Designated category for Creative Writing and related content

Ranging from writing and discussing novels, to poetry, scripts, comics, article editing, tabletop campaign planning, world creation, etc. There are a wide array of people doing various forms of creative writing on twitch, (Counted 53 channels so far, still working on finding more) and often it's hard to decide between "Creative" "Art" or "Just Chatting". Currently all we have to search for similar content is the "Writing" tag, which some of the broader definitions are hesitant to use, and is also used by people writing computer code, which is honestly a very different type of content despite it's visual similarities.

A category for this would seriously help us to find content and be found by the wider community of storytelling or wordsmithing fans that use twitch, as well as make it easier for twitches algorithm to identify what we watch. (I am often recommended visual art streams because I watch a lot of writers that use the art category, but never recommended any writing channels, and others I have spoken to experience the same)

    I’ve already commented before but this would be so great especially for all those who do NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). It’s mainly on November but there are other months and it would be fun to connect to others on the same path.

    I may be writing for a TTRPG, but some of the stuff I'm doing doesn't directly relate to my next session and/or campaign because it's setting stuff.

    Absolutely. Right now we're sort of drifting around in a limbo of "not fitting quite anywhere". This would absolutely help.

    Community Writers is an important thing for individuals who are introverted or removed from the ability to have a community to write with in person.

    There's a lot of people that stream worldbuilding and writing and discussions of it on twitch already. A proper category for it would be a vast improvement.

    Yes! There's a lot of writing and worldbuilding discussion happening on Twitch, and having an appropriate category in addition to specific tags would help us find relevant streams.

    As a writer, I feel that there's an enormous writer's community on Twitch. I think a feature like this would make it easier to find fellow writers and connect.

    As someone who does both writing and gaming streams, I'd like to have the option to direct my audience on what's going on in our community more effectively. :)
    Make this a reality! You already have other really great cateogories, so why not add this one?

    This is a necessity, writing is such a fun thing to do together and to share with others - which is the whole reason I started streaming my writing. But due to the lack of a category or tags and community I stopped because I thought that no one else wanted to see writing streamed. Little did I know all of you exist and that's because it didn't have a catagory. So please Twitch add this, it'll be such an amazing addition and will make it so much easier for other writers to find each other!

    plsss, we so need a creative writing category, and some more tags/categories such as world building and table top planning, or just a table top rpg tag in general since we only have the category, and it would be a really good sub tag for creative writing

    Just a reminder: Twitch says in their explanation for how to get a new category approved to share the link to this with everyone you can. So post it on Twitter or other social media platforms as appropriate, share with writing friends and your Twitch community, put a link on your About Me page on Twitch.

    This is a much needed category on Twitch, so let's show them just how much it means to us by telling everyone about this effort.
