Age of Empires II
Merge all Age of Empires 2 games and call the category "Age of Empires II"
Hey guys!
Just following up to let you know that this has been resolved!
We are back to one category for Age of Empires II!
Thank you for the continued feedback on this.

Back in the day there were two categories for Aoe2 and Aoe2 HD. They eventually were consolidated into one category for Aoe2, and it was a great decision. Some websites and other tools display streams with the Aoe2 category, and sometimes streams would be missed if they were on a different game.
Everyone was together under one category before the separate Aoe2 DE category was created. It's great to see the categories are being consolidated again; I'm looking forward to its being finalized (as Age of Empires II without the AoK part).

Yes. 1. Drop the "age of kings" subtitle, its outdated. If any subtitle is used, make it the most recent iteration of AoE2, aka Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. 2. Update thumbnail graphic to DE to properly reflect the most modern version being played now.
3. This is my biggest point. The merger needs to be fixed. Right now all the clips from the definitive edition made by content creators in the last year do NOT show up in the clips for our new category. An entire year of content is virtually lost because you can no longer view the content by looking in the top clips for the AoE 2 category. This is a huge loss to the community. The clips are still on individual content creators channels, but they are missing from the aggregate AoE2 category clips.

As TechnikAlex said, logo should be the newest (DE) logo

Not sure why DE was removed as it was the most popular category but this at least makes more sense than claiming we are still playing the Age of Kings version of the game.

Does anyone have the exhaustive list of games this affects? E.g. Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings, Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors Expansion, Age of Empires 2: HD Edition, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, and several more post-conquerors expansions. It's hard to look them up now that the categories are all gone.

"Age of Empires II" is the only sensible name to list all of the different Age of Empires II versions and extensions under. The currently used "Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings" probably makes least sense of all.

Age of Kings hasn't been the relevant title for Aoe2 in 20 years with the release of the Conquerors expansion, let alone all other versions of the game. If all Age of Empires 2 games get merged to a single category, it absolutely should just be Age of Empires II.
