Allow users to create taxonomies/categories to sort streamers they follow.
I would like to be able to sort the streamers I follow into different categories, perhaps based on a taxonomy system. For instance, I follow a lot of Rocket League streamers, I also follow a lot of Zelda streamers, and I follow a lot of musicians. I would like to be able to tag these streamers. So I may tag Rocket League streamers with: "Rocket League," "Games," "Funny," etc. And I may tag music streamers with "Original Music," "Covers," "Funny," etc. Then when I go to my follow page, I could easily sort and display streamers I am in the mood to look at.
In the example above, to take it further, if I clicked "Funny," I would see Rocket League and Music streamers who I've tagged as "Funny," and that's fine with me.
To take it even further, perhaps I could even choose to view other viewers' recommended tags (it could be like the Recommended section at the bottom of the follow page currently), to discover new "Rocket League" streamers or "Original Music" streamers, etc.
Thanks!

I am all for managing who you follow, but I don't think 3k channels is a number that is reasonable in any way.
This can lead to people just following stuff as if they'd bookmark a webpage they tell themself they will visit again, but never will.Better features managing following channels - yay
Making the follow section just a place to horde channels - nay -

Let users favorite the channels so they can easily find the ones they enjoy the most watching in the beginning of the following list / bar.
Or let them put the following channels into categories and apply sorts/filters to them.
I watched twitch for over 5 years and in this time I have followed over 3k channels. I have a really hard time to find the channels that don't have crazy numbers in the following list or in the following bar.
Also, an easy way to mass manage the notifications of both the channels online and offline that you follow, would be really awesome.

this would be useful for me because I follow a lot of streamers but its hard to find the 3 main ones i watch so if i could have them in a seperate area then the rest that would be sick

(Should also apply to the order in the big list, not just to the sidebar)

+1 on this request. Twitch Sings auto-follows people for me, and there are many streamers that I like, and if I have nothing else to watch will watch, but there are certain streamers I want to watch whenever they are online. Being able to pull select streamers to the top of the list would be very useful.
Particularly that Twitch sorts by number of viewers and puts the big streams at the top, which I usually only watch for special announcements, makes the current order useless. Maybe general sorting support would be good? Sort by viewers ascending/descending, sort by hours on (shortest first, long streams will probably end soon) etc.?

Since 2017 how is this not a thing yet in 2020? I learned web development this isn't the hardest thing you could do Twitch.

For the offline followed channels sidebar/section(on mobile)make it alphabetical order because looking for a channel that is offline is hard to find when its scattered within all the other channels that you are following and it simply just makes it more organized.

How is this still not fixed, I should at the very LEAST be able to sort Followed Channels alphabetically to find someone offline.

Ability to filter/search the followed channels list on the left side of the screen would be really nice. As the list grows larger and larger, it becomes more difficult to remember exact channel names. Often I remember only a portion of a streamer's name (that I know I'm following), but I have no way of finding it in my long list.
Thanks!

Even just the ability to pin your fav streamer to the top of the list. It blows my mind that the streamer I watch EVERY DAY is at the bottom!? of the list half the time when i try and get in early

Would be useful to categorize all people I follow for example are they English streamers are they mainly just chatting etc Many people can have like hundreds of people they follow and some channels you only look for tournaments etc so would help if I can have way to find my favorite channels fast and the channels I watch little less.

Twitch overloads the concept of Followers/Following in at least two separate ways. The first is the streamer progression from a new streamer to Twitch Affiliate and then Twitch Partner. The second is the list of channels that shows up on the left bar under "Followed Channels". I want to be able to support streamers by following them, but I am not necessarily interested in keeping up with the content they create on regular basis because I only have so much time.
TL;DR please make the Followed Channels list customizable by allowing a viewer to control which streams show up there e.g. marking a stream as a favorite.

I'm also interested in the plan of reordering Followed Channels by Category, or time spent watching each streamer. (that you can CHOOSE to set it up); because the number of watcher's doesn't mean much to me. Finding which channel I'd love to watch is my major priority, so number of people watching doesn't really help at all!

스트리밍을 중지한지, 몇년(몆달) 지난 체널은 자동으로 팔로워 취소해 주는 기능도 필요해요.
Channels that have stopped streaming for several years (new months) also need a feature that automatically cancels followers.

See, I always view all the vods for my favorite streamers so when they aren't live, I need to go to the literal last followed channel to find the vod I want, it's crazy
