Virtual Avatar Tag for Vstreamers/Vtubers
The rise of the VR industry and the relatively new phenomenon of Virtual Streamers and Virtual Youtubers has made impact on sites like Twitch as well. There is a very large (800+ and growing) community of streamers on twitch who use a virtual avatar combined with face tracking software to use instead of webcams. VR is already a tag, but it would be nice to distinguish this category for those who use avatars and may play the role of a character. (like HoloLive, for example) It's not much different than having Anime as a tag, for example.
Thank you very much for your time! Please consider voting this up!

HeyGuys!
Super excited to share that we now have a “Vtuber” tag on Twitch!
In the past I had posted on how tags were aimed at the stream and not the streamer, but we have changed our thinking on this as of today and added more than 350 new tags, including this one.
Changes like this are possible because of feedback and threads like this so I just wanted to say thank you again for sharing feedback with us.
For more information, you can take a look at our blog post at https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

we definitely need a vtuber/vstreamer tag. it would definitely help people find the streamers they want to know more about easier.

Much like how LGBTQIA+ streamers tend to foster a certain kind of stream, community and energy- I would argue Vstreamers do as well. ****, many Vstreamers (myself included) /are/ queer and I know several trans Vstreamers specifically. If queer streamers can have a tag despite it not being 'explicitly' referencing the content of their stream, why can't Vtubers? Why not help us grow our communities?? The only way I've been able to find other Vtubers has been by chance through raids. We need a tag!

"The streamer IS the content. Add a vtuber tag."
^^^^^THIS^^^^^^A lot of times I look for Vtubers/vstreamers specifically -- *SPECIFICALLY* -- scrolling through pages and pages of a game or by looking on discord servers, because it's an ENTIRELY different experience from normal/non-v-streamer content. They ARE a HUGE part of the content, and integrate themselves and their characters into what they do way more than most gamers.
If I'm looking for Vstreamer content, I'm looking for *vstreamer content*. It's not comparable to camless or facecam players.

The streamer IS the content. Add a vtuber tag.

With the rise of virtual streamers, having a tag like "vtuber" or "vtwitcher" or "vstreamer" would be a nice way to filter for vtuber content on ur platform.

With twitch acknowledging Vtubers as being an important part of their platform via Twitter, WHY, can we still not have a tag????

@dowski actually everyone doing the Vtuber deserves a tag to help users on twitch finding new Vtubers/Vstreamers, pls , just do it, even hololive started to be part of twitch (starting from Sakura Miko), we need a official TAG

It's always so hard to find new vtubers/vstreamers on twitch, a tag would really be helpful. I get if tags are aimed towards content, but a lot of vtubers have a lot of their content focused around their avatars so it still makes sense to get a tag. Streamers are a part of the content too.

The Vtuber community has been growing a lot recently on Twitch, with dozens of steamers maintaining 1k+ viewers, it can be difficult to find familiar streams because the lack of a common tag. because this, some channels are even adding a "scuffed tag" (like: [Vtuber]) on their title to help with content discovery. I think a change like this would be easy to implement and could only help the community.

If tags are meant to be more towards the stream and not necessarily the streamer as well... Why do we have the LGBT tag then? No, seriously. Speaking as someone who is LGBT a lot of the games I stream aren't inherently related to LGBT topics. They usually aren't. But it's still a useful and popular tag that helps us find fellow LGBT content creators and know we have a safe space in that community.
I realize a Vtuber tag isn't nearly on the same level of importance as an LGBT tag but it would still be useful for many on the platform. I find it strange you would specifically highlight Vtubers on your twitter and such and then... not listen to us when we suggest things.
I also find it a bit odd you would consider a Vtuber avatar not part of the stream content? Some people may use it in lieu of a facecam, but for many of us it's a part of the stream as the game is. We have fun roleplaying. Many of us have channel point redeems that effect the avatar. It's woven into the stream itself.
I do hope you guys reconsider.

a tag that just says "VTuber" would help, marketing-wise and publicity wise

VStreaming = Vitrual Streaming (content)
VTubing = Virtual Tubing (content)They are just about that.

If you're not messing around those asking for a trans tag, you're messing around another community I'm involved with. It was nice to see you release a highlight package for us, which is always good! The Vtuber tag should follow now; that literally is the main focus of the content people are looking for. Please give us this.

Please explain how the streamer is not part of the content of the stream. I would love to have that explained to me. Because I really think you can't explain that one in a way that makes sense.
