Categorize who you follow into folders
I would love if we all could have to option to categorize those we follow into folders (we can name), or sub-divisions. So then the 300 + I follow or others do, can locate who they want a lot faster when going to raid/host/find.
I was looking for this suggestion! I follow so many streamers now it's easy to miss someone I'd have loved to watch only to find out they were streaming later through hearing about it from a friend! Really need a category for streamers who usually play x games, my teams and streams I regularly watch. So then I can also easily go outside of those categories and find someone I haven't watched in a while :)
This feature can be special for "twitch prime gaming" or at least 1 subscription on any channel.
So let's say I have 20 channels I follow. I would like to be able to create a folder and let's say I call it Art. I want to be able to place all the art channels I follow into that folder. Then I create gaming (or specififc game like valorant) folder and I want to be able to place gaming channels into that folder. the sidebar is jarring to scroll through when you follow many many channels and a lot of streamers are streaming at the same time. I want to be able to go through my followed channels through categories. So i think folder creation like on discord would be amazing to have.
YES!!! Please add this! It could make it so much easier to organize all the streamers I follow. I was going to submit this suggestion myself but it's already here.
I also agree. Us being able to organized and condense our follow list into user creatable categories, would help so much in keeping my follow list manageable and easier to use!
I think this idea has a lot of potential and would really improve my unique platform experience. I am not sure how utilized it would be but I see it being used similarly to how Discord implemented their folders.
Yes please we sooo need this
More customization options for what channels appear on your "followed channels" list. A single list of followed channels by viewer count doesn't necessarily correspond to a viewer's preference. I would argue most accounts on Twitch follow 10+ accounts, so having the ability to categorize your followed channels (through labeled folders, sort by personal preference, sort by gaming category, etc.) would allow viewers to have a better experience. The ability to "hide" followed channels would also be a feature worth pursuing, as there are many channels that get followed simply as support of the channel but without intent of viewing them on a consistent basis.
All of us want to follow and support a lot of streamers, but the single list of all followed channels sorted in order of current viewers simply doesn't work. It should be possible either to create folders of channels, or apply any number hashtags (or similar) to each channel at any time; limiting it to on initial follow would be awkward for users without keyboards.
Hi Twitch instead of sorting the followed channels by viewcount or who you watch the most, give people the option on how they want to sort their follow list whether it be watch activity, viewer count high/low or low/high. It'll give each person freedom on how they use this platform.
I would really like to be able to use folders in my list of streamers, to categorize with the game are or what streamers are a priority.
Sorry my English is trash
I have and idea (optional) ( hope this is the right place to post) Its like a folder system for the channel you folllow ( and subscribe ) so they dont get all mixed up ! For example you follow 15 streamers ( no matter how much viewers they have ) that you watch everytime they are on. 20 you watch sometimes ! 10 are only stream League of Legends etc. So you sort them into folders( your own categories ) for better management and own navigation !
Ex. people that play gta role play you can put in a group and people that play certain games you can put them in a category.
Have the choice to organize the streamers you follow either by name or game being played. Instead of just viewers.
I 4th this idea, having a giant list that has no rhyme or reason to it just isn't conducive to finding who I want to watch. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a music stream, sometimes I want to support a friend, sometimes I want to watch a zelda speedrunner. Being able to group these streamers together would be a massive boon as my following list continues to grow.
I follow several people, but sometimes i want to check only the streamers playing a certain game. It should be allowed to us the optioin to group our streamers by game in the left panel!
I was just seeing if anyone else had this idea. I would like the same thing where we can name the different groups rather than having them all bunched up. I would like to categorize to ones that we know personally versus the rest
Agree with OP. It would be great if you could organize your followed channel list into different folders that could be re-named into different categories i.e. music streamers, Hearthstone streamers, Tarkov streamers etc.
this would be useful for me because I follow a lot of streamers but its hard to find the 3 main ones i watch so if i could have them in a seperate area then the rest that would be sick
Would be useful to categorize all people I follow for example are they English streamers are they mainly just chatting etc Many people can have like hundreds of people they follow and some channels you only look for tournaments etc so would help if I can have way to find my favorite channels fast and the channels I watch little less.
