to stream more easily and find these same streams just as simply by a simple VR or VR games category.

Virtual Reality does not have as many big games, and as a result using specific game categories (which often do not exist) limits discoverability a great deal. A virtual reality category would help resolve this issue by taking this broad group of games with just a few streams dedicated to them and collapsing them into a single category.

The VR tag unfortunately is not effective because it is used by a large number of other streams such as VTubers, PNGTubers, and VRChat users using a monitor.

Twitch has enough problems with discoverability, this would be a huge boon for those of us that want to stream VR games. There's almost no point streaming VR unless its vrchat or beatsaber at this point.
Please add this, it's such a small change that could have such a big impact.

If Twitch wants to encourage small developers, this is how you do it for VR. VR is still a growing ecosystem, and many games may not warrant their own category due to simplicity or lack of depth. (I have no idea how a game gets listed). But effectively hiding their visibility is just wrong. Tags are not the same for discovery. And aren't respected as well when content changes.

I am a streamer and I think it would be great if there was a virtual reality category. Just a channel for all virtual reality games to be located for easy identification.

Would be nice to have a V-tuber category as many use the VR tag which makes people actually streaming harder to discover. There's also a few I've seen streaming nothing to do with VR with the tag which adds to the problem.

This would help out the VR community in so many ways. We can not only discover new games and streamers, but we can also get discovered as well.

In my opninion this is a really good idea, but I think we have to do a lot to reach this.
The number of VR useres is increasing a lot in the moment and it will increase a lot in the future.

This wouldn't be a problem if you could search by tags, but even if you allow users to search by tags you will have people tagging their streams as "VR" when they aren't.

I agree with Ruirize when he says that VRChat and Beatsaber is the only way to get visibility on Twitch because I have been streaming H3VR to nobody but as soon as I switch to Beat Saber I start to pull in viewers.

Adding to this; I was one of the early streamers making use of the Virtual Reality category.

It's really painful how much a lack of a general "VR content" top-level category hides an entire group of creators.

It seems like you either have to stream VRChat or Beat Saber to get any visibility on today's Twitch.

Twitch will do everything possible to hide VR they DO NOT SUPPORT and wont.
2 weeks ago there was a Oculus VR category that i started using. It have now been removed, They removed the previous Virtual Reality category when adding TAGS which no one uses correctly. just looking today we have people playing COD, Watch Dogs 2, ART, all tagged as VR, And now with the popular rise of Vtubers they are hijacking that tag when IMO thats not VR.
I Email Twitch every month with this request and nothing has changed in over a year.
Every other streaming platform has Virtual Reality as a category.

At least give us a "VR Games + Demos" alternative. I mean, we have to differentiate VR from regular gaming somehow. Tags just aren't usable enough.
