Feature to rearrange or sort followed channels
Instead of your followed channels on the Homepage being sorted by viewer ammount it would be nice if I could rearrange or change the sorting so the biggest streamer isnt at the top for me (by default its fine). I like to watch smaller streamers and having to click showmore once or twice everytime Im on twitch to see if theyre streaming is getting annoying especially after I miss a stream every now and then.
I want to have it so that i can categorize my followed channels to custom categories (e.g. a category that plays Hunt etc)
That way if i get fake followers, i can see that by seeing that they're not in a category and makes it easier to spot fakes.
I HIGHLY endorse this feature! I actually found it searching Google to see if anyone had found a way to sort. I would also like to be able to sort my followed channels, by LIVE with LEAST VIEWERS at the top. This is ESPECIALLY helpful when i'm trying to find a fellow streamer to raid!
PLEASE get this into production ASAP!!
Can you make folders for your followed channels?? I follow so many people for different reasons, it would be nice to make a "GTA" folder and put everyone I follow on the NoPixel server there, and another for "DJs" for all the DJs I follow for music..
Similar to how you can make folders on Discord.
I would love this so I can find streamers who straight up faded into the ether so I can follow channels that have any activity
Maybe you could add an option to sort by most views, least views, or watch time. You could put the channels you watch the most at the top of the list instead of the top streamers.
Sorting by "subscription length" would be a nice one too. So you know you have a long sub on the top channels etc
i never have enough people online for sorting by viewer count to be a problem, unless it's during Minecraft Championship, even then i usually watch a yotube stream pov.
The sorting system would be nice for offline tho, instead of sorting channels by how many streams ive missed, cause when i want to actually watch a vod, i usually have to go to the bottom of the followed list(3 clicks of show more). its kinda annoying with the streamer with the most missed livestreams at the top, instead of the bottom.
Looks like twitch sort of implemented this as a test feature for a while (https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/twitch-experimenting-with-new-way-to-customize-followed-channels-lists-1476766/). When this was activated on my account, I loved it! But now it has been disabled... Please enable this again Twitch!
But don't change the sorting without my consent, twitch. That is what they did with my account. My sorting is total chaos. And I have no option to change the sorting.
So if twitch implements this, please give us the option to choose what sorting we want.
wish i could rearrange them so badly.
I like the ideas here but I just realized that it used to default sort highest view count descending, now it just seems totally random. I can't find the streamers I want to watch nor do I have the time to suss through Twitch random sorting. Pls add user sort functionality.
Get the 'Twitch Now' extension, i believe in Chrome or Firefox. It shows you when people you follow get online. It will alert you, you can click to go to their stream...and you can sort its list of your following by number of viewers (ascending or descending), title of the artist ( A-Z or Z-A), game being played, or how recently they logged on.
I've been searching around for an extension that does this. I have maybe a hundred followed channels and it's becoming super frustrating to find any that aren't currently streaming with a high viewer count. The fact that it isn't a base feature I believe is intentional and they probably have rules that restrict third party devs like BTTV. They're trying to promote higher value streamers.
Exactly. Totally aggree with this one. Alphabetical, most viewers, most followers, user's most watched channels (so that the channels a user is watching frequently are automatically on top) or simply manual are sorting methods I would like to see on twitch. Also giving the user the option to group channels by game or a user created category on the bar on the left side would also be cool.
