Allow users to create taxonomies/categories to sort streamers they follow.
I would like to be able to sort the streamers I follow into different categories, perhaps based on a taxonomy system. For instance, I follow a lot of Rocket League streamers, I also follow a lot of Zelda streamers, and I follow a lot of musicians. I would like to be able to tag these streamers. So I may tag Rocket League streamers with: "Rocket League," "Games," "Funny," etc. And I may tag music streamers with "Original Music," "Covers," "Funny," etc. Then when I go to my follow page, I could easily sort and display streamers I am in the mood to look at.
In the example above, to take it further, if I clicked "Funny," I would see Rocket League and Music streamers who I've tagged as "Funny," and that's fine with me.
To take it even further, perhaps I could even choose to view other viewers' recommended tags (it could be like the Recommended section at the bottom of the follow page currently), to discover new "Rocket League" streamers or "Original Music" streamers, etc.
Thanks!

this would be a lovely feature.

On a users left hand followed channels list It would be cool if we were allowed to hover over a random streamer with our cursor and see a muted live view of the stream to see if we want to click in at that moment or not. Idk just a random thought.

When you start to follow more channels it becomes a messy experience. You forget the channel name so you have to look through the whole channels following list which is not fun to do that's for sure or when you look through who is on live it's also not fun to keep scrolling through everything to find your favourites or what you feel like watching at the time.
Why can't there be like an add stars l/ favourites feature to channels we enjoy the most at present so that those channels are always at the top of our lists and at the top of the Following - Live section as well. This at minimum would be amazinggggg! Obviously, we should be able to add and remove stars as our interest changes. If you want to be fancy this is something you could report back to streamers - how many people have starred their channel as favourites etc.
Then secondly if it could automatically break down into categories at least in the Following - Channels section or that we can create our own folders. So we can tag and put some channels in Music, some IRL, some in Gaming and so forth. That way if we want to watch "X"or a particular category we can easily sort through who is live at the time or find the channel we are after when offline for vods.
It kind of makes you unfollow channels just to keep your Following - Live section clean of what no longer interests you right now and that's drastic because maybe you would watch again later if you could sort it better.

playlists and likes/favs would be nice
I find looking for things in general a little difficult on twitch -

I follow a lot of twitch channels and I rely on the "followed channels" tab to see who is currently live. The problem is that since I follow so many channels, and the list is ordered by viewer count, many of the streams I like to watch get buried far down the list and I end up not realizing they are live. I would love to be able to choose streams as a "favorite" and have those at the top of the sidebar so I will always be able to tell when my favorite streams are live. Thank you! :)

A categorization feature to organize the follow list would be incredible. You'd be able to make folders for channels you visit frequently and another folder for channels you visit from time to time.
I love to support as many people as possible, but having to hit "show more" several times gets very frustrating. This leads to a potential purge of the list which is unideal.

I would like to be able to mark channels as favorites and see them at the top of the Live section. This is why I am very selective of who I follow. I do not want to follow 100+ channels, when I am only actively watching 5-10. This is bad for streamers, because it lowers their potential follower counts.

Your suggestion is more advanced, as you could create a Favorites category, but also different ones. -

I'd like to be able to sort followed channels by category. So I can see all the streamers I follow playing GTA or Just Chatting. I'd like to be able to pick a category like GTA then search within that category for NoPixel or another server. By either using a search bar or a tag specific to that category.

I was looking for this suggestion! I follow so many streamers now it's easy to miss someone I'd have loved to watch only to find out they were streaming later through hearing about it from a friend! Really need a category for streamers who usually play x games, my teams and streams I regularly watch. So then I can also easily go outside of those categories and find someone I haven't watched in a while :)

This feature can be special for "twitch prime gaming" or at least 1 subscription on any channel.

Instead of having our dozens (hundreds!?) of followed channels in one lump, allow us to create custom-named folders to group our channels like we want... sports, music, games, etc....

Hi guys!
If you follow 50+ channels on twtich, it can be hard to keep track on who's streaming but you also don't wanna unfollow channels which you just watch every now and then. I suggest that there is an option where you can create custom folders that you can name however you want.
i.e.: A Priority, B Priority, C Priority.
or: League of Legends, Shooters, IRL, othersNot sure if this is the right place for this idea but I hope i managed to make my point clear. I would love to hear your opinion on this!
Cheers

So let's say I have 20 channels I follow. I would like to be able to create a folder and let's say I call it Art. I want to be able to place all the art channels I follow into that folder. Then I create gaming (or specififc game like valorant) folder and I want to be able to place gaming channels into that folder. the sidebar is jarring to scroll through when you follow many many channels and a lot of streamers are streaming at the same time. I want to be able to go through my followed channels through categories. So i think folder creation like on discord would be amazing to have.

I am one of many people that follow well over a hundred streamers, and there are few that I like more than others. Rather than facing the small inconvenience of scrolling down to see a streamer that I want to watch, we can potentially implement a "favourite" feature that will bring that broadcaster on the top of our following page despite viewership !

YES!!! Please add this! It could make it so much easier to organize all the streamers I follow. I was going to submit this suggestion myself but it's already here.

Please add and allow the ability to put users you follow into groups. Like a folder/group. So that when you see on the left, Followed Channels, or if you go to the channels you follow, you can easily see them grouped up in folders/groups.
IE one example would be: Path of Exile streamers, you could label POE and put followed channels into that group. While you can see what game people are playing at the moment of course. Certain players main certain games. And so if you follow a bunch of people and see a bunch of people live. It would be nice to be able to pull up and see certain groups of users you follow, from certain communities/games.
Almost everything else out there has the ability to put things into groups/folders. It would just be a really nice feature.

I also agree. Us being able to organized and condense our follow list into user creatable categories, would help so much in keeping my follow list manageable and easier to use!

I think this idea has a lot of potential and would really improve my unique platform experience. I am not sure how utilized it would be but I see it being used similarly to how Discord implemented their folders.

Would be nice, to have an organized list of channel. The possibility to group up some channel by a tag or a note, would be a very interesting feature. Hope this can be considered asap.
